• Ban fishing trawlers from countries outside the EU
• Pass a law that reduces the size of fishing fleets
• Put a yearly QUOTA on fish catches
• Ban the fishing of endangered species of fish (for
example cod fishing in Irish Sea)
• Have a shorter fishing season
• Create more ‘fish farms’ to produce fish for eating
• Increase the size of the fishing net ‘mesh’
• Set a time for how long a trawler can be out at sea.
• Increase Irish Navy Patrols to protect Irish waters
