Life In The 21st Century
The world is changing, and changing fast. Technology, education, health, eating habits, dress– there
is hardly anything in life that is not changing, some changes we like, while others create fear and
anxiety. Several predictions were made that the world will end in 2012 based on the rollover of the
Mayan calendar but all these forecasting were proved to be fictitious. On the contrary we are living
in the 21st century, 2025 and the world has changed tremendously in the last 13 years. The world
has been transformed by the digital revolution and advances in medicine and human knowledge. The
present–day civilization stands on two legs, one is spirituality, and the other is science.
Today, I woke up and have a coffee. My eyes got baffled to the digital newspaper headlines and it
was written that 'Colonization on Mars has begun'. Then suddenly I remembered my old days
when newspapers were printed on papers. Technology has changed every aspect of life. Now people
are going to live on Mars and the problem of over–population has been solved. Then I got ready and
proceed towards my office. Earlier we have to catch an auto or bus to reach our destination and
now the transportation has become so simple that we can travel from one place to another with
ease. Being as an engineer in Metro Services I feel proud to work there because it has solved the
transportation problem. While sitting in the metro I saw the streets which were so clean that not even
a single paper was thrown away. At

The Complexity of Simply Dying
At first glance, the concept of death seems simple; one tries to live as long as possible, and when
the time comes, he goes. However, there is much more to it than that. There is everything that leads
to a person's death and there is the aftermath. In her article "Losing Matt Shepard: Life and Politics
in the Aftermath of Anti–Gay Murder," Beth Loffreda talks about the outcome of a gay young man
named Matt Shepard being murdered, and how he became lost in the wake of the movement that
followed. Similarly, Jon Krakauer retraces the story of a young man named Chris McCandless who
died in the Alaskan wilderness in his piece "Into the...show more content...
The most intriguing, and challenging to understand, aspect of a person's death is his final
thoughts. That is one bit of information that is impossible for someone to find out no matter how
he researches. A person's final thoughts are the most complex because they are the accumulation
of all of one's life and decisions. One can only wonder what regrets the deceased came up with or
what they might have wanted to do differently. The little details are often the most challenging to
gather, and even when they are gathered they can still be difficult to understand. The experiences
one goes through in life can be hard for another to understand if they have never been through a
similar experience. A challenge arises for writers to try to comprehend what the deceased
experienced in life, and then to convey it so their readers can understand it as well. Even if
immense description is provided, a reader might still not be able to imagine what a certain
experience is like. For example, Matt Shepard was "viciously and repeatedly [beaten] with a .357
Magnum" (Loffreda 368). One can try and imagine how painful that would be, but unless it
happens to the reader, he cannot know what it is like. Chris McCandless had to make his own fire,
catch his food, sleep in the freezing cold, and starve. Most Americans have never had to gather their
own wood and build a fire from scratch lighting it with a single match; they are used to just turning
on the gas to their fireplace

How Will Our Future Be? Essay
How Will Our Future Be?
The way the future is heading seems to be very clear but as before things may change. The time to
come will never reveal itself until it has actually been.
From this point of view I will try to describe the way I see the future coming our way.
One of the major aspects when discussing the future is how will the law be handled and how power
will be dealt with. Will we be able to decide for us self what we want to do with our lives and will
the right of every individual be respected, as written in the constitution. There is no way I could be
forced to believe otherwise. Our society today is made to decide if every citizen in
Denmark should have some sort of card that you used for multiple things. Your...show more content...
The network is so fast you never experience the bottleneck when transferring data like in the old
days. This is a major advantage for the large number of people working from their own homes. They
use a technology called net–meeting if they have to discuss some paperwork over the net. It is
possible to both look at your colleague in the video–chatter and at the same time write in the word–
processor while the other person is watching and commenting. The schools all over the world is
using this technique to exchange information. There is also a separate net called cyber–net. This is
even more advanced than the other net. It is the ultimate cyber–space where you virtually can be
anywhere on the entire planet, and you can even visit the other planets in our solar system. This
net is based on the sophisticated Virtual Reality Nirvana 3D technology. In spite of the wide spread
of computers in all the layers of society it is only the really big companies and their employees that
takes VRN–3D into use. Imagine a world which is like a movie where there only will be good
things, No pain.
In this society year 2096, every one almost is living in the cities from where they control their daily
function. Even the farmers live in the city. They have given up the dirty work and started to maintain
their acres and their stocks from computers. They have agents checking on the cattle 24 hours a day.
They do this by a

