The blue hat is most comfortable for the respondent as they like to arrange processes for projects, monitor steps, and adapt to changes with backup plans. The white hat is least comfortable as they are not good at data and financial analysis, though they have experience playing the role of CFO in a college project where they struggled with cost estimates and calculations, ultimately failing to win a tender.
1. Six color hats --- Creativity --- Venture Lab
Q: What hat color is most comfortable for you?
A: The blue hat. I like arrange process for every project. Monitor steps and steps until it
finish as plan. Of course changes always happen, so by time I wear a “blue” hat in
arranging, a “black” hat and a “red” hat are always by my side. And I like to listen all the
idea from teammates before arrange process. When I form a team, I would first evaluate
teammates’ character in minds though chats, then brainstorm around the project subject.
Select some brilliant points and starts to arrange it. Also a backup plan is needed to be
considered. So I will be more comfortable in “blue” hat.
Q: What is the least comfortable for you?
A: The white hat. I’m not good at analysis, especially in data analysis and finance. Even
though wearing a “white” hat is a big challenge for me, I do have an experience of playing
a part of CFO in a college project “ Simulated Investment”. I gathered and calculated a lot of
data, used so many equations and tools. But eventually, I trapped in cost estimate and
confused about how I got our bid prize? As an unqualified CFO, we failed to win the “tender”.
So I don’t quiet willing to be in that “role” again.
