• Microsoft Teams is the chat-based workspace in Office 365.
It's the hub for:
• Team chats

15. What comes with Microsoft Teams?
• A SharePoint Online Site collection
• An Office 365 Group
• A plan in Planner

• Text
• Support Markdown syntax

• With the audio/video meetings you have the option to
share your screen.

• The documents shared in Microsoft Teams are stored in a
Microsoft SharePoint Online document library
• When you add a document in a conversation, you have
the option to:
• Share a document from the SharePoint site
• Share a document from your OneDrive For Business
• Upload a document (the document is uploaded to the SharePoint Online
Document library)
Note: The documents shared in a private conversation are
stored in OneDrive For Business.
20. File Sharing
• Version control is activated on the SharePoint Online
Document Library
• Configured to keep 500 major versions.
• The document is open in Office Online by default
• You have the option to open in Word or to download

• A channel helps organize the team’s conversations, content
and tools around a specific topic.
• Channels can be organized by
• topic (events)
• discipline (design)
• project (launch)
• fun stuff
• Tabs, connectors and bots can be added to Channels

SharePoint Document library

• You can plan a meeting for your team
• An Exchange online mailbox is required

33. Installing the client
• The Team App is not part of Office Online
• You need to download it to install

• Network administrator can use tools like System Center
Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Casper Suite (MacOS)
to install the client
• The updates are installed automatically
35. Email to a team
• When sending an email to the team
email address, the body will appear
as a discussion in the channel
• A reply to the discussion will not send a reply to
the person who sent the email.
• A folder (Email Messages) will be
created in the SharePoint Document
library
• The email will be stored as an *.eml document
in the folder.

SharePoint Online
• Required to share documents in Teams
OneDrive Entreprise
• Required to share documents in conversation
Exchange Online Mailbox
• Required for team meetings
46. Enable Team
Microsoft Teams is enabled by default at
the Tenant level (can be disabled)
You can disable team for specific users
If you want to disable for a group of users
it’s better to use PowerShell
47. Limits
• A team can have a maximum of 10 owners (will be 100)
• A user can create a maximum of 250 Teams
• A global administrator can create an unlimited number of
teams
• An Owner can add a maximum of 999 members to a team
• A private conversation can have a maximum of 20
members
• An audio meeting can have a maximum of 80 attendees.
• A tenant can have a maximum of 500 000 teams
48. Deleted message retention
Microsoft Teams retains deleted messages for at least 7 days
and at most 30 days before messages are permanently
deleted

Right now you can add a new tab for Planner in Teams. However, you are not afforded all the capabilities of Planner in this tab. Its really "Planner Lite." Here are some items you cannot do with Planner in Teams: 1) If you create a Planner in Teams, it will not be shown in Planner itself! 2) you can go to the group (in web outlook) wich is automatically created for the team and click there on planner and it will take you to the planner for the new group, which then cannot be displayed at teams, but the team…