The global warming will affect the nations of the world. The forests will disappear because the
water will get polluted. The animals will disappear because they lost their home (the forest) and
their food and water. The global warming will affecthuman life.
In the future, the weather change every day. Sometimes, when you go outside on the street then the
rain will come fast and then stop faster. Sometime, when you watch TV, and then see that outside it
is raining; soon you turn your head to see the weather then its sunshine. In 2050, everybody will not
know the weather is good or not on that day.
The global warming will make the forests disappear. In the future, the water will be polluted. We
all know that plants need water. Many plants can't grow well. The result is all plants death. The
forest will disappear. The world will look like a desert.
In the year 2050, we can't breathe the fresh air on the street. The reason is the global warming
affects the air polluted. Every one needed to wear sunglasses because the sun is too shiny and
bright. Also everyone must bring clear water to go to the street. The reason is the sun is too shiny
and that makes the body easily lose water. We all know that water is so important to thehuman body.
We can survive without eating for three weeks. However, we can't live without drinking water for
three days.
Now, in the year 2050 the temperature of our planet is going up. This is helping to

The Earth Has Vast Oceans
Out of the eight planets in our solar system, Earth is the only planet circling the Sun on which life
as we know it could (and does) exist. Unlike any other planet, the Earth has vast oceans with
millions of small islands in them, green vegetation, huge landmasses, different topographies, like
the mountains, ice caps and deserts, all of which present an amazing variety of color and texture.
be the extremely cold Antarctica, where hardy microscopic beings thrive in ponds, tiny wingless
insects live in patches of moss and lichen, and plants grow and flower yearly or the extremely
warm desert of Sahara plants such as date palms and acacia put down long roots to reach
life–sustaining water or often the seeds of flowering plants sprout quickly after a rain and
complete their growing cycle and producing seeds in a matter of days, before the soil dries out,
one can find some form of life other in almost every ecological niche on earth. From the outer
layers of the atmosphere to the deep sea beds at the bottom of the oceans and from the coldest
poles to the warmest equator, life thrives here. Till date, no convincingly true evidence of life has
been found on any planet. [1] While the Earth has been around for 4.6 billion years and our
ancestors have been around for about six million years, the modern form of humans is claimed to
have evolved only about 200,000 years ago. The present civilization it is only about six thousand
years old, and the industrialization era started in full

America Is The Year 2050
2050 is the year, and nothing is like it was when I was my kids' age. Instead of them playing
outside with friends, they stay inside and play games on their high tech tablets, commuters, and
phones; children have now replaced skateboards with hover boards, and toys with electronics!
My husband, Alex Turner, and I miss the days when people would actually interact with each
other. Nowadays you never see 2 kids playing soccer in the front yard or riding bikes down the
street; all you see is flying cars and motorcycles speeding down the roads. Today talking to virtual
friends is more important than talking to real friends it seems like. When I was young, phones and
social media were still a huge part out our lives, but not like this. America is

SECTION 10
ASSOC. PROF. DR.HANAPI MOHD NOR
1) Explore a question of moral right and it would be addressed by islam and by ethical system based
on secularism.
Islam and Secularism.
Saudi scholars denounce secularism as strictly prohibited in Islamic tradition. The Saudi Arabian
Directorate of Ifta', Preaching and Guidance, has issued a directive decreeing that whoever believes
that there is a guidance (huda) more perfect than that of the Prophet, or that someone else's rule is
better than his is a kafir.
It lists a number of specific tenets which would be regarded as a serious departure from the precepts
of Islam, punishable according...show more content...
It must be mentioned that the concept of secular ethics is not necessarily opposed to or inherently
contrasting with religious ethics. Certain sets of moral beliefs, such as the golden rule or a
commitment to non–violence, could be held by each position and mutually agreed upon. As well, it
must be mentioned that secular ethics have been developed differently given the different times and
different situations faced.
Principles of Secular ethics
Secular ethicists generally share one or more principles: Human beings, through their ability to
empathise, are capable of determining ethical grounds. Human beings, through logic and reason,
are capable of deriving normative principles of behaviour. This may lead to a behaviour preferable
to that propagated or condoned based on religious texts. Alternately, this may lead to the advocacy
of a system of moral principles that a broad group of people, both religious and non–religious, can
agree upon. Human beings have the moral responsibility to ensure that societies and individuals act
based on these ethical principles. Societies should, if at all possible, advance from a less ethical and
just form to a more ethical and just form.
Many of these tenets are applied in the Science of morality, the use of the scientific method to answer
moral questions. Various thinkers have framed morality as questions of empirical truth to be
explored in a scientific context. The science is related to Ethical

