The Level 5 Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector is the teaching qualification
developed particularly for the full teaching role in the further education sector in England - though it
can be used more widely.
This qualification will prepare you for a successful career as a teacher in your chosen subject
within further education.
Who are they for?
These qualifications have been develop for those working, or looking to work, in a teaching role
in the Further Education (FE) sector in England. You can take this generic qualification and a
separate subject specific qualification.
This comprises mandatory and optional units including:
• Curriculum development for inclusive practice
• Wider professional practice
• Enabling learning through assessment
• Applying theories and principles for planning and enabling inclusive learning and teaching
• Effective partnership working in the learning and teaching context.
