Discussion today;s on the elements of Eeman
Before proceeding it is important we have proper
mind set
As this discussion will cover intangible things
which are solely dependent on the belief of
Tawheed, it is prudent that we prepare ourselves
to accept this information, specially how to deal
with these abstract matters, matters which are out
of our sight. If one does not believe in Allah then
belief in these are solely disputable concepts, not
facts. Lets us clear our doubt in light of what Allah
& His Prophet (saw) has to say about them and
what are the prescribed actions for us to address
them.

Surah al-Baqarah 2, Ayat 177

Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the
west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah, the
Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth,
in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler,
those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who]
establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise
when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and
hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true,
and it is those who are the righteous.

Surah Al-Baqarah 2, Ayat 1 – 6

This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those
conscious of Allah – Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and
spend out of what We have provided for them, And who believe in
what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was
revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].
Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who
are the successful. Indeed, those who disbelieve – it is all the same
for them whether you warn them or do not warn them – they will not
believe.
Surah Al-Imran 3, Ayat 7

It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it
are verses [that are] precise – they are the foundation of the
Book – and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is
deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is
unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to
them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But
those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our
Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.
On the authority of Al-Numan bin Basheer, who said : I heard the messenger of
Allah say :: "That which is lawful is plain and that which is unlawful is plain and
between the two of them are doubtful matters about which not many people
know. Thus he who avoids doubtful matters clears himself in regard to his
religion and his honor, but he who falls into doubtful matters falls into that
which is unlawful, like the shepherd who pastures around a sanctuary, all but
grazing therein. Truly every king has a sanctuary, and truly Allah's sanctuary is
His prohibitions. Truly in the body there is a morsel of flesh which, if it be
whole, all the body is whole and which, if it be diseased, all of it is diseased.
Truly it is the heart." [Bukhari & Muslim]
On the authority of Al-Hasan bin Ali, the grandson of the messenger of Allah,
who said :: I memorized from the messenger of Allah his saying : "Leave that
which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt." [Tirmidhi
& Nasaee]
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said : The messenger of Allah said ::
"Part of someone's being a good Muslim is his leaving alone that which does not
concern him." [Tirmidhi]
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said :: I heard the messenger of Allah
say :: "What I have forbidden to you, avoid; what I have ordered you [to do],
do as much of it as you can. It was only their excessive questioning and their
disagreeing with their prophets that destroyed those who were before you."
[Bukhari & Muslim]
Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Allah has
forbidden for you,
     (1) to be undutiful to your mothers,
     (2) to bury your daughters alive,
     (3) to not to pay the rights of the others (e.g. charity, etc.) and
     (4) to beg of men (begging).

And Allah has hated for you
     (1) vain, useless talk, or that you talk too much about others,
     (2) to ask too many questions, (in disputed religious matters) and
     (3) to waste the wealth (by extravagance).

                                          Sahih Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 591

Sahih Muslim Book 001, Number 0001:
One day we were sitting in the company of Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) when there appeared before
us a man dressed in pure white clothes, his hair extraordinarily black. There were no signs of travel
on him. None amongst us recognized him.

At last he sat with the Apostle (peace be upon him) He knelt before him placed his palms on his thighs
and said: Muhammad, inform me about al-Islam.

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Al-Islam implies that you testify
that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and you
establish prayer, pay Zakat, observe the fast of Ramadan, and perform pilgrimage to
the (House) if you are solvent enough (to bear the expense of) the journey.

He (the inquirer) said: You have told the truth.

He (Umar ibn al-Khattab) said: It amazed us that he would put the question and then
he would himself verify the truth.

He (the inquirer) said: Inform me about Iman (faith).

He (the Holy Prophet) replied: That you affirm your faith in Allah, in His angels, in His
Books, in His Apostles, in the Day of Judgment, and you affirm your faith in the Divine
Decree about good and evil.

He (the inquirer) said: You have told the truth.

He (the inquirer) again said: Inform me about al-Ihsan (performance of good
deeds).

He (the Holy Prophet) said: That you worship Allah as if you are seeing Him, for
though you don't see Him, He, verily, sees you.

Two Types of Rubuubiyyah

General Rubuubiyyah :: This is to all creation. No object
exists without Allah being its Rabb. This the case even if they
deny it. For example, even if the Athiest deny, Allah is his/her
  Creator

Specific Rubuubiyyah :: When you acknowledge Allah,
then Allah has a special relationship with you. This is
Rubuubiyyah that Allah shows to His servants. For example,
as parent you are more concerned about your own child than a
general concern about your neighbors child as a human being
Sahih International: Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and
earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great]
ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and
what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life
thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein
every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and
the clouds controlled between the heaven and the earth are signs for
a people who use reason. [al Baqarah :: 002.164 ]
Sahih International: And [mention] when your Lord took from the
children of Adam – from their loins – their descendants and made
them testify of themselves, [saying to them], "Am I not your Lord?"
They said, "Yes, we have testified." [This] – lest you should say on
the day of Resurrection, "Indeed, we were of this unaware."
[ al-A’raf 7.172 ]
Rubuubiyah alone is not sufficient

If a Muslim says I believe in Allah and that’s
it, then that person is as equal to Shaytan
(Iblis) in the belief and it is incomplete

Shaytan, even after believing Allah, He
called him Kafer.

