2. Japan Earthquake What happened during the disaster is unfortunate. What happens after is our responsibility.

3. The destruction may seem overwhelming

4. Many lost everything Homes, businesses and loved ones.

5. Some people are given a burden: The burden of enduring the disaster and the conditions that follow

6. Some are given a gift, The gift of being spared from the disaster.

7. How can we not use our gift to lift the burden of others?

8. Is helping any help? Not really… At least not in the way we are doing it…

9. Everyone can help.

13. we measure our success by the delivery of help or completion of actions not actual impact.

15. Relief 2.0 is comprised of individuals who act independently, without the constrains of red tape -- to get things done. Relief 2.0 get information and issues on the ground out, and connects the local people with people around the world through social networks. Small independent units then complete the cycle by actually addressing those issues and delivering the response required and supported by the social network.

20. When disaster strikes… The physical infrastructure is destroyed.

21. When disaster strikes… the social infrastructure remains, people’s capacity remains

23. Disaster Relief with dignity, inclusion, generation and distribution of wealth…

24. Although we cannot help those who have lost their lives. We can however, empower those who survived to rebuild their community.

25. Relief 2.0 Enterprise We need to start working with the disaster survivors and enable them as entrepreneurs before they are turned into refugees by conventional relief.

26. We plan to support local businesses to restart and to help communities get back on their feet.

27. We can enable them to restart their businesses, by engaging them in the rebuilding process and connecting them to those who can support them.