The World in 2050
Futurism is an Italian fine arts movement that was founded in 1909. Poet Filippo Tommaso Marinetti
began the movement to celebrate modern technology and to free Italian art from the psychology of
the past. Futurism influenced the 20th century's art and design, which opened doors for the
movements related to sculpture, theater, architecture, fashion, and music. Futurist principles value
the science of computer programming; they believe that computers will make a significant
difference in the world many years from now. With technology improving and reaching immense
heights there is a great wonder about the world in 2050. What is known is there will be a world
completely different in technology and arts, than we are...show more content...
The internet as we know is already accessible almost instantaneously and available on the go and in
the palm of our hands.
The fear that newspapers will soon be obsolete is a common feeling in today's society. On the one
hand, newspapers are expected to supply their content free on the Web. On the other hand, their most
profitable advertising––classifieds––is being lost to sites like Craigslist. And display advertising is
close behind. Meanwhile, there is the blog terror: people are getting their understanding of the world
from random lunatics riffing in their underwear, rather than professional journalists with standards
and passports. It has been said that newspaper circulation in America is the same now as it was in
the early 1970's when the nation's population was drastically smaller.
Analysts have predicted that the trend of more advanced media and technology will cause the
human race to become lazy and obese. With all our wants and needs being at the click of a button
there will be no big need for us to move around and be as active as needed to maintain a healthy
lifestyle. We can look forward with confidence to a considerable degree of freedom from infectious
diseases at a time not too far in the future. Currently our president is working on a method to
provide affordable healthcare to all. NASA has developed a Virtual Collaborative Clinic that
connects medical facilities around the U.S., allowing doctors to manipulate

I Believe Essay
I Believe
I believe that education is the basic foundation of any society, and that the way in which a student
is motivated during their education will inevitably determine their degree of success or failure in
the future. Only after my graduation from high school and my entrance into college did I realize
how significant the role of a teacher really is in relation to the shaping of a society. In their
classrooms, they have the privilege of instructing the individuals who will be the doctors, lawyers,
and teachers of tomorrow. As a teacher, I hope to instill a love of learning in my students that will, in
turn, motivate them to study not only the basic things I have taught them to be important, but also
the things they, as...show more content...
I hope to stimulate my students' minds so that they will be competent individuals ready to face
whatever they may encounter during their life. In order to do this, I feel that students should be
taught basic skills, but should also be strongly encouraged to explore and learn the things that
interest them.
I believe that young students come to school already having a broad base of general knowledge
that they have learned in their home. However, I also believe that, by nature, they have a clean
academic slate and are eager to absorb as much information as can be presented to them in a single
day! It seems that they are eager to learn, and become frustrated easily if they do not understand
concepts. Unfortunately, as they grow older, some become indifferent about learning, and the
teacher's job is balanced between motivating them to learn and actually teaching them the things they
need to learn. Since I plan on teaching at the secondary level, I hope to not enter the classroom being
naГЇve about the nature of students at this particular level. I am aware that many students at the
secondary level do not give nearly enough attention to their schoolwork. For that reason, I am
considering, even now, ways in which I can stimulate my students to want to learn. I plan to use two
educational philosophies to accomplish my goals.
Perennialism urges that

