According to Wikipedia Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of
affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's "natural" or
un-paid ("organic") search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the
search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list,
the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users. SEO may target
different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video
search, academic search,[1] news search and industry-specific vertical
search engines.
As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what
people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines
and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimizing a
website may involve editing its content, HTML and associated coding to both
increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing
activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks,
or inbound links, is another SEO tactic.
The plural of the abbreviation SEO can also refer to "search engine optimizers",
those who provide SEO services.

• Tread carefully use keywords but sparingly.

• Off Page Seo is about building the authority of
your site in the eyes of Google.
• The more authority you have, the easier it is
to rank (generally speaking), Cnn.com could
rank for just about anything Wikipedia does.
• Two Types of Off Page Seo:
– Social Signals.
– Backlinks.

• The more genuine social signals you can get
the better.
• They show increasing correlation with ranking.
• The easiest way is to keep sharing content via
the main social media sites.
• Also don’t be afraid to ask for likes, retweets,
repins, etc.
• Do the same for others and many will

with a free account at http://ahrefs.com
which we will look at shortly.
• If you don’t have at least some social signals
that looks strange to Google.

• Any other site that links back to your site in
any way (preferably with a keyword in the
clickable part of the link).
• Basic example of a backlink is your Facebook
business page about box (see below):

• Lost of tools to check competitor backlinks.
• I like http://ahrefs.com
• No tool is ever 100% accurate, nor will they
show you all the links.
• However you will get a picture of what they
are doing and what their better links are.

Some Ways To Get Backlinks
• Add your site address to all your social media profiles.
• Post all of your web pages through your social media accounts
(not all at once though).
• Join industry sites where you can make a profile and add your
url.
• You can trade links with other sites (I would only do with this
really high quality sites and just a few).
• You can submit your site to quality web directories like
Hotfrog and Truelocal.
• You can use articles and press releases to get links.
• There are many others one secret one is…

Secret Backlink Method
• Parasite marketing pages (this is not Blackhat if done
properly).
• Some of the best parasite sites are:
– Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn Pages, Twitter, Blogger,
Tumblr and many more.

• Basically you create a complete profile and add some
quality content on each.
• Each then links back to your site (it’s a great quality link
because the parasite has high Google authority).
• For extra juice create links to these and they might
even rank high in Google. Even if they don’t, the
parasite links becomes more powerful!

• Still crucial to long-term stable rankings.
• Easier to trigger Google penalties now for
unnatural linking (so tread carefully).
• Aim for fewer backlinks that are higher quality.
• Use your keywords in links and mix in related
keywords. But also use your business name,
plain url’s and general words.

– 20% using related keywords like fix hot water

– 30% using terms like click here, site, visit us, etc.

Off Page Seo • Off Page Seo is about building the authority of your site in the eyes of Google. • The more authority you have, the easier it is to rank (generally speaking), Cnn.com could rank for just about anything Wikipedia does. • Two Types of Off Page Seo: – Social Signals. – Backlinks. Social Signals • The more genuine social signals you can get the better. • They show increasing correlation with ranking. • The easiest way is to keep sharing content via the main social media sites. • Also don’t be afraid to ask for likes, retweets, repins, etc. • Do the same for others and many will reciprocate. Find Your Competitor Backlinks • Lost of tools to check competitor backlinks. • I like http://ahrefs.com • No tool is ever 100% accurate, nor will they show you all the links. • However you will get a picture of what they are doing and what their better links are. Some Ways To Get Backlinks • Add your site address to all your social media profiles. • Post all of your web pages through your social media accounts (not all at once though). • Join industry sites where you can make a profile and add your url. • You can trade links with other sites (I would only do with this really high quality sites and just a few). • You can submit your site to quality web directories like Hotfrog and Truelocal. • You can use articles and press releases to get links. • There are many others one secret one is… Copyright SeoMelbourne1.com and William Siebler 37

Secret Backlink Method • Parasite marketing pages (this is not Blackhat if done properly). • Some of the best parasite sites are: – Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn Pages, Twitter, Blogger, Tumblr and many more. • Basically you create a complete profile and add some quality content on each. • Each then links back to your site (it’s a great quality link because the parasite has high Google authority). • For extra juice create links to these and they might even rank high in Google.
