9. Concerned Ahmadis have met with police commissioner and other officials to present them with the list and demand protection.
10. “Fatwas declaring us Wajibulqatal [fit to be killed] have been issued in the past but this is a direct threat. The targeted people are in dire danger,” said Saleem-ud-din, an Ahmadi spokesperson.
11. He said security forces need to do more to help threatened minorities.
12. “Our guards captured a suicide attacker in April outside a worship place in Lahore but police later freed him due to political pressure from hardliners,” he said adding that three Ahmadi businessmen were murdered in Faisalabad last year.
13. The Asian Human Rights Commission also urged the government to prevent more Ahmadi killings in a statement on June 11.
