1. ALICE PROJECT REPORT N°2 – FEB. 2016
Attn : SHINING HOPE FUNDATION
The 3-years Shining hope sponsorship has begun in October 2015 and the
second payment of 60 000€ has been done in Feb.2016 ;
The support of Shining hope has inspired a new energy and dynamism to Alice
Project, as a new beginning. Valentino, Luigina and the team are joyful,
confident and full of enthousiam and projects for the future !
They are planning to welcome more students next year in the new schools in a
beautiful environment and to create two shifts for the schools (to teach
morning and afternoon) in order to generate more incomes and increase the
salary of the teachers !
Also, they are thinking of use the videostreaming to teach in many classes at
the same time !
You will find below a summary the projects completed and the ones going on
for the next trimester.
2. BODHGAYA SCHOOL
1-Repairing one wall classroom and build a new floor in Primary classroom
n. 3 after earthquake : the earthquake in March 2015 which touched Nepal
alo touched India and Bodhgaya school. Some classrooms have been damaged
and needed some work repairs that is now completed(wall and floor) ;

2-New Junior Bodhagaya High School (3 floors bulding and a veranda)
The 1st
floor of the New Junior High School is now completed ! So the next
step will be the 2nd
floor and the pipes system.
3. 3- Audio video and electronic materials :Projectors, lap tops, Cameras
(surveillance), Two videos camera, 1 LED TV, Generator
SARNATH SCHOOL
1- AV and Electronic materials : LED TV, projectors & laptops, Cameras
(surveillance)
2- Printing 1200 books (I learn English Part 1&2)
3- Teachers reward bonus, Christmas bonus and Teachers uniforms
To be completed :
Guest house bulding : We are thinking of building some guests rooms where
the previous offices burned and to create some offices in the existing
classrooms in the main courtyard.
Build an extension to new school : Then the budget planned for the offices
(85 350€ originaly planned for 2016) could be allocated to the extension of the
new High school : we have begun to build this extension with 6 classrooms and
toilets of the new High school that has just been completed.
4. The Pizzeria project is going on ! We have welcomed some groups already !
Now we are improving the flyer and business cards design to be distributed
and we are planning to visit all travel agencies of Sarnath and Varanasi to
invite them to include Alice Project and its pizzeria in the « Must see » of the
city !
Also, we are working with Rochikant to organize a delivery system to
individuals but also to some restaurant who might include pizzas in their
menus ! More to come soon !!!
