1. Christopher Marley
was born in southern California and grew up in Oregon. At nineteen he began his travels
while serving as a missionary for two years in the Atacama Desert of northern Chile.
As a young artist, Christopher Marley spent years in tropical regions the world over where colorful, flamboyant
insects are plentiful and diverse. His fascination with these exquisite creatures led to lengthy study of entomology
and arduous excursions in search of rare specimens.
