Special Guidance on APA formatting in Discussion PostsAPA formatting is required in
discussion posts with the following two exceptions (due to limitations with the text editor
in LIVE): double line space and indent 1/2 inch from the left margin. Discussion posts will
NOT be evaluated on those two formatting requirements. All other APA formatting
guidelines should be followed. For example, in-text citations must be formatted with the
appropriate information and in the correct sequence (Author, year), reference list entries
must include all appropriate information following guidelines for capitalization, italics, and
be in the correct sequence. Refer to the APA Publication Manual 7th ed. for each source
type’s specific requirements.please respond to student discussion post listed below:The
main characteristics of burnout, a relatively uncommon kind of stress condition, are
emotional tiredness, a lack of compassion for victims, and a diminished feeling of personal
achievement. Healthcare workers are particularly prone to emotional tiredness due to the
nature of their employment. Stress and burnout among medical staff members have come to
light as a result of recent medical blunders and poor patient safety results. The average
percentage of burned-out nurses (Dall’Ora et al., 2020).Nurses are especially prone to
burnout because of the nature and role overload of their profession. In the healthcare
sector, workplace burnout may cause employee absenteeism and turnover, both of which
are detrimental to patient care. Being a nurse has always been a rewarding and happy
profession. However, some people could experience stress due to the workload. The topic
I’ve chosen to write about is how stress management strategies might help prevent nursing
burnout. I chose this topic because, although being a nurse can be difficult, the right stress
reduction techniques can help. To identify ways to lessen stress among nurses, the main
causes of stress must be discovered, and efficient control measures must be developed. By
doing this, the level of nursing care offered by the healthcare system will be raised (Al Hadid
et al., 2022).Hence, my PICOT question is: In health care workers such as nurses who are
experiencing burnout (P), Does the use of stress control measures (I), compared to no
measures at all (C), reduce stress levels and burnout cases (O) over a six-month period (T)?I
must use these two excellent sites in order to get the papers I require for the literature
review. The Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature and MEDLINE
(through PubMed or Ovid) (CINAHL).Some of the articles that I have found that will be
beneficial to my PICOT study includes;A qualitative study on Factors contributing to
burnout among nurses at a district hospital in Namibia: A qualitative perspective of nurses
by Ashipala, Daniel Opotamutale; and Nghole, Tuyenikelao Muudikange (2022) source :

study aimed at finding out the factors that contribute to burnout. This article will be
important in my PICOT study because we must explore the factors that contribute to and
affect nurses while looking out for the measures to reduce burnout.Another article I’m
looking to explore in my study is; The use of personal, organizational, and coping resources
in the prevention of staff nurse burnout: a test of a model by Rich VL . Source: UNIVERSITY
OF PITTSBURGH 2018; PH.D. 218 p-218 p. (1p)This study integrated Roy’s adaption model,
Lazarus and Folkman’s Stress and Coping Model, and Maddi and Kobasa’s Personality
Hardiness Model to test coping models of burnout prevention.Another article I find
interesting and relevant in my study; Mindful meditation: healing burnout in critical care
nursing by Davies WR from Holistic Nursing Practice (HOLISTIC NURS PRACT),
Jan/Feb2019; 22(1): 32-36. (5p)A purpose of this study is to identify those factors that
contribute to burnout, and offer a solution to a continuing problem for nurses

Refer to the APA Publication Manual 7th ed. for each source type’s specific requirements.please respond to student discussion post listed below:The main characteristics of burnout, a relatively uncommon kind of stress condition, are emotional tiredness, a lack of compassion for victims, and a diminished feeling of personal achievement. Healthcare workers are particularly prone to emotional tiredness due to the nature of their employment. Stress and burnout among medical staff members have come to light as a result of recent medical blunders and poor patient safety results. The average percentage of burned-out nurses (Dall’Ora et al., 2020).Nurses are especially prone to burnout because of the nature and role overload of their profession. In the healthcare sector, workplace burnout may cause employee absenteeism and turnover, both of which are detrimental to patient care. Being a nurse has always been a rewarding and happy profession. However, some people could experience stress due to the workload. The topic I’ve chosen to write about is how stress management strategies might help prevent nursing burnout. I chose this topic because, although being a nurse can be difficult, the right stress reduction techniques can help. To identify ways to lessen stress among nurses, the main causes of stress must be discovered, and efficient control measures must be developed. By doing this, the level of nursing care offered by the healthcare system will be raised (Al Hadid et al., 2022).Hence, my PICOT question is: In health care workers such as nurses who are experiencing burnout (P), Does the use of stress control measures (I), compared to no measures at all (C), reduce stress levels and burnout cases (O) over a six-month period (T)?I must use these two excellent sites in order to get the papers I require for the literature review. This article will be important in my PICOT study because we must explore the factors that contribute to and affect nurses while looking out for the measures to reduce burnout.Another article I’m looking to explore in my study is; The use of personal, organizational, and coping resources in the prevention of staff nurse burnout: a test of a model by Rich VL .
