Cooperatıve Learning Technique
• Coopeartive learning is a succesful teaching strategy in
which small teams, each with students of different levels
of ability,use variety of learning activities to improve their
understanding of a subject.
• Each member of a team is responsible not only for
learning what is taught but also for helping teammates
learning,thus creating and atmosphere of achivement.

Inside-Outside Circle
• This is a cooperative
learning strategy in which
students form two
concentric circles and
take turns on rotation to
face new partners to
answer or discuss the
teacher’s questions. This
method can be used to
gather variety of
information, generate
new ideas and solve
problems.
Rally Table
• Rally Table is another
process of Cooperative
Learning.
• In this process, the class
or the students are
divided into groups.
• One topic is given and
passed to others. Just
like Musical Chair.
• This is done to encourage
group learning, team
building and cooperative
learning.
Team Game Tournament
• Students are placed
into small groups to
study and prepare for
a trivia game.
• This gives students
incentive to learn and
have some fun
learning the material.
• This is a group
exercise.
Advantages
Cooperative learning is a succesful teaching strategy in which small
teams, each with students of diffrent levels of ability, use variety of
learning activities to improve their understanding of a subject.
All group members:
-gain confidence from each other’s effort.
-all group members share a common fate.
-know that one’s performance is mutually caused by oneself and one’s
team members.
-feel proud and jointly celebrate when a group member is recognised
for achievement.
-develop positive interdepence
-contribute each others’ learning
-take responsibilities in group works.

Limitations
1. It is likely to be noisy.
2. Some teachers feel that they lose control.
3. and the whole-class feeling is lost
4. Not all the students enjoy it, since they would
prefer to be the focus of the teacher’s attention
rather than working with their peers.
5. Sometimes sts find themselves in uncongenial
groups and wish the could be somewhere else.

Inside-Outside Circle • This is a cooperative learning strategy in which students form two concentric circles and take turns on rotation to face new partners to answer or discuss the teacher’s questions. This method can be used to gather variety of information, generate new ideas and solve problems.
  • 18. Rally Table • Rally Table is another process of Cooperative Learning. • In this process, the class or the students are divided into groups. • One topic is given and passed to others. Just like Musical Chair. • This is done to encourage group learning, team building and cooperative learning.
  • 19. Team Game Tournament • Students are placed into small groups to study and prepare for a trivia game. • This gives students incentive to learn and have some fun learning the material. • This is a group exercise.

Advantages Cooperative learning is a succesful teaching strategy in which small teams, each with students of diffrent levels of ability, use variety of learning activities to improve their understanding of a subject.   • 21. Limitations 1. It is likely to be noisy. 2. Some teachers feel that they lose control. 3. and the whole-class feeling is lost 4. Not all the students enjoy it, since they would prefer to be the focus of the teacher’s attention rather than working with their peers. 5.
