6. History of ITC Hotels
ITC was first launched on Oct 18,1975, with the
opening of its first hotel “Fortune “ in Chennai, Which
was renamed ‘Hotel Chola’
It is a part of the ITC limited (Formerly India Tobacco
Company) group of companies.ITC Hotels is
regularly voted amongst the best employers in Asia
in the Hospitality sector.
Going beyond the corporate travelers, the chain’s
flagship Hotels, ITC Maurya, New Delhi and ITC
Windsor, Bangalore have had the proud privilege of
hosting many world leaders; From former US
President Bill Clinton, Russian President Vladimir
Putin, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, German
chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, to business tycoons
like Bill Gates and Michael Dell.
ITC Hotels is also the exclusive franchisee of The
Luxury Collection brand of Starwood Hotels and
Resorts in India.

8. HISTORY OF HYATT HOTELS
THE HYATT Corporation came into being upon
purchase of the Hyatt house, at Los Angeles
International Airport, On September 27,1957.
The Hyatt Regency Hotel was first built in 1957 and is
located 2301 SE 17th street in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida.
In 1969, Hyatt opened its first hotel outside the US,
The Hyatt Regency Hong Kong.
In 1978, The Hyatt Regency Dallas was built which
was most notable for its association with the iconic
Dallas landmark Reunion Tower.
As of 31 December 2014 Hyatt Corporation’s
worldwide portfolio consisted of 587 properties.
