Sander Zwart is a senior researcher in the Sustainable Productivity Enhancement Group at the Africa Rice Center located in Cotonou, Benin. His research interests are in water management, geospatial tools and approaches for crop and ecology mapping, and climate change. After graduating from Wageningen University in 2002 with two MSc titles (Irrigation management and Geoinformation Science), he worked for 8 years at WaterWatch, a company specialised in assessing efficient use of water resources using geospatial technologies.