Essay about What is life?
"What is life?" The question has been asked innumerable times but has been answered to the
satisfaction of few. Science is based on the experience that nature gives intelligent answers to
intelligent questions. To senseless questions, nature gives senseless answers – or no answers at all. If
nature has never provided an answer to this question, perhaps something is wrong with the question.
The question is wrong indeed. It has no sense, for life in itself does not exist. No one has seen or
measured life. Life is always linked to material systems; what man sees and measures are living
systems of matter. Life is not a thing to be studied; rather, "being alive" is a quality of some
physical systems.
A look at the living world reveals an...show more content...
The more complex the system, the more complex its qualities. Organs may be built from cells; from
organs may come an individual organism, such as a human being. Individuals in turn may be
combined to form societies or populations, which again have their own rules. At each level of
complexity are new qualities not present in the simpler levels. The study of each level yields new
information for the biologist.
The history of biology has been marked by a penetration into ever smaller dimensions. In the
sixteenth century, Vesalius was dependent on his unaided eyesight for his study of the human body.
In the following century, the optical microscope led to the discovery of many new details of
structure. Marcello Malpighi observed the capillary vessels that complete the cycle of blood
circulation and showed that even such tiny insects as the silkworm have an intricate internal
structure. Anton van Leeuwenhoek described blood cells and the compound eyes of insects. Robert
Hooke described the cellular structure of plants.
As microscopes were improved, more and more details of structure were described. By the
nineteenth century, it was becoming clear that all complex organisms are composed of
semi–independent units called cells. The major structural features of cells were established. Bacteria
were discovered and studied.
In this century, the electron microscope has taken the scientist down to molecular dimensions, and
he has learned to observe with x–rays as

Essay about Feeding the World in 2050
Feeding the World in 2050
The current world population is approximately 7 billion and it is estimated to increase to around 9
billion by the year 2050. However the land area available for growing food doesn't seem to
increase much due to the land degradation. If we don't do anything, this world will be lack of
foods, water and resources which means it will never be the same as now again. So, throughout this
essay, I will be explaining about the causes of these problems and the possible solution to this
problem.
First of all, if this problem doesn't stop, there are possibilities of famine occurring anywhere. Famine,
refers to an extreme lack of food supplies or food access compared to its population and death rate.
One reason that famine...show more content...
However the food shortage can be solved by few ways which is entomophagy, production of meat
directly from the stem cell, genetic modification of plants, growing food using hydroponics
/aeroponics (without soil) and growing algae as a food source. Out of these possible solutions, I
will be explaining about entomophagy. The word, 'Entomophagy' comes from the greek term,
entomos or entomon, defined as insects and 'phagein' defined as eating. If you combine these two
terms, it means to eat the insects. Of course these days, eating insects are rare in developed countries
however insect is still popular as a food for developing countries in Central and South America, Asia
and Africa. Inhabitants of many countries still eat insects for its nutritional value and taste. So in
general, entomophagy doesn't just mean eating bugs, but a lot more than that. The reason I chose
entomophagy as a possible solution is that entomophagy is an efficient way to feed 9 billion of
people and also, it is phrased as a creative and new way of interacting with nature.
According to the Entomological Society of Ameirca, Insects contain about the same about the same
amount of protein but less fats than the original meats and 20 times better food conversion effects
than original meats. Simply meaning that eating insects have a better effect in our body of eating
meat than just eating original meats. Insects are also effective for our body nutrition. For example,
100 grams of

