About Paradigm IT

- Paradigm IT, A global IT enabled services company Has
been in operations since 1994.

- Paradigm IT, provides full services to clients across five
continents in Geospatial and Structural Engineering domain.

- Strong team of 200+ specialists includes
geographical, photogrammetry, LiDAR, remote
sensing, civil/structural engineers, CAD specialists and

About Paradigm IT (Contd.)
Management Team (Geospatial Division)
       Ravi George, Founder, Managing Director & Chairman
          Ravi has over 35 years of experience in India and overseas in civil and structural design,
          project management and construction. He is a member of the Institution of Structural
          Engineers, and the UK and American Society of Civil Engineers. Ravi has done M Tech in
          Structural Engineering from IIT, Madras in 1973.



       Tom Vansteelandt, Technical Director (GIS)
          Master (1991) in Structural Engineering from HoGent, Ghent, Belgium. In 1995 Tom
          became the Managing Director of Vansteelandt BVBA (Belgium) – a company
          specializing in advanced survey and GIS services. He was instrumental in starting the
          GIS/Geographical department at Paradigm in 1997 and has been contributing to the
          department ever since.



       Ravindra Kumar, Director (Geospatial)
           Ravindra has over 20 years experience in the field of GIS / Remote Sensing and
           Cartography. Ravindra has earlier worked with Bihar Remote Sensing Application
           Center as a Scientist. He has done M Sc (Geography) from Jabalpur University in 1986.
           Ravindra currently heads geospatial division and steer business expansion in geospatial
           vertical at Paradigm.

Mobile Mapping of Major Cities in Belgium
Client: A global leader in surveying and engineering

Objective:
To produce high accuracy 3d mapping of Road features, Buildings, Street lights, Trees,
Manholes, Sign Boards, etc.


Key Activities :
• Pre-processing of the data received.
• Dividing the zone according to the boundary.
• Digitizing the Buildings, Roads, Street lights,
  Manholes, Other Street objects using Visat Station.
• Conversion of Visat files to CAD file and combining of
  digitized file with House Number/Street name file.



Benefits :
• Gives general map with information that is useful for different utilities, for example
useful for gas company, electrical company etc.
• Can produce extremely accurate, pervasive, current, accessible, readily analyzed, and
readily visualized 3D street-level data.
LiDAR Data Processing of European Cities
Client: A global leader in surveying and engineering solutions

Objective:
To provide accurate model & map for transmission lines, allowing utility to measure the shape
of the ground below the transmission line, the position of the towers and poles, the sag on
the wires, and the up-growth of any vegetation incursions or other possibly illegal incursions
into the right of way.

Key Activities :
• Man made and geographical features are digitized
  using LiDAR data in flip7 software. Ortho images were
  sent by the client for identification of features.
• Digitized wires are used to prepare input files which
  is used by the client to prepare sag value of wires
  which is due to temperature, wind and self weight.
• Final Microstation files which contains LP,GP and
  cadaster in the sheet(GBLEV).

Benefits :
• LiDAR technology has demonstrated that speed, high resolution and accuracy are
benefits that can be used for transmission power line assessment
• LiDAR is an effective tool that dramatically improves the efficiency of the current
workflow used by power line companies.
GIS Conversion of Portugal Municipalities
Client: A global leader in GIS services

Objective:
•Digitization of Parcels, Sub-Parcels Buildings, Hydrography, Section social area, Parcel social
area and all divisions within the map.
•Capturing the Parcel, Sub-parcel, Section, Social Area Identifiers and all Landmarks

Key Activities :
• Geo-reference the scaned paper maps with reference
  of roads and GCP’s.
• Digitise the extent of the parcels from scaned maps
  with high degree of accuracy and interpretation.
• Topology error checking and creation of digitized
  layers into polygon.
• Identifiers,landmarks,names as text.
• Edgematch with adjacent sections and also adjacent
  municipalities.

