- The techies and early adaptors love this. These are the people to create a Yammer network and start leaving messages with a few other people. These are the people you need to have within every company, to take the lead, make people enthusiastic. *Talk about Joolz workshop*
- These are the people it’s all about (not old people) but the business users who don’t care about new stuff. They are busy with their day to day business. They aren’t all unwilling to participate, that’s not the issue. They want to have an answer to this question: What’s in it for me? How does this make my life easier and more efficient? That’s the key to adoption! Being able to answer that question and get these people involved and excited! If you aren’t able to answer, and keep answering, that question adoption is really at stake and keen lead to a failed implementation, and continuation, of Office 365 within every business. This leads to a lose of an investment.

Outline the objectives and identify all critical stakeholders across the business. Suggested deliverables include a vision statement objectives executive sponsorship across all areas of the business that are impacted identified champions that can spearhead the effort. The role of executives in the four-step process: Executives have the greatest influence on culture Their participation is essential in driving employees’ adoption of new technologies. Employees crave a sense of transparency into their organization’s leadership Organizations that explicitly secure executive sponsors to actively communicate the value and benefit of Office 365 are more likely to be successful with their rollout. Executive support is also an essential aspect of driving end-user adoption. They need to commit to lead by example by incorporating Office 365 capabilities into how they personally get work done.

If your end users are new to Office 365, your training should do more than simply introduce them to procedural “how-to” information for performing tasks. They need to know why the change is happening, what’s in it for them, and why they’re being asked to change. A key part of your training plan is to demonstrate the benefits of the change. Understanding and addressing user concerns is key toward easing the transition and ensuring a successful deployment. Here are some tips: Lead with benefits: explain what their specific work will look like with Office 365, and what types of efficiencies or benefits they can expect in comparison with any old tools or processes. Use real work scenarios: use the tasks or business processes that are familiar to your audience as a way to draw them into feature-specific information. Include your governance model: make sure to integrate information about the rules, processes, and best practices that your organization has put into place around Office 365. Create a learning center: use an internal team site to store training resources such as getting started guides and tips & tricks. Mobilize Champions: call upon your network of champions who are committed to developing Office 365 expertise to provide coaching and assistance across their teams.
- We enter into the IT and business transformations that are being driven by new technology and new IT options with our customers. Customers have lots of reasons they enter into business and IT transformations. Because of the nature of our focus on Office 365, it often feels like a technology conversation. And, there are lots of variables, components and technology topics that need to be discussed. But ultimately, the customer’s only real interest is to get to the results they have envisioned. They don’t really want cloud, or technology, or any of the transformational challenges that go with moving from one system to a new one or one approach to a new one – they want the freedom, the scale, the simplicity and the promise cloud offers. They hope to see employees realize their individual potential and see the importance of this, but also want to ensure that the organization reaps the benefits of that impact. And they look to quantify the value they receive from their investments, and realize that value today and into the future.

- The adoption journey doesn’t end after launch day nor after measuring your launch impact. Driving adoption is a continuous cycle and you should constantly be looking for new ways that Enterprise Social can add business value to the customer’s organization, to keep up with the evolving users needs.
