2. Indiana’s Elections are Tuesday, November 4th
• Voter registration ends on Monday, October 6th
• You can register:
• online at www.indianavoters.com if you have a valid
Indiana Driver’s license or Indiana state ID card
• by mail with a form postmarked on or before October
6th (forms available here in ET2!)
• in person at the Voter Registration Office in the Johnson
Hardware Building, 401 W. 7th Street
• at any BMV
• Find permanent residence info. and other details relevant
to college students at www.in.gov/sos/elections/2626.htm

3. Before Election Day: Tuesday, November 4th
You can visit www.IndianaVoters.com to:
• register to vote online (before Monday, October 6th)
• confirm your voter registration
• find your polling place
• view your provisional ballot

you will be unable to reach your polling station) can be found:

4. Acceptable Photo ID Guidelines
Photo IDs have 4 requirements. They must:
• display your photo
• display your name, which must conform to your voter registration
information
• it need not be identical, for instance can say “Bob” instead of “Robert”
• display an expiration date & be current or have expired sometime
after the date of the last General Election (November 6, 2012)
• be issued by the State of Indiana or the U.S. Government
IN driver licenses, IN photo ID cards, military ID cards, U.S. Passports,
and IU student ID cards are usually sufficient (not private school IDs)

5. On Election Day: Tuesday, November 4th
• Polls will be open from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm local time
• You must bring an acceptable photo ID
• You have the right to cast a provisional ballot if your
eligibility is challenged
• If you have a temporary or permanent disability, you may
be assisted in the voting booth if you request assistance
before entering the booth
• Assistance/service animals are allowed in all voting
buildings
