Here are the key differences between quantitative and qualitative research in terms of type of logic or reasoning:
- Quantitative research uses deductive reasoning, testing hypotheses through collecting numerical data and subjecting it to statistical analysis. It aims to generalize findings to wider populations.
- Qualitative research uses inductive reasoning, exploring phenomena through collecting non-numerical data like words, images and observations to identify themes and patterns. It aims to develop concepts that help explain social phenomena without generalizing to wider populations.

The main purpose of quantitative research is to quantify the problem by way of generating numerical data that can be transformed into usable statistics. This allows for a macro analysis of trends, attitudes and opinions
Brechtian alienation techniques were used in a community theater performance to distance the audience from emotional engagement with the story. These techniques included having the actors directly address the audience, using minimal props and sets, and presenting the story in an overtly theatrical style. This prevented the audience from passively experiencing the story and instead encouraged critical thinking about its themes. The goal was to use alienation to promote discussion about social issues rather than just evoke an emotional response. Overall, the performance successfully employed Brechtian alienation techniques to engage and educate the community audience.

This document discusses the relationship between chemical reactions and energy changes. It defines a chemical reaction as a chemical change caused by collisions between atoms or molecules. Chemical reactions have reactants that enter the reaction and products that are formed. Equations are used to represent chemical reactions with coefficients indicating quantities. The law of conservation of mass states the total mass is the same for reactants and products. Some reactions are reversible and reach equilibrium. Le Chatelier's principle states that if equilibrium is disturbed the reaction will offset the disturbance. Combination reactions combine substances to form new ones, while decomposition reactions break down compounds.

In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Chagrin Falls, Ohio is often referred to as a bubble town which accurately embodies its nickname.
Having lived in Chagrin my entire life, I reluctantly agree with the Urban Dictionary definitions of
usually a small town where very few events of interest occur or a sheltered and naive place to live,
where youth can t understand the cruelty of the real world because they re too sheltered by their
protective bubble. Reading our weekly town police blotter sheds light that a cat getting locked in a
closet is big news and that this little town in Cuyahoga County is a bit isolated and ignorant to the
outside world. This little town is all about the Friday Night Lights where our high school football team
is the center focus having made multiple visits to the state championship. These facts transpire as the
reason I try to defy this reputation. Despite the influence that one s surroundings can hold over their
life, I believe that this remains easy only with complacency. I have been one of two in my high school
that have participated in nationwide golf tournaments. Incidentally, the second guy became involved
by my lead. In addition, I have also been involved with the local Chagrin Falls Park Community
Center to ignore the bubble that quarantines many people s expectations of themselves. ... Show more

The Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act in 1976 established a basic on which to build
upon for Aboriginal peoples, for the first time, they have the to right to claim land based on their
traditional culture. The Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act was the first attempt by any
Australian Government to legalize the Aboriginal systems and land ownership. This Act allowed for
Aboriginal peoples to practice their traditional ways, which had not been allowed since the white
settlers had come to Australia and taken away that right over 200 years ago. The land that is granted to

4. Autonomic Nervous System
The two divisions of the autonomic nervous system (ANS), sympathetic (SNS) and parasympathetic
(PNS), function in a complementary and integrated manner to maintain homeostasis. The output of the
autonomic nervous system is quick in comparison to the endocrine system functions. In most cases,
these systems have opposite effects, where one initiates a physiological response and the other
inhibits. The nerves of this system regulate vital internal functions which are generally performed
without conscious control (Khan Academy, 2014).
The output of the ANS effects smooth, cardiac muscle and glandular tissue (Betts et al, 2013)
The sympathetic division is associated with the fight or flight response, dominating in stressful