To be a Muslim, he/she must also believe in
Allah’s Uloohiyyah
Sahih International: [The hypocrites are] like the example of
Satan when he says to man, "Disbelieve." But when he disbelieves,
he says, "Indeed, I am disassociated from you. Indeed, I fear Allah,
Lord of the worlds.“ [ Al-Hashr 059.016 ]

Sahih International: So the outcome for both of them is that they
will be in the Fire, abiding eternally therein. And that is the
recompense of the wrong-doers. [ Al-Hashr 059.017 ]

those before you that if you should associate [anything] with
Allah, your work would surely become worthless, and you would

Sahih International :: It is not for the Prophet and those who have
believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were
relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are companions of
Hellfire. And the request of forgiveness of Abraham for his father was
only because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became
apparent to Abraham that his father was an enemy to Allah, he
disassociated himself from him. Indeed was Abraham compassionate
and patient. And Allah would not let a people stray after He has guided
them until He makes clear to them what they should avoid. Indeed,
Allah is Knowing of all things. [ at Taubah :: 009.113 - 115 ]

Status of Prophet Muhammad
Sahih International: They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its
arrival? Say, "Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except
Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except
unexpectedly." They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Say, "Its knowledge is only
with Allah, but most of the people do not know. "I hold not for myself [the power of]
benefit or harm, except what Allah has willed. And if I knew the unseen, I could have
acquired much wealth, and no harm would have touched me. I am not except a
warner and a bringer of good tidings to a people who believe." [ alAraf :: 007.187 -
  188 ]
Sahih International: Not for you, [O Muhammad, but for Allah], is the decision
whether He should [cut them down] or forgive them or punish them, for indeed, they
  are wrongdoers. [ AlImran :: 003.128 ]

It is the second pillar of Eeman.

Sahih International: The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his
Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and
His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His
messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our
Lord, and to You is the [final] destination." [ Surah al-Baqarah 2, Ayat 285 ]

Sahih International: Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or
the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the
angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to
relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing
slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise
when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during
battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous. [
Surah al-Baqarah 2, Ayat 177 ]

Sahih International: Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and His messengers
and Gabriel and Michael – then indeed, Allah is an enemy to the disbelievers. [ Surah
al-Baqarah 2, Ayat 98 ]
Sahih International: [All] praise is [due] to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth,
[who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in
creation what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent. [ Surah Fatir 35, Ayat
1]
Sahih International: And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah or
says, "It has been inspired to me," while nothing has been inspired to him, and one who
says, "I will reveal [something] like what Allah revealed." And if you could but see when
the wrongdoers are in the overwhelming pangs of death while the angels extend their
hands, [saying], "Discharge your souls! Today you will be awarded the punishment of
[extreme] humiliation for what you used to say against Allah other than the truth and
[that] you were, toward His verses, being arrogant." [ Surah al-An’am 6, Ayat 93 ]
Sahih International: Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter name the angels
female names, And they have thereof no knowledge. They follow not except
assumption, and indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all. [ Surah an-Najm
53, Ayat 27 - 28 ]
Aysha (R) narrated that the Prophet (saw) said, "The angels were created from light, the
jinn were created from fire. Man was created from what has been described to you." [
Muslim ]
According to Ibn Hajar, Sa'id bin al-Musayyab, "The angels are neither male nor female.
They neither eat nor drink. They do not marry nor have children."
General

 Sahih International: Indeed, those who are near your Lord are
not prevented by arrogance from His worship, and they exalt Him,
  and to Him they prostrate. [ Surah Al-A'raf 7, Ayat 206 ]

 Sahih International: They exalt [Him] night and day [and] do not
  slacken. [ Surah al-Anbiya 21, Ayat 206 ]

 Sahih International: And indeed, we are those who line up [for
  prayer]. [ Surah As-Saffat 37 , Ayat 165 ]
Specific

 Jibreel was the archangel who revealed the message of Allah
to all the Prophets and Messengers
 Meekaeel, who discharges control of vegetation and rain
 Israafeel who will blow the trumpet on the Day of
  Resurrection
 Malik the chief of the angels guarding the hellfire.
 The angels who guard the hellfire.
 The angels who guard the Paradise Jannah.
 The two angels who question the dead in their grave.
 The two angels who are on the right and the left of every
  human to write our deeds.
 The guardian angels
Specific

 Jibreel :: Archangel & Messenger

    Sahih International: [He is] the Exalted above [all] degrees, Owner of the Throne;
He places the inspiration of His command upon whom He wills of His servants to
warn of the Day of Meeting. [ Surah Ghafir 40, Ayat 15 ]

 Sahih International: He sends down the angels, with the inspiration of His
command, upon whom He wills of His servants, [telling them], "Warn that there is
no deity except Me; so fear Me." [ Surah an-Nahl 16, Ayat 2 ]

 Sahih International: The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down Upon your heart,
[O Muhammad] – that you may be of the warners – [ Surah ash-Shu'ara 26, Ayat
     193 - 194 ]
 Meeka’eel :: Vegetation & Rain
 Sahih International: Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and His
messengers and Gabriel and Michael – then indeed, Allah is an enemy to the
     disbelievers. [ Surah al-Baqarah 2, Ayat 98 ]
 According to commentary, this refers to some disbelievers during the time of the
Prophet (PBUH) who ridiculed Muslim belief. According to hadith, the Prophet
(PBUH) asked Jibril, "What is Mika'il in charge of?" He replied, "The plants and the
     rain." (At-Tabarani)
 Mika'il has assistants who follow his orders and make the clouds and winds move
according to Allah's will. In another hadith, the Prophet (PBUH) asked Jibril, "Why
do I never see Mika'il laugh?" He replied, "Mika'il has not laughed since the Fire
     was created." (Ahmad)

 Israfeel :: Trumpet of The Judgment Day
 "How can I enjoy myself when the one with the Trumpet has raised the Trumpet to
his mouth, knitted his brow and is waiting to blow?" They said, "What should we
say, Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Say: Allah is enough for us, and the best
Guardian. We have put our trust in Allah." (At-Tirmidhi)
 Angels who guard Hellfire

 Sahih International: And they will call, "O Malik, let your Lord put an end to us!"
He will say, "Indeed, you will remain." [ Surah az-Zukhruf 43, Ayat 77 ]

 Sahih International: And those who disbelieved will be driven to Hell in groups
until, when they reach it, its gates are opened and its keepers will say, “Did there
not come to you messengers from yourselves, reciting to you the verses of your
Lord and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "Yes, but
the word of punishment has come into effect upon the disbelievers. [ Surah az-
     Zumar 39, Ayat 71 ]

 Sahih International: It lets nothing remain and leaves nothing
[unburned], Blackening the skins. Over it are nineteen [angels]. And We have not
made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number
except as a trial for those who disbelieve – that those who were given the
Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and
those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that
those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah
intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and
guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And
mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity. [ Surah al-Mudaththir
 Angels who guard the Paradise
 Sahih International: But those who feared their Lord will be driven
to Paradise in groups until, when they reach it while its gates have
been opened and its keepers say, "Peace be upon you; you have
become pure; so enter it to abide eternally therein," [they will
     enter]. [ Surah az-Zumar 39, Ayat 71 ]

