Pink Rides is a community bike program for students at the Rhode Island School of Design. It is a project uted throughout the campus. In
under the umbrella of Bike Town. addition there will be posters an

VBike Town is a student run organization which serves as a forum for cyclists on and around the RISD campus. the bikes themsleves.
It supports projects to make RISD and Providence more bike friendly. It also organizes events for the cycling
community such as rides, races and workshops.
PINK
Pink Rides is a free service. Its goal is to extend the joys of cycling to those who do not have access. It allows a
broader range of motion to students who do not own bikes, thus allowing students to get out of their
quot;bubblequot; with greater ease. It also provides a means of green transportation.

Currently Pink Rides is in its BETA stage. Pilot bikes and advertisement will be on campus before Nov. 20. We + a community bike

The system for the pilot program is simple. Students who want to rent a bike go to the lobby of 15 West (RISD can send you a link to our

or interested in the cycling community in Providence. Our biggest current need is bike locks. Quality locks are
far out of our budget, however, cheap locks are a huge risk as theft could quickly end our endeavors. We are

currently own.