The synapse at the axon terminal of the postganglionic neuron and the target effector cell (in the form
of muscle or gland) uses epinephrine/norepinephrine (adrenaline/noradrenaline) (AK Lectures, 2014)
The parasympathetic division however, is concerned with rest and digest responses and when active,
reverses the effects of the SNS. The PNS system increases blood flow to digestive organs and
excretory system and decreases the blood flow to skeletal tissue (an opposite effect to the SNS) (AK
Lectures, 2014) Salivary secretion is increased and gastric motility is stimulated to facilitate digestion
(McCorry, 2007). The PNS either originates at the start of the spinal cord or at the end (Khan
Academy, 2014). The preganglionic neuron is of long structure and uses acetylcholine to transmit
signals to the shorter postganglionic neuron. The postganglionic neuron continues to use acetylcholine
to transmit to the target effector cell (AK Lectures, 2014)

Food safety is important , millions of people become seriously ill every year by the consumption of
unsafe food. Major outbreaks of food borne disease have been recorded on every continent in the past
10 years and its on the rise. legislation is used to enforce food safety and food standards within the
meat industry as it is an essential part of the legislative framework to cultivate good safety habits in all
individuals, to engender a strong safety culture in the workplace. legislation emphasis s the
importance of managing workplace health and safety proactively and stipulates that every person must
take reasonably practicable steps to ensure the safety and health of every workplace and worker. Most
legislation comes from the European Union (Brussels) where it is passed to Westminster (London) and
then down to Scotland (Edinburgh) some legislation is passed directly from the European union to
Scotland as Scotland in the 1707 the act of union abolished the separate parliaments for Scotland and
England, and created a single parliament in London (The Scottish Government) . However Scotland
still kept many of its features including its separate legal system.

New Learning Opportunities for Adult Learners
The concept of adults as learners emerged both in this country and in Europe shortly after World War
I; however, only in the last few decades has the theory of adult learning matured. Knowles, Tough,
Houle, and Park, among others, have written extensively on the idea of the adult learner. In Tennant s
book (1997), he discussed Knowles adult learning theory. Knowles used the term andragogy to label
adult learning theory. The andragogical model of the adult learner is based on the assumptions that
adults need to know; adults have a need to be self directed learners and have a self concept of being

It is a popular and useful instructional medium for a number of reasons. It is easily accessible, it

instructions are boundless and seems to have the potential to meet the needs of adult learners.
The WWW can provide stimulating material to enhance and enrich the learning experience by using
graphics, sound, video and virtual environments. It supports learning in own space, own pace, and
own time (Henke,1997). It has limitless possibilities of interactive computer multimedia instruction.
The potential benefits include personalized instruction, active learning, instant feedback, real world
simulation, as well as faster and more effective teaching and empowerment of learners (McManus,
1995). With all these benefits, WWW as an instruction delivery medium can indeed enhance learning
and meet the needs of adult learners. In addition, media are not mere vehicles that deliver instruction
but they are important components of the learning process. Studies have shown certain media
attributes are necessary for specific learning tasks, learning situations, and learners characteristics.

7. Modernism In Modern Poetry
Modernism by definition is a style or movement in the arts that aims to depart significantly from
classical and traditional forms . A movement which is undoubtedly a reflection of the fragmented and
collapsing Europe at the beginning of the 20th century, Modernism was a reaction to the world in
which it existed. Subsequent to the overly imaginative and emotive era of Victorianism, Modernism
was indeed a dramatic movement away from the changing values and ideas of the Victorian world.
What Modernist Literature essentially evoked in its audience was a sense of dissolution with the
world, a world which it believed held traditions in literature, art, science, religion, among countless
others, which were seen as incompatible with the current social ... Show more content on

High Modernist Art was essentially born out of a conflated sense of both apocalyptic hopelessness
following The Great War, but also a desperate sense of hopefulness for the future. What is created
from this hope is this panicky search for distraction or higher meaning which we see quite evidently in
The Waste Land . One such section of the poem which demonstrates this search for meaning is in the
first section The Burial of the Dead . Switching between a number of different narrators, this first
section addresses much of the aforementioned devastation and destruction caused after World War
One and the search for meaning which followed it. Beginning with an aristocratic voice, Eliot uses the
first speaker to conjure up a set of memories from a pre war era, set perhaps in the Austro Hungarian
Empire with the speaker bearing some Royal patronage And when we were children, staying at the
arch duke s, My cousin s . Where this search for meaning is seen here is in the speakers overall
disillusionment with a world so far detached from what they had previously existed in. What was once
a time which kept us warm, covering Earth in forgetful snow, feeding a little life with dried tubers ,
now only bears bleakness and severity, made clear through the poem s opening line April is the
cruellest month . The speaker is no doubt lost in a world