 Two Angels in the grave
 Sahih International: Allah keeps firm those who believe, with the
firm word, in worldly life and in the Hereafter. And Allah sends
astray the wrongdoers. And Allah does what He wills. [ Surah
     Ibrahim 14, Ayat 27 ]
 Angel of death

 He and his associate angels take the souls of living beings during their
death. Usually called Azraeel. But there is NO proof for this name.
 Sahih International: Say, "The angel of death will take you who has been
entrusted with you. Then to your Lord you will be returned." [ Surah as-
     Sajdah 32, Ayat 11 ]

 Angels who are the recorders of deeds

 Sahih International: And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, Noble
and recording; They know whatever you do. [ Surah al-Infitar 82, Ayat 10
     -12 ]
 Two Angels :: Left & Right Shoulder
 One Angel :: Records Everything
 The guardian angels

 Sahih International: For each one are successive [angels] before and
behind him who protect him by the decree of Allah. Indeed, Allah will not
change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.
And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is
not for them besides Him any patron. [ Surah Ra'd 13, Ayat 11 ]

 Angels carrying Allah’s Throne

 Sahih International: And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear
the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them]. [ Surah Al-
     Haqqah 69, Ayat 17 ]

 They neither eat nor drink
 Angels are of an enormous number
 They have Hayaa
 They fear Allah
 The things that harm people harm them
 They love the righteous and pray for them
 They pray against the wrongdoers
 Created to Worship Allah
 Sahih International: And to Allah prostrates whatever is in the heavens
and whatever is on the earth of creatures, and the angels [as well], and
     they are not arrogant. [ Surah an-Nahl 16, Ayat 49 ]

 Commits no Sin & no Free Will
 Sahih International: O you who have believed, protect yourselves and
your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are
[appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allah in what
He commands them but do what they are commanded. [ Surah at-Tahrim
     66, Ayat 6 ]

 Are of various levels
 Sahih International: And by the dawn when it breathes [That] indeed, the
Qur’an is a word *conveyed by+ a noble messenger *Who is+ possessed of
power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], Obeyed
there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. And your companion is not [at all]
     mad. [ Surah at-Takwir 81, Ayat 18 - 22 ]
 Do not have gender
 Sahih International: Or has He taken, out of what He has created, daughters and
chosen you for [having] sons? And when one of them is given good tidings of that
which he attributes to the Most Merciful in comparison, his face becomes dark,
and he suppresses grief. So is one brought up in ornaments while being during
conflict unevident [attributed to Allah]? And they have made the angels, who are
servants of the Most Merciful, females. Did they witness their creation? Their
testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned. [ Surah az-Zukhruf 43,
     Ayat 16 - 19 ]
 They have wings
 Sahih International: [All] praise is [due] to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the
earth, [who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He
increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent. [
     Surah Fatir 35, Ayat 1 ]
 They have the ability to change
 Sahih International: And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent
to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man.
She said, "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, [so leave me], if
you should be fearing of Allah." He said, "I am only the messenger of your Lord to
     give you [news of] a pure boy." [ Surah Maryam 19, Ayat 17 - 19 ]
 Never tire of Worshipping Allah
 Sahih International: They exalt [Him] night and day [and] do not slacken. [ Surah
     al-Anbiya' 21, Ayat 20 ]

 Neither eat nor drink
 Sahih International: And certainly did Our messengers come to Abraham with good
tidings; they said, "Peace." He said, "Peace," and did not delay in bringing [them] a
roasted calf. But when he saw their hands not reaching for it, he distrusted them
and felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not. We have been sent to the
     people of Lot." [ Surah Hud 11, Ayat 69 - 70 ]

 Enormous in numbers
 Sahih International: And We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels.
And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve –
that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have
believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the
believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the
disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does
Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the
soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to
     humanity. [ Surah al-Muddaththir 74, Ayat 31 ]
 Have Haya
 Aisha (Ra) reports: The Prophet (saw) was lying down in his house with his thighs
or his calves exposes. Abu Bakr asked permission to enter and was permitted
while the Prophet (saw) was in that position and he came in and spoke with him
(saw). Then, Umar asked permission to enter. He was granted permission and
came in and spoke with him (saw) while in that position. Then, Uthman asked
permission and the Prophet (saw) sat up and straightened his clothing. He was
then permitted and came in and spoke with the Prophet (sas). After he had
gone, Aisha said: Abu Bakr entered and you did not get up for him or worry about
him and Umar came in and you did not get up for him nor worry about him but
when Uthman came in, you straigtened out your clothing! The Prophet (saw)
said: "Should I not be shy of a man around whom the angels are shy?" [ Muslim ]
 Fears Allah
 Sahih International: And intercession does not benefit with Him except for one
whom He permits. [And those wait] until, when terror is removed from their
hearts, they will say [to one another], "What has your Lord said?" They will say,
"The truth." And He is the Most High, the Grand. [ Surah Saba' 34, Ayat 23 ]

 Things that harm people harm Angels
 Narrated By Jabir bin 'Abdullah : The Prophet said, "Whoever eats garlic or
onion should k eep away from our mosque or should remain in his house."
(Jabir bin 'Abdullah, in another narration said, "Once a big pot containing c
ooked vegetables was brought. On finding unpleasant smell coming from it, the
Prophet asked, 'What is in it?' He was told all the names of the vegetables that
were in it. The Prophet ordered that it should be brought near to some of his
companions who were with him. When the Prophet saw it he disliked to eat it
and said, 'Eat. (I don't eat) for I converse with those whom you don't converse
     with (i.e. the angels)." [ Bukhari ]
 Al-Bukhaari and Muslim from Jabir and other Sahaabah, Prophet (saw) said,
"Whoever eats garlic or onion, let him avoid us and our masjid, and stay in his
home. The angels are surely hurt by things that hurt the human beings.
 Loves the righteous & pray for them

