Background: Cyrus Mistry is a graduate in Civil Engineering from Imperial College, UK and has an MSc in
Management from London Business School. Mistry has been associated with the Shapoorji Pallonji Group
since 1994. Under his guidance, Shapoorji Pallonji’s construction business has grown from a turnover of US
$20 million to approximately US $1.5 billion, with a presence in over 10 countries. He joined the Board of Tata
Sons Limited in 2006 and is presently the Executive Chairman.

N Chandrasekaran: chief Executive Officer (Managing Director)
Background: Chandra has spent his career in TCS, joining the company in 1987 after completing Masters in
Computer Applications from Regional Engineering College, Trichy, Tamil Nadu.
Born in 1963, Chandra lives in Mumbai,
Role: Natarajan Chandrasekaran (‘Chandra’) is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Tata
Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading global IT solution and consulting firm, and a member of its Board of
Directors. He was elevated to the role of Chief Executive in October 2009 after serving as the Chief Operating
Officer since 2007. Under his leadership TCS has generated consolidated revenues of US $16.5 billion in 2015-
16. With over 353,000 consultants, TCS has become the largest private sector employers in India with the
highest retention rate in a globally competitive industry. The market capitalization of the company crossed US
$80 billion during 2014-15, making TCS the most valuable company in India.
3. Aarthi Subramanian: Global Head of Delivery Excellence Group (Executive Director)
Background: She holds a B.tech in Computer Science from National Institute of Technology,
Warangal (India) and a Masters degree in Engineering Management from University of Kansas
(USA). Aarthi started her career as a graduate trainee in TCS in 1989. She went on to become an
analyst, project manager and then moved from a Delivery Manager to a Senior Executive role in
TCS. During her 25 year career, she has worked in diverse roles in India, Sweden, US and Canada
and has rich experience in Account Management, Delivery and Large Program Management.
Aarthi also had a stint of over five years with Informix Software.
Role: Ms Aarthi is the Global Head of Delivery Excellence Group responsible for governance of
service delivery, compliance and risk management. She was appointed as the Executive Director
to the Board of TCS on March 12, 2015 for a period of three years.
Aman Mehta: Director ( Independent Non-Executive)
Background: Mr. Aman Mehta graduated from Delhi University with an Economics degree in
1967. He has over 36 years of experience in various positions with the HSBC Group, from where
he retired in January 2004 as CEO, Asia Pacific.
Role: He has wide experience in the field of Banking and Finance. Mr. Mehta occupies himself
primarily with corporate governance, with board and advisory role in a range of companies and
institutions in India as well as overseas.
4. Venkatraman Thyagarajan
Director (Independent Non-Executive)
Background:Mr. V. Thyagarajan is a B. Tech (Elec) from IIT Delhi and also holds an MBA from the
Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. In a career spanning 38 years, he has held
numerous senior positions in GlaxoSmithKline including Marketing Consultant for Europe; Area
Marketing Director for Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe; Managing Director, India;
Role: Area Director for South East Asia and South Asia, finally retiring as Senior Vice President
and Regional Director, Asia Pacific. He is currently Vice Chairman of GlaxoSmithKline, India and
Board Member of Varian Medical Systems Inc., USA.