response to the recording artist by photographer Jason Seldon. In Swift s letter, she says Apple is
being unfair to recording artists by giving subscribers free access for three months and not pay
recording artists royalties. Seldon s letter is becoming a voice for photojournalism in the 21st century,
saying what so many photographers have faced during what is best described as a rights war with the
music industry.

Normally there is no response from management companies or artists.

likely last longer than the older ones they just are not as fun to drive and tinker around with. The

12. Good Friday and Lent
All About Lent
Q: What is Lent?
A:Historically, Lent is the forty day period before Easter, excluding Sundays, it began on Ash
Wednesday and ended on Holy Saturday (the day before Easter Sunday). In recent years, this has been
modified so that it now ends with evening Mass on Holy Thursday, to prepare the way for Triduum.
Q: Why are Sundays excluded from the reckoning of the forty days?
A: Because Sunday is the day on which Christ arose, making it an inappropriate day to fast and mourn
our sins. On Sunday we must celebrate Christ s resurrection for our salvation. It is Friday on which we
commemorate his death for our sins. The Sundays of the year are days of celebration and the Fridays
of the year are days of penance.
Q: Why are the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the rest of the year Catholics in this country are permitted to use a different act of penance on
Friday in place of abstinence, though all Fridays are days of penance on which we are required to do
something expressing sorrow for our sins, just as Sundays are holy days on which we are required to
worship and celebrate God s great gift of salvation.
Q: Why are acts of repentance appropriate at this time of year?
A: Because it is the time leading up to the commemoration of Our Lord s death for our sins and the
commemoration of his resurrection for our salvation. It is thus especially appropriate to mourn the sins
for which he died. Human have an innate psychological need to mourn tragedies, and our sins are
tragedies of the greatest sort. Due to our fallen nature humans also have a need to have set times in
which to engage in behavior (which is why we have Sundays as a set time to rest and worship, since
we would otherwise be likely to forget to devote sufficient time to rest and worship), it is appropriate
to have set times of repentance. Lent is one of those set times.
Q: What are appropriate activities for ordinary days during Lent?
A: Giving up something we enjoy for Lent, doing of physical or spiritual acts of mercy for others,
prayer, fasting, abstinence, going to confession, and other acts expressing repentance in general.
Q: Is the custom of giving up something for Lent mandatory?
A: No. However, it is a salutary custom, and

13. Education And Student Education
Through my schooling so far, I have learned and read about education and student culture to put
together a general philosophy about what I believe as a teacher. Beginning the middle level education
program, my philosophy has evolved and strengthened based on the uniqueness of young adolescent
needs. I believe that every child can learn and deserves equal opportunity in the classroom. I believe
that young adolescents deserve a curriculum that accommodates whatever need they may have. I
believe that every child deserves a teacher who will advocate for them academically and socially. This
philosophy will continue to evolve as I continue my journey through the program.
Young adolescents between the ages of 10 and 15 are going through numerous personal changes in
types of development. They are at all different stages, so a classroom can vary greatly between
individuals. Thinking patterns often change in middle school. Students begin to start relating things to
their world and lives at a deeper level. Young adolescents face problems such as violence, body image,
health, and drugs. In a school where there is so much the students are being exposed to, it has been
found that it is difficult for them to make healthy decisions that benefit them.
As mentioned previously, young adolescents are at different stages of diverse types of development.
Intellectual development is the young adolescent s reasoning and judgement based on growth from
experience. Many adolescents are in

