2.  The product is a two minute opening sequence for a thriller film.
 A man is seen wearing black in the shadows and looks at the pictures of girls
and boys and then searches through his various, untidy files to find the girl he is
looking for. Surrounding him, there are torn pictures and unorganised files laid
out on the floor messily. He walks out of the room with the picture of the girl in
hand, and goes out of the door, slams it shut and the screen goes black. Silver
Nichols is tossing and turning in bed having a nightmare of being chased;
meanwhile the stalker is in her house roaming around. She wakes up and goes
to the bathroom and sees a post-it note on the bathroom mirror. She runs out
downstairs to the living room and sees the stalker pointing a gun at her. The
screen goes black and a bullet sound is heard.
 We will promote using flyers, leaflets and social media such as Twitter and
Facebook. This is to access our target audience and make them aware of the
film so they can draw interest to it.

3.  Our target audience is to a mass audience of male and females between the ages of 15-
25 years who enjoy watching thrillers and plot twists in storylines. The reason why we
chose this age range is because they are more likely to willingly watch a scary film that
involves uneasiness and excitement since they are unable to experience it in day to day
life. It would be inappropriate for the opening scene to reach younger ages such as 10
year olds since the scene includes some violence and could potentially have
psychological effects on young children; since they are easily influenced by what they
see. We have chosen for our audience to be unisex as there are many females who
enjoy thrillers just as much as males and also people who are looking for a day out with
their friends. Couples might want to see a thriller to experience something different
and fun to talk about later in order to get closer.
 We want the audience to experience suspense, tension and surprise when watching
the opening sequence. This can give an indication to the audience as to what to expect
from the rest of the film. We will make it appeal to the audience by including as much
action and detail within the opening to entice the target audience but not give too
much of the plot away.

4.  The opening sequence will first be shown in A29 in Oaks Park High
School, with the lights turned off and the blinds down. This is to create a
dark, eerie, tense atmosphere which would be similar to the atmosphere
to the sequence so the audience can feel like they are part of the action
themselves. The sound will be loud and the windows will be shut to avoid
outside distractions the reason being that the viewers will be able to
immerse themselves within the action and emphasise the tension and
fear with the music.

6.  In our product we will film mostly in low lighting, we will film in an average
looking house at night/late evening to keep eerie atmosphere for the audience
and we will use shadows and ambiguity for the viewer to fear the unknown.
 We will also be filming in a forest where the antagonist is being chased to
include action and adrenaline. We will also use dramatic irony where the
audience will gain knowledge that the female protagonist is in danger and the
stalker is out to get her.
 We will be using dark colours to provoke death and evil and mystery to provide
a certain atmosphere for the audience to experience. The antagonist will be
wearing black so it will be easier for him to merge into the shadows and
represent death and fear. The female antagonist will be wearing normal
clothing to represent her being a normal clothing but with different colours.
She will be wearing blue or white clothing to represent the purity and
innocence in her and also wear a hint of pink since it represents vulnerability.

7.  Our production name is TouchDown Productions; a British production
company. It will start out on a national basis, showing videos to the UK
audience only. After, if we gain attention from other countries, we will be
able to showcase globally; gaining more viewers and fans. Our product
will be distributed through media such as TV, radio, advertisements,
newspapers, magazines and through the internet.

8.  We are going to represent the female protagonist as a stereotypical
female in the thriller genre as this will allow the viewer to sympathise
with the character and instantly be on her side. The antagonist will be a
stereotypical male that is ruthless and cold in his killings. Having
conventional characters will mean that viewers would know the structure
of a thriller and identify the characters and familiarise themselves with
them; this will make sure that the viewers will get straight into the plot
and not wander who the characters are. We will represent the female
character as a vulnerable and timid girl that is absent of affection from
her father since the mother abandoned her. This idea has derived from
the movie Scream as it shows a male stalker wanting to kill the female.
However we have manipulated this movie to a more toned down version
so it can be seen as realistic as possible to the viewer.

9.  We will stick to the typical genre stereotypes of a psychological
thriller as it involves a protagonist that faces death because of a
stalker and undertakes a dangerous situation which they did not
expect to find themselves in. Moreover, a conventional cliff-hanger
ending will entice the viewer and make them wonder what will
happen resulting in them wanting to watch the film. It will also make
the viewer understand what the general plot is and follow the film.
Furthermore, we will be using good character vs. Bad character in
order to emphasise the innocence of the female and how wrong and
sick the stalker really is. Our location of the forest maintains a creepy,
eerie feel which may create excitement for the viewers and the
location of the house will frighten the audience and make it scarier
since it will seem more realistic.
