This unit plan focuses on teaching kindergarten students about the four seasons. Over nine days, students will use books, videos, hands-on activities and technology to learn about seasonal weather patterns, types of clothing worn during each season, and how plants and animals change. Activities include a student response system quiz, creating a KWL chart, reading books, discussing weather outside, watching an educational video, completing math and language arts worksheets, planting lima beans, making seasonal dioramas and drawings, and using websites to learn more about each season. Students will be evaluated based on their participation in discussions, group projects, individual projects, and worksheets.
