If you happen to meet an inspector...
1. Be polite & professional.
2. Speak confidently.
3. Tell them what you do if you are asked.
4. Tell them how doing your job helps the learner’s/team members.
5. Give examples of specific occasions where you/your team went the extra mile.
6. If you are an Assessor/Trainer you will know each of your learner’s individual
needs & capabilities. Make sure that you speak about each learner’s specific
needs & not just the group’s needs so the inspector is clear about how you
differentiate.
7. If you are an Assessor/Trainer and you have the opportunity, give example(s) of
how observations have helped you improve the learning that takes place on your
programmes.
8. If you don’t understand the question, say so. The inspector will be happy to
explain what he/she means.
9. Don’t make it up: If you don’t know the answer, say so but if appropriate offer to
find out the answer.
10.Remember: Our evidence tells that Pathway is‘Good/Outstanding’! That means
that the contributions made by you and your team are also at the same level.
Don’t under-sell what you do.‘MAKE IT SHINE!’
11.Remember how you do a SWOT,TNA & CPD log to help improve yourself.
12.Remember personnel development is on-going & we work together & support
you to bring out the best of your ability.
AND FINALLY...
All of you have contributed to the SAR at some point over the past 6 months,
either by interview, survey or through a meeting.
Your inputs, together with learner/employer views & evidence from other
sources, tell us we are‘Good/Outstanding’.

  • 2. If you happen to meet an inspector... 1. Be polite & professional. 2. Speak confidently. 3. Tell them what you do if you are asked. 4. Tell them how doing your job helps the learner’s/team members. 5. Give examples of specific occasions where you/your team went the extra mile. 6. If you are an Assessor/Trainer you will know each of your learner’s individual needs & capabilities. Make sure that you speak about each learner’s specific needs & not just the group’s needs so the inspector is clear about how you differentiate. 7. If you are an Assessor/Trainer and you have the opportunity, give example(s) of how observations have helped you improve the learning that takes place on your programmes. 8. If you don’t understand the question, say so. The inspector will be happy to explain what he/she means. 9. Don’t make it up: If you don’t know the answer, say so but if appropriate offer to find out the answer. 10.Remember: Our evidence tells that Pathway is‘Good/Outstanding’! That means that the contributions made by you and your team are also at the same level. Don’t under-sell what you do.‘MAKE IT SHINE!’ 11.Remember how you do a SWOT,TNA & CPD log to help improve yourself. 12.Remember personnel development is on-going & we work together & support you to bring out the best of your ability. AND FINALLY... All of you have contributed to the SAR at some point over the past 6 months, either by interview, survey or through a meeting. Your inputs, together with learner/employer views & evidence from other sources, tell us we are‘Good/Outstanding’.
