- Any great piece of technology certainly will become a success, right? Wrong!
- * every technology that is developed needs multiple iterations and extensions before it becomes really useful on a commercial scale * most technology that is started will only end up as input to another, more market-informed set of technologies * most products that are developed towards a user need rely on many generations of previous technology failures to be created
- * markets and customer needs are different in different countries * using overseas success of a product as an indicator for choosing to develop a similar technology in AU is bound to fail because AU needs more integrated service offerings and has less of an appetite for cool new tech
- * you don't have to get a paying customer, just somebody who has a pain point and is willing to solve it with you, to be your guinea pig * if you cannot find a friend who is willing to be your first unpaid customer, maybe you are developing/considering the wrong technology – or are at minimum years ahead of the market
