In second grade, we see students
working, teachers grading, and parents helping.
In second grade, we hear kids laughing and
teachers talking.
In second grade, we smell brine shrimp
swimming in their tanks – yuck!
In second grade, we taste the chocolate from
the Valentine’s Day chocolate fountain – yum!
In second grade, we feel happy!

The word wall teaches us to be more
careful in our writing.
Crayons dance across our papers as
we become artists.
The clock waves and says “good-
bye” to us as we leave each day.

with mean monkeys
