Residing in the one of nation’s fastest growing cities, I not only want to coexist with the commercial real
estate (CRE) companies that continue to see value in the Charlotte market, but also look forward to the
opportunities to take my professional skills and analytical abilities out of graduate school and into a
future career Commercial Asset management. I am writing to express my interest in exploring career
opportunities in Capital budgeting and Financial Analysis.
My professional decisions to date remain guided by my genuine interest in commercial finance and
development. With a stronger understanding developed through comprehensive study and repeatedly
tested by unique challenges. I continue to enhance my skillset with practical real-world application at
my present internship, where I work alongside a CRE analyst to perform tasks associated with a variety
of CRE products and services. I have also competed in the annual Urban Land Institute Hines
Competition, to provide financial modeling support. The development project comprised of a 20-
structure development district in the CBD of Houston, with civic, commercial, and residential mixed
uses. The time frame presented its own set of challenges but development succeeded to be in the top
25% in the nation. I attribute these abilities to perform under time constraints from the organization,
planning, and structure learned at Waterstone and Peter Kiewit and Son’s. I look forward to utilizing my
talents and skills as both a leader and an effective team player in a sophisticated active environment.
A career in Commercial Asset Management will unquestionably allow me put to practice my experience
in CRE underwriting, financial reviews and compliance. I am enthusiastic and prepared to participate in
what I believe to be a challenging and rewarding opportunity. Ultimately, I intend to use this chance to
cultivate my career professionally and grow personally.