Indiana, USA. Up to date, she has published 11 journal articles and one printed book (Valparaiso
University, 2015).
This article is taken from the journal titled Information Technology and Libraries (ITAL). ITAL is the
official scholarly peer reviewed journal of the Library and Information Technology Association
(LITA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA). This journal reviews and publishes
articles in the following areas related to library automation, the Internet and other aspects of
information technology (American Library Association, 2015).
The purpose of this study was to examine Content Management System (CMS) usage within the
academic library market and to provide librarians quantitative and qualitative knowledge to help make
decisions when considering switching to, or between, CMSs. (Connell, 2013) The author s purpose
was concisely and clearly stated and was in agreement with the title of the article.
The objectives of this study were four folds, namely to determine (1) the level of saturation of CMSs
in the academic library community; (2) the most popular CMSs within academic libraries, the reasons

17. Essay about Neurotransmitters
Neurotransmitters
Neurotransmitters are chemicals made by neurons and used by them to transmit signals to the other
neurons or non neuronal cells (e.g., skeletal muscle; myocardium, pineal glandular cells) that they
innervate. The neurotransmitters produce their effects by being released into synapses when their
neuron of origin fires (i.e., becomes depolarized) and then attaching to receptors in the membrane of
the post synaptic cells. This causes changes in the fluxes of particular ions across that membrane,
making cells more likely to become depolarized, if the neurotransmitter happens to be excitatory, or
less likely if it is inhibitory.
Neurotransmitters can also produce their effects by modulating the production of other ... Show more

Some dopaminergic (i.e., dopamine releasing) neurons run from the substantia nigra to the corpus
striatum; their loss gives rise to the clinical manifestations of Parkinson s Disease (Korczyn 1994);
others, involved in the rewarding effects of drugs and natural stimuli, run from the mesencephalon to
the nucleunucleus accumbens.
The second neurotransmitter family includes amino acids, compounds that contain both an amino
group (NH2) and a carboxylic acid group (COOH) and which are also the building blocks of peptides
and proteins. The amino acids known to serve as neurotransmitters are glycine, glutamic and aspartic
acids, all present in all proteins, and gamma amino butyric acid (GABA), produced only in brain
neurons. Glutamic acid and GABA are the most abundant neurotransmitters within the central nervous
system, particularly in the cerebral cortex; glutamic acid tends to be excitatory and GABA inhibitory.
Aspartic acid and glycine subserve these functions in the spinal cord (Cooper, Bloom, and Roth 1996).
The third neurotransmitter family is composed of peptides, compounds that contain at least two and
sometimes as many as 100 amino acids. Peptide neurotransmitters are poorly understood: Evidence
that they are, in fact, transmitters tends to be incomplete, and restricted to their location within nerve
terminals, and the physiologic effects produced when they are applied to neurons. Probably the best
understood peptide

19. The Viability of Nuclear Energy Essay
The world as we know today is dependent on energy. The options we have currently enable us to
produce energy economically but at a cost to the environment. As fossil fuel source will be
diminishing over time, other alternatives will be needed. An alternative that is presently utilized is
nuclear energy. Nuclear energy is currently the most efficacious energy source. Every time the word
nuclear is mentioned, the first thought that people have is the devastating effects of nuclear energy.
Granting it does come with its drawbacks; this form of energy emits far less pollution than
conventional power plants. Even though certain disadvantages of nuclear energy are devastating, the
advantages contain even greater rewards.

As a result, numerous countries are creating more nuclear power plants. From the 1990s, the rate of
nuclear power plants constructed increased because of technological and managerial, deregulation,
and safety improvements.
As each year passes, more and more electricity will be made as a result of increased nuclear power
plants around the world. The economic benefits of nuclear energy are equally advantageous as the
environmental aspects.
A competitive, safe and environmentally sustainable energy source can be established anywhere on
earth. Essential, all that is needed to create a nuclear power plant is a water source to cool down the
reactor and uranium. Uranium can be found virtually in every country on earth. Even though it might
be harder for certain countries to obtain uranium, there would be no problem in finding it around the
world. Figure 2. This image illustrates where major reserves of uranium are found on earth.

