This document provides an overview of basic iPad features for iOS 7 including how to use the sleep/wake and home buttons, gestures like pinching and swiping, how to open and close apps, search for apps, use the keyboard and Safari browser, take photos with the camera and view photos, and how to transfer photos off the iPad using transfer apps. 8. 5 Finger Pinch
Swipe the screen with all 5
fingers to exit out of an
app. This works the same
as the home button.
9. Closing an app
In iOS7, you simply double
tap on the Home button
to display all current
running apps. Swipe the
app upward with your
finger to close it.
10. Searching for an
app
Tap in the middle
of the screen on
the wallpaper,
not an app and
drag down. This
will bring up the
search bar. Type
in the name of
the app or
keyword.
14. Camera
Tap the camera icon to
take both still photos and
videos using the front
FaceTime camera or the
back camera.
15. Photos
Tap this icon to view your
photos and videos. The
camera roll is found here.
16. How to get photo
projects off the