 Sahih International: It is He who confers blessing upon you, and His angels
[ask Him to do so] that He may bring you out from darknesses into the
light. And ever is He, to the believers, Merciful. [ Surah al-Ahzab 33, Ayat
     43 ]

 Sahih International: The heavens almost break from above them, and the
angels exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those
on earth. Unquestionably, it is Allah who is the Forgiving, the Merciful. [
     Surah ash-Shura 42, Ayat 5 ]

 Sahih International: Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those
around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask
forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], "Our Lord, You have
encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who
have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the
punishment of Hellfire. [ Surah Ghafir 40, Ayat 7 ]
Pray against wrong doers

 Sahih International: Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are
disbelievers – upon them will be the curse of Allah and of the angels and
the people, all together, [ Surah al-Baqarah, Ayat 161 ]

 Sahih International: How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after
their belief and had witnessed that the Messenger is true and clear signs
had come to them? And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
Those – their recompense will be that upon them is the curse of Allah and
     the angels and the people, all together, [ Surah ali-Imran 3, Ayat 86 - 87 ]

 Sahih International: Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of
clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the
Scripture – those are cursed by Allah and cursed by those who curse, [
     Surah al-Baqarah 2, Ayat 159 ]
 They neither eat nor drink
 Angels are of an enormous number
 They have Hayaa
 They fear Allah
 The things that harm people harm them
 They love the righteous and pray for them
 They pray against the wrongdoers
 Protects from the false belief and heresy: Correct belief in all pillars of
Eemaan helps us from falling in the trap of false belief.
 Aids the believers in remaining steadfast in their religion: It
reminds the believer that he is not alone in worshipping Allah SWT.
 Helps the Believers to be patient: When we know that angels are
praying for us, it encourages us to be steadfast in our religion.
 Shows the honor of the believing human ::
 Even though the angels are so righteous, noble and special, Allah SWT had
told them to prostrate before Adam and serve people.
 Allah SWT says that He has honored human kind.
o And indeed We have honored the Children of Adam, and We have
carried them on land and sea, and have provided them with lawful
good things, and have preferred them above many of those whom We
           have created with a marked preference. [ Surah al-Isra 17, Ayat 70]
 Demonstrates the Greatness of our Lord: When we learn about the
might and power of some of the angels we appreciate the greatness of our
  Creator.
 Al-Mu'tazila are the group who first raised the issue that the
angels are better than the human.
 Shia' say: Their imams are better than angels. who in turn are
better than human. (Imam > angels > human)
 Ibn Abee Al-'Izz Al-Hanafee mentioned that the opinion of Ahl As-
Sunnah is that the Prophets and righteous humans are better
than the Angels, even though he himself refrained from giving an
  opinion on the issue.
 Imam Ibn-Taymiah clarified this issue by stating that:
 "Angels are better in this worldly life, but in the hereafter as
the human being enter the paradise, they are better than the
      angels."
 No action is based on this issue, so it is not of practical
  importance
 Obligatory
 Denying is considered Kufr by consensus of the
    scholars.
o Sahih International: Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to
me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard
         an amazing Qur’an. [ Surah al-Jin 72, Ayat 1 ]

 Linguistic Definition of Jinn
 Sahih International: O children of Adam, let not
Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from
Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show
them their private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and
his tribe, from where you do not see them. Indeed,
We have made the devils allies to those who do not
    believe. [ Surah al-A’raf 7, Ayat 27 ]
 Technical Definition
 They are accountable beings with free will. Allah created
them from fire and they are invisible to humans. They have
special abilities, unlike those of humans.
o Muhsin Khan: And the jinn, We created aforetime from the
          smokeless flame of fire. [ Surah al-Hijr 15, Ayat 27 ]
o Sahih International: And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame
          of fire. [ Surah ar-Rahman 55, Ayat 15 ]

 Are Jinns Visible to Human ?
 Muhsin Khan: O Children of Adam! Let not Shaitan (Satan) deceive you,
as he got your parents [Adam and Hawwa (Eve)] out of Paradise, stripping
them of their raiments, to show them their private parts. Verily, he and
Qabiluhu (his soldiers from the jinns or his tribe) see you from where you
cannot see them. Verily, We made the Shayatin (devils) Auliya' (protectors
and helpers) for those who believe not. [ Surah al-A’raf 7, Ayat 27 ]
 Sahih International: And I did not create the jinn and
  mankind except to worship Me. [ Surah ad-Dhariyat 51, Ayat 56 ]
 Sahih International: "O company of jinn and
mankind, did there not come to you messengers from
among you, relating to you My verses and warning you
of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "We
bear witness against ourselves"; and the worldly life
had deluded them, and they will bear witness against
themselves that they were disbelievers. [ Surah al-An’am
   6, Ayat 130 ]
He is Iblees, the Great Taaghoot, and the Enemy of
 Mankind

He is one of the Jinn
    Surah al-Kahf 18, Ayat 50
      o Muhsin Khan: And (remember) when We said to the angels;
"Prostrate to Adam." So they prostrated except Iblis (Satan). He was
one of the jinns; he disobeyed the Command of his Lord. Will you then
take him (Iblis) and his offspring as protectors and helpers rather than
Me while they are enemies to you? What an evil is the exchange for
the Zalimun (polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc).
o Sahih International: And [mention] when We said to the angels,
"Prostrate to Adam," and they prostrated, except for Iblees. He was of
the jinn and departed from the command of his Lord. Then will you
take him and his descendants as allies other than Me while they are
enemies to you? Wretched it is for the wrongdoers as an exchange.
Is Iblees “the father” of all Jinn ?

 This is more so the opinion of the scholars but not defined /
mentioned / clarified by the Prophet (saw).

