11. Electrical RepairShop
One of the key shop in the plant
For the repairment and maintenance of electric motors
installed in whole plant
Around 40 thousand motors are installed in whole plant
12. Electrical Repair Shop consists of different sections like Receive and
Issue Section, Assembly Section , Winding Section , Coil section , Testing
Section etc.
also Consists of Magnet and Transformer Repair shop
main purpose of this shop is to repair the electric motors and after the
reassembling , it is sent back to the respective shops.
13. Power System Department
Main purpose of this section is to monitor , control and distribute Power to
the whole plant
Total of 280 MW load capacity in plant
Seven Power system department to control electric power in plant
Power is taken from three power plants i.e. PP1 , PP2 and PP3 .
PP3 is a joint venture of SAIL and NTPC ( NHPCL )
Power is controlled using electric yards components

Plates of wide variety, in any required size, and strength, chemical and
physical properties, can be produced here
capacity to produce high pressure, boiler quality and high tensile steels
Bhilai has the widest plate mill in the country, and it uses continuously
cast slabs as input.
