Silas Ola Abayomi, was a former Assistant Professor of Mass Communication, University of Lagos, Nigeria; trained at Department of Mass Communication, received B.Sc and M.Sc respectively. Abayomi taught International Communication, Mass Media, Media Economy, and African Communication Systems. Before going into academics, Abayomi worked in Petroleum and Finance sectors of Nigeria economy. Upon relocating to United States, Abayomi changed his research focus and academic interest to Anthropology Cultural Studies, and Linguistics.
