2. History
Mudra communication was founded on 25th March 1980, and
established in Ahmedabad. At the time of creation, the aim was to
become one of the top 5 agency.
To do so, Mudra was helping business with big ambition explode their
brands.
3. Founder
Mr. A. G. Krishnamurthy. He was
graduated from Andhra
University with a B.A in History.
Krishnamurthy started his career at
Calico Mills in 1968. He moved to
Shilpi Advertising, Calico's ad agency
as an Account Executive in 1972.
In 1976, he joined Reliance Industries, as Advertising Manager. He moved
out of Reliance to set up Mudra Communications in 1980 from which he
retired in March, 2003.
He established Mudra Institute of Communication (Ahmedabad) in March
1991 in order to provide workers to the expanding advertising industry in
India.
He currently runs his own consultancy "AGK Brand Consulting".
4. Current situation
Since 2011, MUDRA Communication is operating under Omnicom
Group and is rebranded as DDB Mudra group and merged with DDB
Worldwide.
It is India's second largest advertising agency and also started Mudra
Institute of Communications in Ahmedabad.

An Economics graduate from Loyola Chennai, Madhukar
studied Management at XLRI Jamshedpur.
He has more than three decades of experience in Advertising
and Marketing Communications and has spent close to twenty
years in Mudra, in two separate stints.

Under his leadership over the last five years, Mudra transformed
itself from an Advertising Agency into one of India’s leading
Integrated Marketing Communications Groups.
He was largely instrumental in Omnicom acquiring a majority stake
and in steering the Group’s integration into DDB Worldwide as DDB
Mudra Group.
