Acerca de
My broad research interests include social informatics, scholarly communication, bibliometrics, scientometrics, digital humanities, big data, information architecture, web programming, and web design. My current academic work involves exploring the theories, frameworks, and methods used to examine both the management of social relationships in social network sites and the effects of social network site (SNS) use as it pertains to scholarly communication. I'm particularly interested in using Erving Goffman's impression management and frame analysis concepts as a lens from which I examine scholarly activity in computer-mediated environments.
