Ireland, the green island in the west
end of Europe, is one of its beginnings
or ends. Ireland like many countries,
celebrates a couple of festivals and
traditions once a year ,that are
celebrated by all people in the island
and they generate a big number of
visitors.

Saint Patrick’s Day:
It´s the most important day in
Ireland, all people wear green
clothes and they celebrate a lot
the day of the boss in Ireland.
Thousands of visitors go to the
island to celebrate it with the local
inhabitants, it’s the biggest
national party.
MAY’S PARTY
- It’s a popular party, It´s
been celebrated from the
beginning of Christianity to
nowadays. It is celebrated
with dances and recollection
of flowers. The bushes are
decorated with some flowers
and eggs, which are symbols
of life.
SAMHAIN
It was the Celts´ New Year.
This festival began when
the Celts in Ireland adored
Samhain the lord of the
dead. Nowadays it’s called
Halloween and it is
celebrated in many
countries.
IRISH WEDDING TRADITIONS
A typical Irish traditional wedding is a beatiful ceremony to see or
take part in. From the stunning attire of both the bride and groom,
the latest would be dressed in a kilt made from the tartan of his
clan. The bride would be dressed as it is done today , in a white
dress to symbolize her purity.
IRISH DEATH TRADITIONS AND CUSTOMS
Although death is a sad occasion, a traditional wake is
seldom solemn. Friends and family like gather and
share memories and funny stories about the deceased.
Food and drink is always present and although the
church tried to ban alcohol from wakes it was
unsuccessful.

they used to play Irish Hurling or Gaelic

It is played between two teams of 15 players on

the field and goals, the number of players, and much