Provided that countries can acquire uranium, they can create clean and safe energy. Generally nuclear
power stations are safe. The various barriers and numerous safety measures make it very unlikely for
catastrophes to transpire. The most up to date plants have a reactor core failure 1 in 1 million years.
The proposal of building a plant has to be scrutinized intensely so that the barriers and structure ensure

classified on the basis of the causative organism (pyogenic bacteria or mycobacteria), the route,

acute hematogenous osteomyelitis. The bone may be predisposed to infection due to recent trauma.
Especially in times of civil unrest or war or as a complication of surgical procedures such as open
reduction and internal fixation of fractures which is the most common means of bone infection in
children. The long bones are affected most commonly, and the femur and tibia account for
approximately half of the cases. Predisposing factors include poor ... Show more content on

Another function of bones is the storage of certain minerals. Calcium and phosphorus are among the
main minerals being stored. The importance of this storage device helps to regulate mineral balance in
the bloodstream. When the fluctuation of minerals is high, these minerals are stored in bone; when it is
low it will be withdrawn from the bone * Muscular There are three types of muscles cardiac, skeletal,
and smooth. Smooth muscles are used to control the flow of substances within the lumens of hollow
organs, and are not consciously controlled. Skeletal and cardiac muscles have striations that are visible
under a microscope due to the components within their cells. Only skeletal and smooth muscles are
part of the musculoskeletal system and only the skeletal muscles can move the body. Cardiac muscles
are found in the heart and are used only to circulate blood; like the smooth muscles, these muscles are
not under conscious control. Skeletal muscles are attached to bones and arranged in opposing groups
around joints. Muscles are innervated, to communicate nervous energy to, by nerves, which conduct
electrical currents from the central nervous system and cause the muscles to contract. * Tendons A

performance. Then we will look at key factors to estimate the UPS¡¦s market capitalization value using
FedEx¡¦s multiples as well as ¡§best in breed¡¨ company premiums. From this, we concluded that
UPS¡¦s IPO should create a market capitalization for UPS between $17,520 million and $30,415

Also UPS¡¦s decision to operate their ground and express business as one integrated company sharing
the same trucks and sorting centers gave UPS advantage over FedEx. UPS is likely to sustain the
current performance since ground delivery business, which has been growing at a slower rate than
express business is expected to grow faster mainly due to the expansion of Internet shopping which
would provide a boost for the B2C ground business. FedEx has not fared as well as UPS in financial
performances. FedEx¡¦s total revenue has grown 60% from 1996 to 1999 while their net income has
doubled in the same period. FedEx¡¦s acquisition of RPS will challenge UPS for the ground delivery
business and affect the sustainability of UPS¡¦s advantage in the ground deliver business. FedEx has
been competing well in the higher end, high service segment of the package delivery market.
Although, digitations of documents and emergence of electronic signatures is threatening the express
business which FedEx has the advantage over UPS. Analysis If we use FexEx¡¦s multiples as
benchmarks we get an average UPS market capitalization of $17,520 million. Using FedEx¡¦s trailing

Often in many countries Tesco is faced with the legislations to provide jobs to all sets of population
and Tesco specifically employe young students as they are young, provide high quality work and less

b. Economic Factors: This is one of the major sections where Tesco is most ill affected at current
juncture of its growth as crisis has led Tesco to follow retrenchment policy which can hamper
satisfaction among employees and they don t feel motivated. Also the economic slump has had a direct
impact on demands of consumers who want to curtail back on their expenditures which is affecting
Tesco very badly. Economic factors badly influence demand, prices, costs and profits for a firm. Tesco

