I have been an elementary school teacher for over 20 years. I taught primary for 12 years and then taught in the intermediate grades for the next decade. Over the past 4 years I have increasingly been responsible for the curriculum and learning needs of my district. I also teach the UBC West Kootenay Teacher Education Program -Math Methods Course (MAED 320) My area of strength is numeracy. I give workshops in teacher and student math anxiety. I specialize in helping teachers and administrators understand the reasons for the math curriculum changes and introduce them to the lesson format and assessment techniques now asked for.
