Overview of the national Urban Land Institute and the ULI Memphis District. National and local initiatives are discussed in a general way. A brief explanation of the Greenway/Blueway Initiative and the Zipper Zone concept for Memphis inside the beltway are outlined.

Founded in 1936, the institute now has members in 80 countries worldwide, representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines, working in private enterprise and public service.