26. Finding Truth And Finding Peace
This past week we read some very different articles in terms of what they were witnesses to. To me a
witness is someone who tells a story in hopes of finding truth and finding peace. A witness mean
someone who is willing to listen to people tell theirs stories and continue to tell those stories when
other people are no longer able to. While visiting the Africa Burial Grounds going through the
different exhibits, I came across a quote that I believe describes in perfect detail what a witness is. I m
for truth no matter who tells it, I m for justice no matter who it is for or against. I m a human being
first and foremost, and as such I m for whoever and whatever benefits humanity (Malcolm X). I
believe that a witness s job is to tell the truth regardless of whom that truth will affect. We as people
have the obligation to other human beings to be just and tell their stories, and fight for them when they
are not able to. While visit the African Burial Grounds I considered my self to be witness what these
people went through. Throughout the museum there were different stories that depicted tremendous
suffering. There was a particular picture that stood out to me and it was of when African Americans
were taken from Africa to be transported to the United States. The picture showed African Americans
being thrown over board because they were dead, sick, or about to die. In that instance I considered
my self a witness because learning about the slave trade those details were

1.1. Definition
Shape memory alloys (SMA) have attracted much attention in recent years, since they are smart (or
intelligent) materials, as well as functional materials, which already exist. These alloys possess the
characteristics of the shape memory effect (SME) and super elasticity (SE) which are caused by the
martensitic (or displacive) transformation (MT) and its reverse transformation to the parent austenite
phase; we define the characteristic transformation temperatures as follows; Ms: martensite start
temperature upon cooling; Mf: martensite finish
39. Essay on The Arab-Israeli Conflict
There were many factors which contributed to the wars between the Arabs and Israelis in 1956, 1967
and 1973. One of which was President Nasser s personality.
In the 1950 s a new president, Gamal Abdul Nasser, came to power in Egypt. President Nasser had a
very strong and determined character and was very eager to get revenge on the Israelis for the 1948
war, which Egypt lost. President Nasser wanted to get Palestine back into the Arab control and to do
this he had to unite the Arab world under his control. In order to get what he wanted Nasser needed
money and arms.
Czechoslovakia was giving aid in the form of money and weaponry to the Egyptians. The reason they
did this was because they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
President Nasser also persuaded King Hussein of Jordan to help the Fedayeen by allowing them to go
through Jordanian territory, to carry out their attacks.
The west were frightened of losing their influence in the Middle East and thus they, along with Israel,
decided to make a joint attack on Egypt.
This factor therefore led to great conflicts between the Arabs and Israelis.
b) Choose one factor which you think was the most important in causing the war. (9 marks)
From the list of factors given, I consider that the Russian foreign policy was the most important in
causing the wars in 1956, 1967 and 1973 between the Arab s and Israelis.
During the Arab Israeli conflict, the world s two greatest super powers , USA and the USSR were in a
cold war against each other. Since they were bitter enemies, it is evident that once the USSR found out
that the USA were helping Israel in the war, it decided to help the Arabs in rivalry.
The Suez Sinai war in 1956 was when the USSR first helped the Arabs by providing them with
military arms and equipment. Since Czechoslovakia was under the influence of the USSR and it was
the main country to provide the Arab world with fighter planes, warships, bombers, tanks and guns, it
was seen as though the USSR were directly providing help for the Arabs. It can be seen that without
all the USSR s military

40. A Brief View Of The History Of Marijuana Legalization Essay
The legalization of marijuana is, and has been a heavily disputed issue for decades. On one hand,
marijuana could lead to a medical breakthrough, or at least provide relief to cancer and AIDS patients.
On the other hand, legalizing a drug could expose it to too broad an audience. As a drug, marijuana
has never proven to be anywhere near as harmful as cigarettes or alcohol. Each year in the United
States, 400,000 people die from tobacco, 50,000 from alcohol, and from marijuana, zero. Regardless
of what side one may take to this argument, there are some causes to this marijuana debate that
everyone should know. Marijuana was not always illegal, and the reasons behind the history of
narcotic regulation are interesting when viewed from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In more recent history, the late 1900 s were filled with important decisions by politicians regarding
marijuana. During the Kennedy administration in the 1960 s, Vietnam was a major issue, and the
public, especially college students, turned to marijuana as a form of dissent. As this happened,
enforcement lessened; courts dismissed marijuana charges or imposed only modest fines. (Gerber) In
1960, there were only 169 marijuana related convictions in the entire United States. During this time,
marijuana was seen more as an escape and protest. Time Magazine saw marijuana use as an attention
worthy means of protest. (Time) Crime rates did not rise, and no major health problems had appeared
to be caused by the drug. The 1962 White House Conference on Drug Abuse concluded that there was
only weak evidence indicating that marijuana leads to using harder drugs. (Eldridge) At that point in
time, it almost seems as if we were the closest we ve ever been as a nation to decriminalizing the drug.
By the 1970 s, however, the war on drugs took a turn towards the more conservative end of the
spectrum. The Nixon administration chose to attribute crime to drug use; Nixon personally disliked all
illegal drugs, and convinced Americans that if more arrests were made on drug related charges the
crime rates would go down. It is almost unbelievable that the drug has been unable to shake this
stigma. Compared to the policies Nixon introduced, policies nowadays are even