    Surah al-Kahf 18, Ayat 50
      o   Muhsin Khan: And (remember) when We said to the angels;
"Prostrate to Adam." So they prostrated except Iblis (Satan). He was
one of the jinns; he disobeyed the Command of his Lord. Will you
then take him (Iblis) and his offspring as protectors and helpers
rather than Me while they are enemies to you? What an evil is the
exchange for the Zalimun (polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc).
o Sahih International: And [mention] when We said to the angels,
"Prostrate to Adam," and they prostrated, except for Iblees. He was
of the jinn and departed from the command of his Lord. Then will you
take him and his descendants as allies other than Me while they are
enemies to you? Wretched it is for the wrongdoers as an exchange.
Sheikh Ibn Taymiah mentions that Iblees is the father of
 all jinn.

He was given the shape of an angel due to his excellent
worship to Allah SWT. When he disbelieved he was
changed back to his original or worsened shape, no
 more like an angel.

He has horns, and his face looks like an ugly fruit from
the bottom of the hellfire. Describing the tree in hellfire,
 Allah SWT says
 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire,
The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin
     (devils) [ Surah As-Saffat 37, Ayat 64-65 ]

Allaah?’ He said, “Even me, but Allaah helped me with him and he
became Muslim (or: and I am safe from him), so he only enjoins me to
do that which is good.” [ Muslim ]
 According to another report, “… There is assigned to him a companion
from among the jinn and a companion from among the angels.” [Saheeh
    Muslim ]
 And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of
the Most Beneficent (Allah) (i.e. this Quran and worship of Allah), We
appoint for him Shaitan (Satan devil) to be a Qarin (an intimate
  companion) to him. [ Surah Az-Zukhruf 43, Ayat 36]
 Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard the Prophet saying, "Whoever sees me in
a dream will see me in his wakefulness, and Satan cannot imitate me in

 Sahih International: [Iblees] said, "Do You see this one whom You
have honored above me? If You delay me until the Day of Resurrection,
I will surely destroy his descendants, except for a few." [Allah] said,
"Go, for whoever of them follows you, indeed Hell will be the
recompense of you – an ample recompense. And incite [to
senselessness] whoever you can among them with your voice and
assault them with your horses and foot soldiers and become a partner
in their wealth and their children and promise them." But Satan does
    not promise them except delusion. [ Surah al-Isra 17, Ayat 62 - 64 ]
 Sahih International: [Satan] said, "Because You have put me in
error, I will surely sit in wait for them on Your straight path. Then I will
come to them from before them and from behind them and on their
right and on their left, and You will not find most of them grateful [to
    You]." [ Surah al-A'raf 7, Ayat 16 - 17 ]

 Life of the Jin
 Narrated: Abdullah bin Umar :: Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Abu
Bakr ibn Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Umar from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of
Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "When you eat, eat with your right hand
and drink with your right hand. shaytan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand."
     [ Imam Malik's Muwatta ]

 Ibn Mas`ud reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says: “There came to
me an inviter on behalf of the Jinn and I went along with him and recited to them the Qur’an.”
He (the narrator) said: The Prophet then went along with us and showed us their traces and
traces of their embers. The Jinn asked the Prophet about their provision and he said: “Every
bone on which the name of Allah is recited is your provision. The time it will fall in your hand
it would be covered with flesh, and (you can have) all the droppings as food for your animals.”
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “So do not use (these things) for

they are enemies to you? Wretched it is for the wrongdoers as an
     exchange. [ Surah al-Kahf 18, Ayat 50 ]
 Jinn & Marriage
   Can Humans & Jinn Inter-Marry ?
     o Contradictory Opinions
 Ibn Taymiyyah says that it is well know that men and Jinn can
intermarry and have children. Al-Imam as-Suyootee also
           mentions many stories.
 Al-Imam Malik and other Muslim jurists accepted the possibility
of a human make marrying a female of the Jin, but rejected the
opposite. Other jurists rejected the possibility of either.
     o Clear Proof
 Sahih International: And Allah has made for you from yourselves
mates and has made for you from your mates sons and
grandchildren and has provided for you from the good things.
Then in falsehood do they believe and in the favor of Allah they
           disbelieve? [ Surah an-Nahl 16, Ayat 72 ]
 Sahih International: And of His signs is that He created for you
from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and
He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are
           signs for a people who give thought. [ Surah ar-Rum 30, Ayat 21 ]

 They spread at the time of sunset and often sit between
       shade & light
 The Shayateen will not enter a house where the name of
       Allah was mentioned upon entering.
 They run away from homes where Surah al-Baqarah is
recited, where Allah’s Name is often mentioned
 When they hear the adhan they run away
 In Ramadan, the Shayateen are chained
 Jinns Die
 Sahih International: Everyone upon the earth will perish, [ Surah ar-Rahman
     55, Ayat 26 ]
 Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: The Prophet used to say, “I seek refuge (with YOU) by
Your ‘Izzat, None has the right to be worshipped but You Who does not die
while the jinns and the human beings die.” [ Bukhari ]

 Food of Jinn
 Sahih International: And incite [to senselessness] whoever you can among
them with your voice and assault them with your horses and foot soldiers
and become a partner in their wealth and their children and promise
them." But Satan does not promise them except delusion. [ Surah al-Isra 17, Ayat
     64 ]
 It is recorded from Ibn Masud that a messenger from the jinn came to the
Prophet (SAW) and he went with them. The Prophet (SAW) read to them
some verses. The Prophet (SAW) showed the people the remains of their
embers. They asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about their
provisions and he told them, .Every bone on which the name of Allah has
been mentioned will have meat on it for you. And the dung are fodder for
    your animals.. [ Saheeh al-Muslim ]
 Weakness of Jinn
 No power over Righteous Muslim
o Sahih International: Indeed, over My [believing] servants there is for you no
authority. And sufficient is your Lord as Disposer of affairs. [ Surah al-Isra 17, Ayat 65
        ]
o Sahih International: And he had over them no authority except [it was
decreed] that We might make evident who believes in the Hereafter from
who is thereof in doubt. And your Lord, over all things, is Guardian. [ Surah Saba'
        34, Ayat 21 ]

