4. The popular technology X was developed in the offices of a
Swedish communication technology company Y. The name of
the company Y was derived from the name of a Viking King who
ruled Denmark in the 10th Century. Just like the technology X,
during his rule the King Y unified all warring Danish tribes into
one kingdom, hence the analogy was used while naming the
technology as the technology too made unification easier. Even
the logo of this technology X was derived from the Danish
letters that represent the King’s initials. Identify X and Y.

Question 5
19. Sir Robert Augustus Chesebrough began his career as a chemist
clarifying kerosene from the oil of sperm whales. The discovery of petroleum
rendered his job obsolete, so he travelled to the newly discovered oil wells to
research what new materials might be created from the new fuel. This led to
his discovery of a substance, which he trade-named as X. In 1875, he founded
the Chesebrough Manufacturing Company that in 1955 became Ponds, a
leading manufacturer of personal-care products. Chesebrough's success
stemmed from a firm belief in his product. Before he began selling his
product, he tested it on his own cuts and burns. In front of an audience, he
would burn his skin with acid or an open flame, then spread X on his injuries
while demonstrating past injuries, healed, he claimed, by his miracle product.
In reality, X doesn't heal cuts and burns, the X forms a layer, causing dirt to
not get in (one of the leading causes of death and disease in his day were due
to open wounds being infected) and trapping the moisture in. To further
create demand, he gave out free samples, one of the first instances of it ever
being done. Chesebrough lived to be 96 years old and was such a believer in X
that he claimed to have eaten a spoonful of it every day. Identify X.

Question 3
61. “Fate has ordained that the men who went to the moon to explore in peace will stay
on the moon to rest in peace. These brave men, Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin,
know that there is no hope for their recovery. But they also know that there is hope
for mankind in their sacrifice.
These two men are laying down their lives in mankind's most noble goal: the search
for truth and understanding. They will be mourned by their families and friends; they
will be mourned by their nation; they will be mourned by the people of the world;
they will be mourned by a Mother Earth that dared send two of her sons into the
unknown. In their exploration, they stirred the people of the world to feel as one; in
their sacrifice, they bind more tightly the brotherhood of man. In ancient days, men
looked at stars and saw their heroes in the constellations. In modern times, we do
much the same, but our heroes are epic men of flesh and blood.
Others will follow, and surely find their way home. Man's search will not be denied.
But these men were the first, and they will remain the foremost in our hearts. For
every human being who looks up at the moon in the nights to come will know that
there is some corner of another world that is forever mankind.”
These words have been picked verbatim from Bob Haldeman’s notes who was the HR
of white house chief of staff.
Why was factually incorrect message circulated?