In 1919, the Rowlatt Act gave extensive powers to the British government and police, and allowed

Recidivism. We have heard that word over and over and yet we seem to find ourselves with the same
problem, the overcrowding of jails, or even individuals reoffending. In many ways, people believe that
punishing for a crime does not work and one of the most effective ways to prevent individuals from re
offending is simple, rehabilitation. Throughout the following essay we will be discussing a particular
drug offense and consider a type of rehabilitation program in which would best serve that particular
offender. In Arizona, like many other states they have taken drug use as a serious manner. By enacting
laws such as even prohibiting drug paraphernalia. Under the Arizona Revised Statue 13 345, states

History:
The law required the government to negotiate the removal treaties voluntarily, Peacefully, and fairly. It
did not allow the president or anyone else to force the Native nations into giving up their land.
However, President Jackson generally ignored the law and forced Native Americans to abandon lands.
In the winter of 1831, under threat of raid by the U.S. Army, the Choctaw became the first nation to be
dislodged from their land altogether. They made the long and treacherous journey to Indian territory
on foot (some marched in a consecutive line while being bound in chains, one historian writes) and the
native would go without any food, supplies or help from the government. Thousands of people died on

44. Analysis Of You And I Are Disappearing By Jusef Komunyakaa
It Is A Little Bit Deeper Than That Jusef Komunyakaa s poem You and I Are Disappearing is about an
experience in which the author was helplessly looking at a village girl getting devoured by flames that
were caused by a firebomb called napalm. Within the context of the gruesome of war, the author puts
down in words the vivid images of both the civilian and the soldier during the Vietnam War. While the
village girl was engulfed by the flames, causing her physical pain, the soldier was also powerless in
watching her burn. Years after the war, the speaker recalls how he still sees a girl burning in his head
(Komunyakaa 2). A truth claim that can be drawn from this poem is that both the civilians and the
soldiers are victims of war. I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ut himself was the one who put Phuc into the van for emergency medical help along with the other
Vietnamese soldiers, and he saw that Phuc s burnt skin [was] raw and peeling off her body as they
were moving her ( Vietnam War s Napalm Girl Kim... ). Phuc suffered serious burns over one third of
her body. As told by Ut, the napalm was on Kim for so long that it was burning her skins and her
nerves. Due to the permanent nerves damaged, Phuc will always live with the persistent pain and the
unwanted thick scar will forever be part of her. Decades after the war, the napalm is still burning her.
Phuc still feels the pain. In the poem, the author uses similes to describe the burning village girl and
how napalm was hurting her just like Kim was. In over three fourths of the poem, the author used
similes to portray the way she was being tortured by the firebomb. Komunyakaa used similes such as
like a piece of paper, like a cattail torch dipped in gasoline, like a shot glass of vodka, and like oil on
water to show the readers that the village girl was being burn by napalm very intensely
(Komunyakaa). The author specifically used words such as gasoline, vodka, or oil, because all of these
substances are known for being very flammable. They are the fuel to the fire, and they get consume as
the fire burns. The author wants to show that the village girl is the fuel just like these substances and
she is being consumed by the fire. She is disappearing. Research and data