Life In 2050 Essay

  • 1. Life In The 21st Century The world is changing, and changing fast. Earlier we have to catch an auto or bus to reach our destination and now the transportation has become so simple that we can travel from one place to another with ease. Being as an engineer in Metro Services I feel proud to work there because it has solved the transportation problem. While sitting in the metro I saw the streets which were so clean that not even a single paper was thrown away. At Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Losing Matt Shepard Analysis David Mattera Professor Boemo Expository Writing 101: LP December 2, 2008 The Complexity of Simply Dying At first glance, the concept of death seems simple; one tries to live as long as possible, and when the time comes, he goes. However, there is much more to it than that. There is everything that leads to a person's death and there is the aftermath. In her article "Losing Matt Shepard: Life and Politics in the Aftermath of Anti–Gay Murder," Beth Loffreda talks about the outcome of a gay young man named Matt Shepard being murdered, and how he became lost in the wake of the movement that followed. Similarly, Jon Krakauer retraces the story of a young man named Chris McCandless who died in the Alaskan wilderness in his piece "Into the...show more content... The most intriguing, and challenging to understand, aspect of a person's death is his final thoughts. That is one bit of information that is impossible for someone to find out no matter how he researches. A person's final thoughts are the most complex because they are the accumulation of all of one's life and decisions. One can only wonder what regrets the deceased came up with or what they might have wanted to do differently. The little details are often the most challenging to gather, and even when they are gathered they can still be difficult to understand. The experiences one goes through in life can be hard for another to understand if they have never been through a similar experience. A challenge arises for writers to try to comprehend what the deceased experienced in life, and then to convey it so their readers can understand it as well. Even if immense description is provided, a reader might still not be able to imagine what a certain experience is like. For example, Matt Shepard was "viciously and repeatedly [beaten] with a .357 Magnum" (Loffreda 368). One can try and imagine how painful that would be, but unless it happens to the reader, he cannot know what it is like. Chris McCandless had to make his own fire, catch his food, sleep in the freezing cold, and starve. Most Americans have never had to gather their own wood and build a fire from scratch lighting it with a single match; they are used to just turning on the gas to their fireplace Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. How Will Our Future Be? Essay How Will Our Future Be? The way the future is heading seems to be very clear but as before things may change. The time to come will never reveal itself until it has actually been. From this point of view I will try to describe the way I see the future coming our way. One of the major aspects when discussing the future is how will the law be handled and how power will be dealt with. Will we be able to decide for us self what we want to do with our lives and will the right of every individual be respected, as written in the constitution. There is no way I could be forced to believe otherwise. Our society today is made to decide if every citizen in Denmark should have some sort of card that you used for multiple things. Unlike any other planet, the Earth has vast oceans with millions of small islands in them, green vegetation, huge landmasses, different topographies, like the mountains, ice caps and deserts, all of which present an amazing variety of color and texture. be the extremely cold Antarctica, where hardy microscopic beings thrive in ponds, tiny wingless insects live in patches of moss and lichen, and plants grow and flower yearly or the extremely warm desert of Sahara plants such as date palms and acacia put down long roots to reach life–sustaining water or often the seeds of flowering plants sprout quickly after a rain and complete their growing cycle and producing seeds in a matter of days, before the soil dries out, one can find some form of life other in almost every ecological niche on earth. From the outer layers of the atmosphere to the deep sea beds at the bottom of the oceans and from the coldest poles to the warmest equator, life thrives here. Till date, no convincingly true evidence of life has been found on any planet. Saudi scholars denounce secularism as strictly prohibited in Islamic tradition. The Saudi Arabian Directorate of Ifta', Preaching and Guidance, has issued a directive decreeing that whoever believes that there is a guidance (huda) more perfect than that of the Prophet, or that someone else's rule is better than his is a kafir. It lists a number of specific tenets which would be regarded as a serious departure from the precepts of Islam, punishable according...show more content... It must be mentioned that the concept of secular ethics is not necessarily opposed to or inherently contrasting with religious ethics. Certain sets of moral beliefs, such as the golden rule or a commitment to non–violence, could be held by each position and mutually agreed upon. As well, it must be mentioned that secular ethics have been developed differently given the different times and different situations faced. Principles of Secular ethics Secular ethicists generally share one or more principles: Human beings, through their ability to empathise, are capable of determining ethical grounds. Human beings, through logic and reason, are capable of deriving normative principles of behaviour. This may lead to a behaviour preferable to that propagated or condoned based on religious texts. Alternately, this may lead to the advocacy of a system of moral principles that a broad group of people, both religious and non–religious, can agree upon. Human beings have the moral responsibility to ensure that societies and individuals act based on these ethical principles. Societies should, if at all possible, advance from a less ethical and just form to a more ethical and just form. Many of these tenets are applied in the Science of morality, the use of the scientific method to answer moral questions. Various thinkers have framed morality as questions of empirical truth to be