   Limited Power
o Sahih International: And the devils have not brought the revelation down. It
is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. Indeed they, from [its]
        hearing, are removed. [ Surah Ash-Shu'ara 26, Ayat 210 - 212 ]
o Sahih International: Say, "If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to
produce the like of this Qur’an, they could not produce the like of it, even if
they were to each other assistants." [ Surah al-Isra 17, Ayat 88 ]

        shape.'" [ Saheeh al-Bukhari ]
 Weakness of Jinn
   Limited to this Universe
o Sahih International: So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny ?
We will attend to you, O prominent beings. So which of the favors of your
Lord would you deny ? O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to
pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not
pass except by authority [from Allah]. So which of the favors of your Lord
would you deny ? There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and
         you will not defend yourselves. [ Surah ar-Rahman 55, Ayat 33 - 35 ]
o Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah: The Prophet said, “Cover your utensils and tie
your water skins, and close your doors and keep your children close to you at
night, as the jinns spread out at such time and snatch things away. When you
go to bed, put out your lights, for the mischief-doer (i.e. the rat) may drag
away the wick of the candle and burn the dwellers of the house.” Ata said,
“The devils.” (instead of the jinns). [ Bukhari ]
o Hadith - Muwatta, 49.21 :: ...Shaytan does not open a locked door or untie a
tied knot, or uncover a vessel.
 Whispers
 Bukhari and Muslim report that once when the Prophet was in seclusion
(I'tikaf) in the mosque, his wife Safiyyah went to see him. When she left, the Prophet
accompanied her to his house. On the way he met two Companions from Ansar who were
passing by. They sped up their pace when they saw him. He called them and said, "This is my
wife Safiyyah bint Huyai. They said, "Subhan Allah! O Messenger of Allah, why are you saying
this?" The Prophet said, "Satan flows inside man like blood. I feared, may be he put bad
thoughts about me in your minds.“

 Speed
 Sahih International: A powerful one from among the jinn said, “I will bring it to you
before you rise from your place, and indeed, I am for this *task+ strong and trustworthy.” Said
one who had knowledge from the Scripture, “I will bring it to you before your glance returns
to you.” And when *Solomon+ saw it placed before him, he said, “This is from the favor of my
Lord to test me whether I will be grateful or ungrateful. And whoever is grateful – his
gratitude is only for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever is ungrateful – then indeed, my Lord
     is Free of need and Generous.” [ Surah an-Naml 27, Ayat 39 - 40 ]
 Sahih International: And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled
with powerful guards and burning flames. And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing,
but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him. [ Surah al-Jinn 72, Ayat 8 - 9 ]
 Transformation
 They cannot transform in front of us
 Jinn can transform into the shape of humans and animals, especially those which are black
o Abu Tha’labah al-Khushani said: “The Messenger of Allaah said: ‘The jinn are of three types:
        a types that has wings, and they fly through the air; a type that looks like snakes and dogs;
and a type that stops for a rest then resumes its journey.” [ Shaykh al-Albaani said in al-Mishkaat
          (2/1206, no. 4148): al-Tahhaawi and Abu’l-Shaykh reported it with a saheeh isnaad ]
 Jinn often enter houses in the shape of snakes.
o Three types of snakes that the jinn won’t take form are rattle snake, cobra, and a bald snake.
 Prophet (saw) made an exception regarding the bald snake with two spots above its
eyes. This type of snake should be killed immediately. [ Bukhari ]
o A Muslim should follow the following etiquettes ::
 Do not rush to kill a snake that is found in your home
 Command the snake to leave the house
 After three, it can be killed
 Hadith - Sunan of Abu Dawood, Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri :: Muhammad ibn
AbuYahya said that his father told that he and his companion went to AbuSa'id al-
Khudri to pay a sick visit to him. He said: Then we came out from him and met a
companion of ours who wanted to go to him. We went ahead and sat in the
mosque. He then came back and told us that he heard AbuSa'id al-Khudri say: The
Apostle of Allah said: Some snakes are jinn; so when anyone sees one of them in
his house, he should give it a warning three times. If it return (after that), he
should kill it, for it is a devil.
 Can Jinn possess Humans ?
 Ibn Taymiyyah said , “ The entering of Jinn into the body of humans is a well-
established fact by the agreement of the Imams of Ahl As-Sunnah wal-
    Jama’ah.
 Sahih International: Those who consume interest cannot stand [on the Day of
Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity.
That is because they say, "Trade is [just] like interest." But Allah has permitted
trade and has forbidden interest. So whoever has received an admonition from
his Lord and desists may have what is past, and his affair rests with Allah. But
whoever returns to [dealing in interest or usury] – those are the companions of
the Fire; they will abide eternally therein. [ Surah al-Baqarah 2, Ayat 275 ]
 Bukhari and Muslim report that once when the Prophet was in seclusion
(I'tikaf) in the mosque, his wife Safiyyah went to see him. When she left, the
Prophet accompanied her to his house. On the way he met two Companions
from Ansar who were passing by. They sped up their pace when they saw him.
He called them and said, "This is my wife Safiyyah bint Huyai. They said,
"Subhan Allah! O Messenger of Allah, why are you saying this?" The Prophet
said, "Satan flows inside man like blood. I feared, may be he put bad thoughts
    about me in your minds."
 Why do Jinns Possess Humans ?
   Enmity
   Magic
o Sahih International: And when a messenger from Allah came to them
confirming that which was with them, a party of those who had been given
the Scripture threw the Scripture of Allah behind their backs as if they did
not know [what it contained]. And they followed [instead] what the devils
had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who
disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which
was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harūt and Marūt. But the two
angels do not teach anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not
disbelieve [by practicing magic]." And [yet] they learn from them that by
which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not
harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah. And the people learn
what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel
certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the
Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if
         they only knew. [ Surah al-Baqarah 2, Ayat 101 - 102 ]
o This is the most common type of possession. A possessed man was brought
to the prophet (SAW) and he said: “’Aduw Allah ukhruj (O enemy of Allah,
exit the body of the possessed).
 Why do Jinns Possess Humans ?
   Revenge
o If a person hurts an animal that were jinn, the jinn will
       take revenge for it.
o If man disturbs the jinn they would take revenge.
o Simple hatred for the human being.