335 of the Civil Code.
The words used in paragraph (1) of Article 335 of the Civil Code, in enumerating the persons who
cannot adopt, are clear and unambiguous. When the New Civil Code was adopted, it changed the word
descendant, found in the Spanish Civil Code to which the New Civil Code was patterned, to children.
The children thus mentioned have a clearly defined meaning in law and do not include grandchildren.
In the present case, Roderick and Rommel Daoang, the grandchildren of Antero Agonoy and Amanda
Ramos Agonoy, cannot assail the adoption of Quirino Bonilla and Wilson Marcos by the Agonoys.
Therefore, the general rule is that only statutes with an ambiguous or doubtful meaning may be the
subjects of statutory construction.

immediately preceding a regular local election . Hence, It is a rule in statutory construction that every

Having long, healthy hair could possibly be one of the envied genes amongst women. Many women

hair. Although, those methods have been proven to work, there are many other less invasive methods
available for obtaining beautiful hair. The use of hair extensions have become a popular trend in today
s society. Many celebrities, TV personalities and even politicians have owned up to adding a few hair
extensions here and there. Hair extensions can be used to add length and volume to thin, short and

The most common method of creating a base for a whole head weave is to braid the hair in cornrows
from the front to the back, while leaving out a small section at the top to cover the tracks. However,
this method can not be done for a partial hair weave. To complete a partial sew in you would need to
braid the area of hair that will hold the extensions in a side to side pattern.
Step 2 After the base has been made, you will need to sew the remaining ends of the cornrow on to it.
Start by threading the needle. You would do this by inserting the thread through the eye of the needle.
Once you have that completed fold the thread in two and measure out approximately 18 inches. At the
end, tie the two pieces together in a knot.
Step 3
Fold the end of the braid on top of the cornrow and sew it down using a basic stitch method. Once you
have reached the end of the braid you should make a knot to keep it from coming undone.
Step 4
Open the pack of hair extensions and comb out any knots or tangles pay special attention to any
rubber bands or pins used to keep the hair together.
Step 5
Next you will have to locate the weft on the hair extension. The weft is the sturdy area at the top of the
extension. This is where the hair has been looped together with thread. It resembles a seam.
Step 6
Once the weft has been located, you will then need to lay the extension on top of the cornrow to
measure the length of the braid. Once the length

order. The divine order and harmony of the universe further support Aquinas s argument. The
intelligent designer is the final cause of all things. Psalm 19:3 4 makes a valid point as well. It states,
There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the
earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun. [18] These
two verses also discredits Hume s argument by saying the universe has no creative attributes of an
intelligent designer. Though, the universe cannot speak with a voice, they speak without using words.
God s power is revealed and proclaimed through heavens presentence. Not only is God s attributes

World War II ended in 1945, but America could not rest. Serious discussion about reorganization
began in Congress and the military department in 1944 and aroused much public interest (Trask 1997).
Because the Air Force played such a large role, discussion of separating the Air Force from the Army
Air Forces (AAF) began. A proposal was created to establish one department for the United States
Armed Forces, combining all the military branches under one department. On 19 December 1945,
President Truman sent a message to Congress recommending a single department of national defense

The National Security Act of 1947 not only created the CIA, but it also separated the Air Force from
the United States Army Air Forces (AAF). This act established a new Department of the Air Force and
the U.S. Air Force (Trask 1997). The importance of National Security in the 1940s was still present
during President Regan s administration in the 1980s. To strengthen strategic deterrence, President
Reagan revived the B 1 advanced bomber and approved acquisition of the B 2 stealth bomber (Trest
1998). The United States Air Force has adapted since the Cold War era since there is no longer a need
for such a large force. The modern United States Air Force has aircraft designed to destroy air and
ground targets, and their cargo aircraft can be used to support humanitarian aid across the globe. The
United States Air Force is an active component of the United States Cyber Command and combating
cyber attacks against America. The Air Force has created a Reconnaissance Squadron that operates
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). The United States Air Force has been involved in the Korean War,
Vietnam War, Gulf War, and is still active in the Global War on Terrorism.
The National Security Act of 1947 created a cabinet level, civilian Secretary of Defense to preside
