1. Rome is the largest city in Italy and gets a lot of tourism
because of Vatican City and the remains of the Roman
Empire.
2. In the north are the 3 cities Milan, Turin and Genoa very
populated each city in the top six most populated cities in
Italy.
3. The south of Italy is very sparsely populated Naples. Bari
and Catania are the biggest cities there in the region
known as Mezzogiorno.
4. Florence is a very historical city and so attract a lot of
people.
5. Sardinia is a very remote region with very little resources
hot climate and disconnected from the mainland.
4. REASONS FOR POPULATION DENSITY
1. The climate of the North Italian Plain is more like the
climate in France with warm summer and freezing
winters making it more enjoyable to live in.
2. Milan has lots of jobs Alfa Romeo Automobiles, fashion,
textiles, steel. Genoa has a well developed port.

3. The terrain in the south makes it difficult to transport