   Adoration or lust
o Jinn might have lust for female among human
o Homosexuality is more widespread among the Jinn than
       human
 How to Avoid Possessions ?
 Fear of Jinn is the invitation
   Fear Allah
   Seek Allah’s Help
   Be clothed properly
   Cover your food
   Well smelled housed
   Organized house
   Make Du’a before entering/exiting washrooms
   Make Du’a before entering/exiting home
 Recite Allah’s name before doing anything. i.e.
    dressing, eating, etc
 Signs of Poessessions ?
 hate to hear the Quran.
   hate to pray.
 find it very hard to fast.
 react in a very weird way. They will go from one
extreme stage (e.g. extreme laughter, anger etc) to
    another.
 have extremely bad nightmares constantly.
 feel as if ants are crawling all over his/her body.
 feel numbness in their hands and feet.
 will speak weird languages. Languages that the
    person was never exposed to.
 How to cure Poessession ?
   Read Quran & Dhikr

             Verses from surah as-Saffat.
 Surah al-Baqarah, specially the last two verses
o Once above is done, do the following
 Blow on to the water mixed with the following mixture. Before water finishes add
some more it as the barakah will pass on to the new content
 Break and/or grind Lote Tree leaves [Southern Nettle Tree, Lote Tree, Honeyberry,

 Narrated Saud: I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "If Somebody takes seven
'Ajwa dates in the morning, neither magic nor poison will hurt him that day."
                       [ Bukhari ]
 7 dates and nothing else in each meal and water. Preferably the above mixture
                 water.
 Some scholars mention any dates are fine
   Fasting
   Destroying the magical charm
 It is not permissible to seek help from magicians
 Sahih International: And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind – its
morning [journey was that of] a month – and its afternoon [journey
was that of] a month, and We made flow for him a spring of [liquid]
copper. And among the jinn were those who worked for him by the
permission of his Lord. And whoever deviated among them from Our
command – We will make him taste of the punishment of the Blaze.
They made for him what he willed of elevated chambers, statues,
bowls like reservoirs, and stationary kettles. [We said], "Work, O family
of David, in gratitude." And few of My servants are grateful. [ Surah Saba
    34, Ayat 12 - 13 ]

 Sahih International: And We certainly tried Solomon and placed on his
throne a body; then he returned. He said, "My Lord, forgive me and
grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed,
You are the Bestower." So We subjected to him the wind blowing by his
command, gently, wherever he directed, And [also] the devils [of jinn] –
every builder and diver And others bound together in shackles. [ Surah
   Sad 38, Ayat 34 - 38 ]
Here are the key points about Tawheed ar-Ruboobiyah (Oneness in Lordship) based on the verses:- It affirms that Allah alone is the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens, earth, night and day, ships that sail the seas, and rain that gives life. - All creation and sustenance comes from Allah alone. He is the sole Provider and Controller of all affairs. - It establishes that everything in existence is dependent on Allah for its creation and continued existence. Nothing can exist or function without Allah's will and power.- By acknowledging Allah's Ruboobiyah (Lordship), one recognizes that Allah is the sole deity who is deserving

If one does not believe in Allah then belief in these are solely disputable concepts, not facts. Lets us clear our doubt in light of what Allah & His Prophet (saw) has to say about them and what are the prescribed actions for us to address them.

On the authority of Al-Numan bin Basheer, who said : I heard the messenger of Allah say :: "That which is lawful is plain and that which is unlawful is plain and between the two of them are doubtful matters about which not many people know. Thus he who avoids doubtful matters clears himself in regard to his religion and his honor, but he who falls into doubtful matters falls into that which is unlawful, like the shepherd who pastures around a sanctuary, all but grazing therein. Truly every king has a sanctuary, and truly Allah's sanctuary is His prohibitions. Truly in the body there is a morsel of flesh which, if it be whole, all the body is whole and which, if it be diseased, all of it is diseased. Truly it is the heart." [Bukhari & Muslim] On the authority of Al-Hasan bin Ali, the grandson of the messenger of Allah, who said :: I memorized from the messenger of Allah his saying : "Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt." [Tirmidhi & Nasaee] On the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said : The messenger of Allah said :: "Part of someone's being a good Muslim is his leaving alone that which does not concern him." [Tirmidhi] On the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said :: I heard the messenger of Allah say :: "What I have forbidden to you, avoid; what I have ordered you [to do], do as much of it as you can. It was only their excessive questioning and their disagreeing with their prophets that destroyed those who were before you." [Bukhari & Muslim]

Sahih Muslim Book 001, Number 0001: One day we were sitting in the company of Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) when there appeared before us a man dressed in pure white clothes, his hair extraordinarily black. There were no signs of travel on him. None amongst us recognized him. At last he sat with the Apostle (peace be upon him) He knelt before him placed his palms on his thighs and said: Muhammad, inform me about al-Islam. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Al-Islam implies that you testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and you establish prayer, pay Zakat, observe the fast of Ramadan, and perform pilgrimage to the (House) if you are solvent enough (to bear the expense of) the journey. He (the inquirer) said: You have told the truth. He (Umar ibn al-Khattab) said: It amazed us that he would put the question and then he would himself verify the truth. He (the inquirer) said: Inform me about Iman (faith). He (the Holy Prophet) replied: That you affirm your faith in Allah, in His angels, in His Books, in His Apostles, in the Day of Judgment, and you affirm your faith in the Divine Decree about good and evil. He (the inquirer) said: You have told the truth. He (the inquirer) again said: Inform me about al-Ihsan (performance of good deeds). He (the Holy Prophet) said: That you worship Allah as if you are seeing Him, for though you don't see Him, He, verily, sees you.

