3. • Billy Beane is a retired Major League Baseball player and the General Manager for the
Oakland Athletics and is losing 3 of his best players after getting beat by the New York
Yankees in The Division Playoffs. His team is on a tight budget and doesn’t have enough
money to get his best players back, so he needs to find good players for cheap. With the
help of a newly hired recruit named Peter Brand, they try and win the World Series with a
team that has a budget of only $41 million.
• Quotes: I made one decision in my life based on money. And I swore I would never do it
again.
• I pay you to get on first, not get thrown out at second.
• Interesting Points: A baseball team goes so far and have a winning season on such a
small budget.

5. THE BLIND SIDE

6. • Based on the true story of Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy who take in a homeless teenager
named Michael Oher. Michael has little education and is very shy and quiet. The Tuohy’s
take Michael into their home and eventually adopt him. They sign him up for football but
Michael doesn’t know anything about the sport. He eventually gets really good and is
offered a scholarship to many Division One schools.
• Quotes: Michael: Sorry coach, I stopped when I heard the whistle. Coach Cotton: Where
were you taking him? Michael: The bus. It was time for him to go home.
• Interesting Points: A teenager who was homeless and had nothing stayed focused and
determined and his dreams came true.

7. THE GREEN HORNET

8. • Britt Reid has to take over a company that his father gave him after he died. He then
makes an alliance with his dads star favorite employee. The act as villains to get close to
all the high- powered criminals in the city.
• Quote: “It's not dying that you need be afraid of, it's never having lived in the first place .”
• Interesting points: Two guys team up and fight crime while they actually figure exactly
how Britt's father died.
• Rating: 6/10 stars
