3. WHAT IS E-COMMERCE?
The Online Shopping System (OSS) is intended to
provide a complete solution to the vendor as well as
the customers through a single gate way using the
internet technologies.

6. LOGIN MODULE
1.1 Login:
Products can be viewed after registering as
customers or as guest user too. When logged in as
guest user and at the time of clicking add to cart
button. The system will prompt the guest user to
create an account for adding the product to his
respective cart.
Login through Facebook, Twitter, Gmail & Blogger
etc all social media sites are also available.

8. CART MODULE
Products moved to Cart can be viewed in the cart
and also be removed from the cart.
Products from the Cart move to Checkout page for
making the payment.
9. CHECK OUT MODULE
Checkout page displays the product details like Image,
Product Name, Model, Quantity, Unit Price, and Total.
Quantity can be added in this page if required more than
one.
Product can be removed in this page; if the customer
wants remove few products.
Products are shown along with the weight for facilitating
the shipment process.
Customer has the option to apply Voucher codes or
Coupons to avail the discount.
Estimation Shipping & Taxes options are available if the
shipping is paid.
At the end the customer can go back and continue
shopping leaving the checkout page as it is with
previous product listing.
11. ORDER CONFIRMATION MODULE
Order confirmation page is where the double
confirmation on product to get shipped from the
vendor to the customer billing address. On clicking
the Confirm button the invoice gets triggered to the
customer’s registered email ID and a notification
email about the confirmed order to the Admin and
Super Admin’s registered email ID.
A Successful message pops after the order
confirmation on the screen to ensure that the
product has reached the Vendor for the process.
At the end of all the process, there is a button
Continue to get the customer back to shopping.
12. PRODUCT RETURN MODULE
This module functions from the My Account page of
each customer.
Product purchased will get listed under the Returns
menu; customer checks the product and fills the
reason for return and then ships the product. The
vendor will get intimation on the return of the
product in prior to the product reaches the store.
14. DASH BOARD VIEW MODULE
This module comprises of the entire Sales history of
the vendor periodically. Overview under the
dashboard lists the total sales, Total Orders,
Cancelled Orders, No. of Customers, Awaiting
process etc.
Statistical view of the sales data can be viewed by
the Admin.
15. CATALOG MODULE
Product Name (Categories)
Products upload – Products can be imported by CSV files.
Reviews submitted by the customer in the front-end gets listed
for Admin approval and on-approval it is displayed in the front-
end for the other customers view.
Information menus include About Us, Delivery Information,
Privacy Policy, and Terms & Conditions.
Manufacturers - this menu helps icon or logo of the
manufacture to get list on the front-end for branding the
product.
Attributes – if a customer wanted to compare monitor size of
a shirt with another product with a shirt, we could create an
attribute for the product. Under "Attribute" we would call it
"shirt size"; Attributes are the specifications that are compared
between products in the Product Comparison.
16. SALES MODULE
This module is where the notification gets triggered
from the front-end on confirming the order. Admin
on seeing the notification triggered; works on the
order processing. On the change of Order status to
process, Shipped, Reversal, complete or Refunded
a notification will trigger from the Admin end to the
customer.
17. SYSTEM MANAGEMENT MODULE
Design - Manages the Banners & Layouts of the
Front-end.
Users - Customers can be grouped internally for
sending out individual Voucher code based on the
business volume.
Localization - This menu is used to map currencies,
Stock status, taxes, zones etc.
Returns – Product return notification will be viewed
here by the Admin.
Backup/Restore – This menu is mandatory to save
all the data loaded to the system so that retrieval is
easier in case of any malfunction.
18. REPORT AND STATICS MODULE
Under Sales -Orders, Sales, Tax, Shipping,
Coupons & Returns reporting are as possible.
Under Products – Viewed, Purchased and Out of
Stock Report.
Under Customers – Total no. of customers & Orders