Benefits :
• Inventorization of the agricultural parcels which allows the geographic referencing of
the property and its quantitative characterization.
• It helps to identify the changes of the parcels from time to time.
Photogrammetric Mapping of Portugal
Client: A global leader in geospatial services


Objective:
• To map all features inside and around the Airport area using Photogrammetry technology.
• To create 1m contour.


Key Activities :
• Captured the extent of the parcels , roads, poles ,
  vegetation, water features from aerial images in
  closed polygon with high degree of accuracy and
  interpretation
• Marked the height of all constructions, vegetation,
  poles inside and around Airport zone.
• Coded and multicoded the layer
• Created 1m contour using Altimetry data
Benefits :
• Provided the height of all features inside and around the Airport Zone, which helps in
flight management.
• Allowed the user to get a graphic display of all features inside and around Airport zone
• Resulted in an improved and more consistent accurate mapping data for location land
properties
DTM Creation for European Cities
Client: A global leader in land based solutions

Objective:
• Main Goal is to generate a Digital Terrain Model.
• To capture all Hydrography, Tracks, Breakline.
• To create a Grid of 10m interval

Key Activities :
• Capturing the aerial images with high degree of
  accuracy .
• Capturing all Breakline ,Water data’s
  (river,waterline,ditchs, Lakes etc.),Tracks , Bridges
  and Viaducts
• Generating Grid of 10m Interval using the Altimetry
  data.
• Matching the Grid points with the profile points
  provided by the client.

•It allows users to create a terrain surface model , which help in identification of areas
prone to flooding .
•Results in an improved and more consistent accurate mapping in identifying water
catchment area.
GIS Conversion & Cartography
Client: A global leader in GIS services

Objective:
• To convert Mathematical Numerical Topography (MNT-3D) data to Mathematical Numerical
  Cartography (MNC-2D)
• To pattern slopes, hatch and placing text, annotation for contours, vegetation cell etc.


Key Activities :
• Created Spot text, Placed annotation for contour,
  Pattered Altimetry features using the MNT data.
• Converted 3D to 2D, Line string Building data to shape
• Provided hatch , pattern, filled polygon,Placed cell
  for all vegetation data, etc .

Topographical Survey of Telecom Towers

Objective:
• To collect ground data for the telecom towers
• Creating drawing file for each tower.


Key Activities :
• Installing Total Station at each tower location
• Collecting ground information (x, y and z) of plot
  boundary, tower location, guard room etc. using Total
  Station and GPS
• Converting ground collected information to Dwg
• Creating drawing file of the entire tower location
  with x, y and z information

Ground Verification and GIS Data Collection

• To convert collected data into softcopy format
• To create GIS files as per data model

Mobile Mapping of Major Cities in Belgium Client: A global leader in surveying and engineering Objective: To produce high accuracy 3d mapping of Road features, Buildings, Street lights, Trees, Manholes, Sign Boards, etc. Key Activities : • Pre-processing of the data received. • Dividing the zone according to the boundary. • Digitizing the Buildings, Roads, Street lights, Manholes, Other Street objects using Visat Station. • Conversion of Visat files to CAD file and combining of digitized file with House Number/Street name file. Benefits : • Gives general map with information that is useful for different utilities, for example useful for gas company, electrical company etc. • Can produce extremely accurate, pervasive, current, accessible, readily analyzed, and readily visualized 3D street-level data.

LiDAR Data Processing of European Cities Client: A global leader in surveying and engineering solutions Objective: To provide accurate model & map for transmission lines, allowing utility to measure the shape of the ground below the transmission line, the position of the towers and poles, the sag on the wires, and the up-growth of any vegetation incursions or other possibly illegal incursions into the right of way. Key Activities : • Man made and geographical features are digitized using LiDAR data in flip7 software. Ortho images were sent by the client for identification of features. • Digitized wires are used to prepare input files which is used by the client to prepare sag value of wires which is due to temperature, wind and self weight. • Final Microstation files which contains LP,GP and cadaster in the sheet(GBLEV). Benefits : • LiDAR technology has demonstrated that speed, high resolution and accuracy are benefits that can be used for transmission power line assessment • LiDAR is an effective tool that dramatically improves the efficiency of the current workflow used by power line companies.
