Tata Motors Ltd. is a leading Automobile company manufacturer of passenger vehicle, LCV, HCV, SCV
Role:
 Spearheading efforts as Project Support Engineer and working on Plan and develop new prototypes
of automobiles, mainly SCV and Electric vehicles.
 Presently working on SCV vehicles and Electric vehicles development for domestic market as well
export market.
 We plan product development according to DID and DDP and prepare checklist according to that
for further proto development and implementations to complete vehicle development on time.
 Cost estimation of new vehicle, includes costing of proprietary part, Parts manufactured by vendors
and in house fabricated or machined components.
 Coordinate with design department, regarding design issues for making the manufacturing process
of parts easier at production level, and finalization of design to freeze the product specification.
 Planning for Assembly of vehicles after detailed study of the drawings and DMU review
considering all the pros and cons with the best possible alternatives as per target date.
 Coordinate on-site activities to ensure smooth work progress and conceptualized and implemented
measures for enhancing operational efficient and optimizing resource utilization.
 Accountable for preparation of planning for new vehicle part development on time. we segregate
vehicle parts according to long term and short term items and according to their classes plan to
arrange parts on time.
 After study of drawings plan to manufacture the parts in-house or procure from outsource and
regular follow up of suppliers.

2.  Coordinate with assembly, machine shop, fabrication shop, purchase, testing, stores and dispatch
department to ensure timely completion of projects.
 Coordinate with testing department. For vehicle and part validation.
 Preparation of feedback report and final inspection report after completion of all the process and
development of vehicles.
 Responsible to updation of new developed part on vehicle to improve the efficiency of vehicles, and
trouble shoot all the problems occurs during or after replacement.
 Participate in daily meetings and weekly meetings to review targets and its completion dates and
follow regular status of parts to achieve target on time.
 Schedule and monitor program activity to achieve an “on-time” result including follow-up with
external suppliers to ensure timely response to action items using SAP and PLM.
 In depth knowledge of the manufacturing and inspection process of the commodity for
development of Prototype parts.
 Sound knowledge of manufacturing process (casting, machined parts, sheet metal parts, fabricated
component).
 Good knowledge of Parts/aggregates used in Chassis & Bus body building manufacturing process
