Who can apply?
• Any Junior or Senior Dartmouth student who has...
o Completed Public Policy 5, or
o Completed Public Policy 40
• Applicants must be available to travel to India during the first three weeks of December.
• Applicants must be able to pay for their own airline tickets. However, assistance is available for students on financial aid.

• Only 12 students are selected into the course. Consider having a back-up plan, in case you are not selected.
• If you are a Junior and do not get accepted, consider taking PBPL 5 so that you can qualify next year.

• Include a 100-150 word personal bio (see a sample bio here).
• Be prepared to answer the following:
• How does the subject of this year’s global policy practicum, economic reform in India, fit with your
larger academic and intellectual interests?
• This class requires rigorous travel in a developing country and a great deal of collaborative group
work. What experiences have prepared you to be a constructive participant in this kind of learning
environment?
• Have a Dartmouth professor in mind whom we could contact for a recommendation, if we decide to.