It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harūt and Marūt. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic]." And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah. 3. Surah al-Baqarah 2, Ayat 177Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.
  4. Surah Al-Baqarah 2, Ayat 1 – 6This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah – Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. Indeed, those who disbelieve – it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them – they will not believe.
  5. Surah Al-Imran 3, Ayat 7It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise – they are the foundation of the Book – and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.
  6. Truly it is the heart." [Bukhari & Muslim]On the authority of Al-Hasan bin Ali, the grandson of the messenger of Allah, who said :: I memorized from the messenger of Allah his saying : "Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt." [Tirmidhi & Nasaee]On the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said : The messenger of Allah said :: "Part of someone's being a good Muslim is his leaving alone that which does not concern him." [Tirmidhi]On the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said :: I heard the messenger of Allah say :: "What I have forbidden to you, avoid; what I have ordered you [to do], do as much of it as you can. It was only their excessive questioning and their disagreeing with their prophets that destroyed those who were before you." [Bukhari & Muslim]

  11. He (the enquirer) again said: Inform me about the hour (of the Doom). He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: One who is asked knows no more than the one who is inquiring (about it). He (the inquirer) said: Tell me some of its indications. He (the Holy Prophet) said: That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and master, that you will find barefooted, destitute goat-herds vying with one another in the construction of magnificent buildings.  He (the narrator, Umar ibn al-Khattab) said: Then he (the inquirer) went on his way but I stayed with him (the Holy Prophet) for a long while. He then, said to me: Umar, do you know who this inquirer was? I replied: Allah and His Apostle knows best. He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: He was Gabriel (the angel). He came to you in order to instruct you in matters of religion.

  15. Two Types of Rubuubiyyah General Rubuubiyyah :: This is to all creation. No object exists without Allah being its Rabb. This the case even if they deny it. For example, even if the Athiest deny, Allah is his/her Creator. Specific Rubuubiyyah :: When you acknowledge Allah, then Allah has a special relationship with you. This is Rubuubiyyah that Allah shows to His servants. For example, as parent you are more concerned about your own child than a general concern about your neighbors child as a human being.
  16. ParableThe droppings and footprints of the camel points to where the camel went. Similarly, the sings of the creation points to the Creator.Signs of Creations areThe order of the creationThe complexity of the creation  SahihInternational: Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and the earth are signs for a people who use reason.( al Baqarah :: 002.164 )There are around 30,000 genes in the human body, incorrect sequences of nucleotides making up a gene would render that gene completely useless. Frank B. Salisbury writes in “Doubts about the Modern Synthetic Theory of Evolution”, American Biology Teacher, September 1971, p. 336:“A medium protein might include about 300 amino acids. The DNAgene controlling this would have about 1,000 nucleotides in its chain. Since there are four kinds of nucleotides in a DNA chain, one consisting of 1,000 links could exist in 41,000 forms. Using a little algebra (logarithms) we can see that 4^1000=10^600. Ten multiplied by itself 600 times gives the figure 1 followed by 600 zeros! This number is completely beyond our comprehension.”
  17. Innate nature of man to identify the oneness of Allah. SahihInternational: So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know. ( ar-Ruum 30.30 )   If the child were left alone, he would worship Allah in his own way, but all children are affected by those things around them, seen or unseen. The Prophet (PBUH) reported that Allah said, "I created my servants in the right religion but devils made them go astray". The Prophet (PBUH) also said, "Each child is born in a state of "Fitrah", then his parents make him a Jew, Christian or a Zoroastrian, the way an animal gives birth to a normal offspring. Have you noticed any that were born mutilated?" (Collected by Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim). SahihInternational: And [mention] when your Lord took from the children of Adam – from their loins – their descendants and made them testify of themselves, [saying to them], "Am I not your Lord?" They said, "Yes, we have testified." [This] – lest you should say on the day of Resurrection, "Indeed, we were of this unaware.“ (al-A’raf 7.172 )
  18. Uloohiyyah Rubuubiyah alone is not sufficientIf a Muslim says I believe in Allah and that’s it, then that person is as equal to Shaytan (Iblis)Shaytan, even after believing Allah, He called him Kafer. To be a Muslim, he/she must also believe in Allah’s Uloohiyyah   Al-Hashr059.016 - 17 SahihInternational: [The hypocrites are] like the example of Satan when he says to man, "Disbelieve." But when he disbelieves, he says, "Indeed, I am disassociated from you. Indeed, I fear Allah, Lord of the worlds. So the outcome for both of them is that they will be in the Fire, abiding eternally therein. And that is the recompense of the wrong-doers.  Similarly, Prostration is only one act of Tawheed, which is Uloohiyyah. It is only with Doa that it becomes complete.More than 500 verses in Quran, speaking against doing Doa to other than Allah.

  23. Prevents others from seeking forgiveness for the personIf a person dies in a state shirk, it is prohibited for Muslims not to seek forgiveness for himProphet (saw) said to his uncle at the time of his passing away, “ O my Uncle! Say one phrase by which I will argue your case in front of Allah”  At-Taubah009.113 - 114 Sahih International: It is not for the Prophet and those who have believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are companions of Hellfire. And the request of forgiveness of Abraham for his father was only because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became apparent to Abraham that his father was an enemy to Allah, he disassociated himself from him. Indeed was Abraham compassionate and patient. And Allah would not let a people stray after He has guided them until He makes clear to them what they should avoid. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of all things.

  27. Angels in Islam
  28. It is the second pillar of Eeman.Sahih International: The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination." [ Surah al-Baqarah 2, Ayat 285 ] Sahih International: Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent. [ Surah Fatir 35, Ayat 1 ] Sahih International: And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah or says, "It has been inspired to me," while nothing has been inspired to him, and one who says, "I will reveal [something] like what Allah revealed." And if you could but see when the wrongdoers are in the overwhelming pangs of death while the angels extend their hands, [saying], "Discharge your souls! Today you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation for what you used to say against Allah other than the truth and [that] you were, toward His verses, being arrogant." [ Surah al-An’am 6, Ayat 93 ]Sahih International: Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter name the angels female names, And they have thereof no knowledge. They follow not except assumption, and indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all. [ Surah an-Najm 53, Ayat 27 - 28 ]Aysha (R) narrated that the Prophet (saw) said, "The angels were created from light, the jinn were created from fire. Man was created from what has been described to you." [ Muslim ]According to IbnHajar, Sa'id bin al-Musayyab, "The angels are neither male nor female. They neither eat nor drink. According to hadith, the Prophet (PBUH) asked Jibril, "What is Mika'il in charge of?" He replied, "The plants and the rain." (At-Tabarani)Mika'il has assistants who follow his orders and make the clouds and winds move according to Allah's will. And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share.
