A Designation given to a City.
Includes Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) to enhance the urban services.
Such as Energy, Transportation and Utilities.
In order to reduce resource consumption, wastage
and overall costs.

 With the mission to develop 100 cities.
 Across the country making them citizen friendly
and sustainable.

application of 'Smart' Solutions.
100 Smart Cities Mission
 Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
 On 25 June 2016 in Pune, Maharashtra.
 A total of Rs.98,000 crore has been approved.
- Rs.48,000 crore for the Smart Cities mission
-Rs.50,000 crore for the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation
and Urban Transformation (AMRUT).

 Improves both the quality of Government and Citizen Welfare.
