This is a slide on why online content tips never worked for me and how you add a new strategy that may be just what you need to achieve your purpose long term.
2. Have you ever asked that to yourself. I have. Today I'm
going to answer that question, why content marketing
tips never work for me. I know content marketing has
been promoted as a fix all for everything but it has to do
a few things for it to actually work.
3. There are a lot of things that make content useful to
readers so I'm only going to dig into one or two reason
right now, in this post.
You see, content creators need to, in my opinion, decide
who they are marketing to. Are they marketing to
people new to online marketing. Are they marketing to
people who have been online for a while and want to
learn the next steps to something. Something that could
take them to the next level?
4. There is a lot of information for people at the beginner
level. You can see it whenever you look for information.
You usually get the linear steps.
You know, introduction, bullet point one, bullet point
two, bullet point three and so on with a resource box
that allows people to get on an email list.
5. Most people are looking for a step within a topic, ok?
They are wanting to learn a topic that is specific.
Something they can implement into their business. This
comes with time but the way I see it, is that people have
to learn one specific topic at an expert level to be able
to coach on it, create products from it and all the other
elements of a business that allows you to really help
people build a business like nobody else.
6. So, if your content is teaching what you pull up on the
internet, you will likely be at a beginner level. Now I'm
not saying I know everything at an expert level because I
don't.
But like me you can be heading in the right direction like
so many that have built tons of evergreen traffic and
optimized that traffic. I mean I have so many things I
work on to optimize my content but you have to think
long term. You have to build that foundation even if
you're part time. I can't get into that here because I
want to focus on the topic.
7. Here's something else. You can talk in a conversational
tone. I mean, if you were talking to somebody wouldn't
you want to speak to them as if you were sitting across
from them having a cup of coffee or just hanging out
having a conversation.
You wouldn't say, today I'm going to teach you on so
and so. Then read of bullet point after bullet point. If
you had a conversation like that with a friend that would
be kind of weird . That is another way to have people
want to read and engage.
8. So you kind of have to be yourself. Why do I say that?
Because you have to have your own expert frame. You
can't have somebody else’s expert frame and succeed in
content marketing. Have you ever noticed that most
people create the same type of content. That is how
they were taught.
How can you build your expert frame components
without content that engages people? Have can people
become engaged with you so that they come to you, get
referrals for you and have long term business from you,
if they can get it from your competitors?
9. So you have to dig in to your topics and really hunker
down and learn all about that topic. Have a way to learn
on topics that nobody else has taught on before. In
todays online environment, you can't succeed with just
a great looking website and replicated content.
You'll get people that don't want to learn from you.
You'll get tire kickers. You'll get people that don't care if
they fill up your email inbox because they will give you a
fake email anyway, just to get your free report.
10. Don't focus on people that just want to read your blog
posts.
Focus on the people that want to move to the next level
and have the topic focused content that shows them you
can do just that.
Don't focus on content creation that can get thousands
of people on your list that will never buy anyway.
11. Now it's important to appear to be an expert when first
starting out. So you can concentrate on getting a lot of
content out there in a short period of time and that is
important even though you are not a top expert.
By that I mean somebody that has the knowledge to
help people effectively but not the online presence yet.
12. You can get a few people to meet with you and that you
can work with to get you an income, I won't be talking
about that here but for now but if you're moving to the
next level and you want to implement what I've taught
in this post you are probably somebody that is serious
and really wants to finish what you started.
13. I hope this post helped you in some way and that you go
back to this post again in a few days and then next
month than in maybe a year and allow it to be in your
subconscious mind to be able to create content and
teach it in any format and at any time.
14. Do you feel you may want to do some more research on
this topic or topics just like this one. If so go to…