I Believe Essay I Believe I believe that education is the basic foundation of any society, and that the way in which a student is motivated during their education will inevitably determine their degree of success or failure in the future. Only after my graduation from high school and my entrance into college did I realize how significant the role of a teacher really is in relation to the shaping of a society. In their classrooms, they have the privilege of instructing the individuals who will be the doctors, lawyers, and teachers of tomorrow. As a teacher, I hope to instill a love of learning in my students that will, in turn, motivate them to study not only the basic things I have taught them to be important, but also the things they, as...show more content... I hope to stimulate my students' minds so that they will be competent individuals ready to face whatever they may encounter during their life. In order to do this, I feel that students should be taught basic skills, but should also be strongly encouraged to explore and learn the things that interest them. I believe that young students come to school already having a broad base of general knowledge that they have learned in their home. However, I also believe that, by nature, they have a clean academic slate and are eager to absorb as much information as can be presented to them in a single day! It seems that they are eager to learn, and become frustrated easily if they do not understand concepts. Unfortunately, as they grow older, some become indifferent about learning, and the teacher's job is balanced between motivating them to learn and actually teaching them the things they need to learn. Since I plan on teaching at the secondary level, I hope to not enter the classroom being naГЇve about the nature of students at this particular level. I am aware that many students at the secondary level do not give nearly enough attention to their schoolwork. For that reason, I am considering, even now, ways in which I can stimulate my students to want to learn. I plan to use two educational philosophies to accomplish my goals. • 11. Essay about What is life? "What is life?" The question has been asked innumerable times but has been answered to the satisfaction of few. Science is based on the experience that nature gives intelligent answers to intelligent questions. To senseless questions, nature gives senseless answers – or no answers at all. If nature has never provided an answer to this question, perhaps something is wrong with the question. The question is wrong indeed. It has no sense, for life in itself does not exist. No one has seen or measured life. Life is always linked to material systems; what man sees and measures are living systems of matter. Life is not a thing to be studied; rather, "being alive" is a quality of some physical systems. A look at the living world reveals an...show more content... The more complex the system, the more complex its qualities. Organs may be built from cells; from organs may come an individual organism, such as a human being. Individuals in turn may be combined to form societies or populations, which again have their own rules. At each level of complexity are new qualities not present in the simpler levels. The study of each level yields new information for the biologist. The history of biology has been marked by a penetration into ever smaller dimensions. In the sixteenth century, Vesalius was dependent on his unaided eyesight for his study of the human body. In the following century, the optical microscope led to the discovery of many new details of structure. Marcello Malpighi observed the capillary vessels that complete the cycle of blood circulation and showed that even such tiny insects as the silkworm have an intricate internal structure. Anton van Leeuwenhoek described blood cells and the compound eyes of insects. Robert Hooke described the cellular structure of plants. As microscopes were improved, more and more details of structure were described. By the nineteenth century, it was becoming clear that all complex organisms are composed of semi–independent units called cells. The major structural features of cells were established. Bacteria were discovered and studied. In this century, the electron microscope has taken the scientist down to molecular dimensions, and he has learned to observe with x–rays as Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Essay about Feeding the World in 2050 Feeding the World in 2050 The current world population is approximately 7 billion and it is estimated to increase to around 9 billion by the year 2050. However the land area available for growing food doesn't seem to increase much due to the land degradation. If we don't do anything, this world will be lack of foods, water and resources which means it will never be the same as now again. So, throughout this essay, I will be explaining about the causes of these problems and the possible solution to this problem. First of all, if this problem doesn't stop, there are possibilities of famine occurring anywhere. Famine, refers to an extreme lack of food supplies or food access compared to its population and death rate. One reason that famine...show more content... However the food shortage can be solved by few ways which is entomophagy, production of meat directly from the stem cell, genetic modification of plants, growing food using hydroponics /aeroponics (without soil) and growing algae as a food source. Out of these possible solutions, I will be explaining about entomophagy. The word, 'Entomophagy' comes from the greek term, entomos or entomon, defined as insects and 'phagein' defined as eating. If you combine these two terms, it means to eat the insects. Of course these days, eating insects are rare in developed countries however insect is still popular as a food for developing countries in Central and South America, Asia and Africa. Inhabitants of many countries still eat insects for its nutritional value and taste. So in general, entomophagy doesn't just mean eating bugs, but a lot more than that. The reason I chose entomophagy as a possible solution is that entomophagy is an efficient way to feed 9 billion of people and also, it is phrased as a creative and new way of interacting with nature. According to the Entomological Society of Ameirca, Insects contain about the same about the same amount of protein but less fats than the original meats and 20 times better food conversion effects than original meats. Simply meaning that eating insects have a better effect in our body of eating meat than just eating original meats. Insects are also effective for our body nutrition.
