2. Requirements At least FIVE minutes long No longer than TEN minutes Should present the information gathered in your Research Paper You may change your topic (NOT RECOMMENDED), but you MUST CLEAR IT WITH ME first

3. Requirements Must integrate PowerPoint, PowerPoint Live, OpenOffice, orGoogle Docs Presentation slides into the speech At least six slides that highlight or illuminate the key points of your speech You must turn in a complete copy of your presentation or share it on the web before you will get credit for the speech.

4. Oral Presentation Should be interesting, well-rehearsed with smooth delivery that holds audience attention. Points will be deducted for reading off the projection screen. Eye contact, volume, elocution, posture, and other traditional speech conventions will be part of the grade.

5. Organization Content should be well organized using headings or bulleted lists to group related material. Text on the screen should be minimal. Do not put information on the screen that you will simply orally regurgitate.

6. Content Should cover topic in-depth with details and examples. Subject knowledge should be excellent.

7. Mechanics There should be no misspellings or grammatical errors. Attribution should appear on the presentation (MLA style) in the notes section (not visible to the audience) or as a final works cited page (visible to the audience). Doesn’t go toward slide count

8. Attractiveness Should make excellent use of font, color, graphics, effects, etc. to enhance to presentation. Effects should notdetract from thepresentation

9. Grading 160 Points A graduation requirement – must pass to graduate
