Discussion
The layer of the study area
was obtained from the
official website of DoS.
The dissolve feature from
geoprocessing tab was used
to dissolve the local level
boundary.

The new shapefile with the greater extent to encompass the study area was created to make
the clipping process of rasters more accurate, undisturbed with that of pixel size.

The reclassification
of elevation data
was based on the
JK Jackson, 1994
literature, Manual
of afforestation
volume 2- which
mentions that the
elevation range of
Dalbergia sissoo is
upto 1500 m.
The reclassification
is made
accordingly.

aspect data is
made in 4 classes
as:
Flat, South,
South west and
West considered
to be suitable
site,
Southeast
considered
moderately
suitable,
East and
Northeast
considered less
suitable,
North considered
non suitable.
