Different forms of art are discussed including photorealism, realism, impressionism, and abstract art. Photorealism focuses on creating highly realistic representations that look like photographs. Realism depicts objects and subjects as they appear in real life. Impressionism emerged in the 19th century using rough and unfinished techniques that did not clearly depict subjects. Abstract art consciously deviates from realism and focuses on the essence of subjects rather than how they appear in reality.
