Care Study Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of "Care Study" can present several challenges. Firstly, the breadth
of the topic itself requires careful consideration to narrow down to a specific aspect or case
study within the field of care. This necessitates thorough research to ensure a comprehensive
understanding of the chosen subject matter.
Secondly, crafting an essay on this topic demands a balance between theoretical frameworks and
practical applications. It's essential to incorporate relevant theories, models, and concepts while
also providing real-world examples or case studies to illustrate the points effectively.
Additionally, addressing the complexities of care involves exploring various perspectives,
including ethical, social, cultural, and psychological dimensions. This requires critical thinking
and analytical skills to evaluate different viewpoints and present a well-rounded discussion.
Moreover, the sensitivity of the topic requires a thoughtful and empathetic approach. Care
involves human relationships and emotions, so it's crucial to handle the subject matter with
respect and empathy, particularly when discussing personal experiences or case studies.
Furthermore, organizing the essay structure can be challenging, as it needs to flow logically from
introduction to conclusion while addressing the key aspects of care without becoming disjointed
or overwhelming for the reader.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Care Study" demands meticulous research,
critical thinking, empathy, and effective organization. It's a task that requires careful attention to
detail and a deep understanding of the complexities involved in the field of care.

Weight Training Workout Program
If you want to really concentrate on body building, weight training is an important
part of your workout program. Weight training in body building is a very huge part
of any exercise regimen, but itГs not the only part. However, when you have a strong
weight training plan, your body building goals become easier to achieve.
In order to work certain muscle groups, you need to lift weights that will provide
resistance to those areas. As you start your weight training body building program,
remember to start small and work your way up. That means start out with a weight
that is difficult to lift, but you are able to do it with some effort. As that weight gets
easier to lift, add more. The idea is to build up slowly so you donГt risk injury
Life Sketch for a Funeral
My dad married his high school sweetheart, Lisa Malee Erickson, on February 5,
1993. He had joined the Army Reserve and left soon after they were married to
attend basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri. I m his first daughter,
Christine Brianne Hill. I was born May 26, 1993, while he was in training. Daddy
was given leave to come home and see his new baby daughter, but had to return just
two days later. He completed his training two months later and returned to his wife
and baby. He adored Christine and would not be without her. I was looking at
pictures and talking to my mom, she said she remembers him sleeping with Christine
on his chest. (Insert letter from Ryan to Christine) Dad was always very supportive

They loved to camp together. It became a family tradition to camp in Zion s National
Park over Easter and then drive into St. George for the annual Easter egg hunt.
It was around this time that Ryan got very interested in food. We can all remember
the strange things he liked to eat, like oysters and Kipper Snacks. He loved
Tabasco sauce and would add it to everything, seriously everything. But, he not
only liked to eat food, he loved to cook it. He had become an amazing cook. He
made turkey and oyster dressing for the Hill Family Thanksgiving a couple of
years ago and raised the bar for all Thanksgivings to come. He regularly cooked
prime rib dinner for the Erickson family on Christmas Eve. Lisa said he could
spend 25 minutes picking out a steak. He loved to cook, but he especially loved to
cook for his siblings. While Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Ryan and Aunt Megan and
Uncle Shawn were attending BYU, Ryan would invite them over regularly for
Sunday dinner and a game of Sequence, until I decided to choke on a game piece,
and dad had to stick his finger down my throat to make me throw up. We will miss
his good cooking.
Ryan started working for PMG in 2002. This was the start of a very successful
career in sales. He quickly moved up and became the top salesperson at the
company, which later changed its name to Prosper. Most recently, he was leading a
sales team at Property23. He was good at what he did
Milkweed Inhumanity Quotes
In the book, Milkweed shows a theme of compassion versus inhumanity several
ways. Milkweed show the theme compassion versus inhumanity. They were beaten
by clubs, kicked out of their own homes, hanged, bombed and painted by the
Jackboots. Milkweed tells the reader the things Misha and other characters have
been mistreated by the inhuman Jackboots In a scene of Milkweed the Jackboots
pressure hosed a jew because, they thought he took the hoof of the horse on the
Merry go round. On Page 67 it states: Someone noosed another rope around his
neck. Someone else ripped of his clothes. They stopped ten meters from the
shrinking man of eyes and pointed the hose at him. Water leaped out. The hose
flew out of the Jackboots hands and whipped wildly about like a sliced worm. This
quote shows how cruel the Jackboots were. Imagine yourself being in public rope
around neck, no clothes on, and being hosed down by water hosed. Notice that it
says the hose flew out of the Jackboots hand that means that the water has a lot of
pressure. This is all because the Jackboots think he did it because he s a jew.... Show

What makes it worst is that their putting them in the ghetto because they don t like
them. The Jackboots put the jew in the ghetto to starve and die. The jew had to
stay in the ghetto and could not come out if they did they would be killed. In the
following chapters it tells how Misha is sneaky and goes threw a two brick
opening to go out and get food for him and the Milgrom s. When Misha goes to get
food he doesn t get caught. It s amazing that during the time Jackboots are torturing
the jews, Misha has the audacity to go outside the walls of the ghetto and get after
Compare And Contrast The Indian Camp And The Doctor s
Wife
Ernest Hemingway was a writer who captured the spirit of his generation.
Hemingway wrote The Indian Camp and The Doctor and the Doctor s Wife .
Indian Camp is a story about a boy named Nick and his father who went to the
Indian Camp to help deliver the baby. While there they witnessed the baby s father
commit suicide. This sparked Nick s curiosity with death. Both stories detail Nick
s coming of age into adulthood. In the Doctor and the Doctor s Wife Nick s father
wants Dick, Eddy, and Billy to go cut up the wood that is on the beach but Dick tries
to tell him that it would by considered stealing because the logs belong to the Magic
crew. Ernest Hemingways short storyIndian Camp and The Doctor and the Doctor s

An Indian woman had been in labor for 2 days, and was in pain and screaming.
While the woman helped her the men went off. The man had moved off up the
road to sit in the dark and smoke out of range of the noise she made. (92) This is
sexism because they left the women to care for the Indian woman that was having
a baby. They think it is for women to care for her and did not help at all. Instead
they tried to go far away so they didn t even have to listen to her pain. Also sexism
is in the article Forget the Legend and Read the Work by Margaret Bauer. Therefore
not only do I not dispute the opinion that the woman in labor is a mere prop in
Indian Camp, but also I defend Hemingway s using her as a vehicle toward Nick s
potential development and a means of revealing Nick s fathers callousness.
Discussing the issue that women in much of Hemingway s work are not very
important of and by themselves (Bauer 2). In the Doctor and the Doctor s Wife,
sexism is portrayed by Hemingway when he describes the interaction between the
wife and the doctor. He leaves her without answering her questions and goes off to
hunt with his son. Hemingway can be determined as a sexist by the way he
portrays the women in his stories as weak and inferior to men. Some people
believe that sexism was part of Hemingway s life because he was married 4 times
and had many mistresses and because of this and the way that he writes he is
viewed as a sexist. An example of masculinity versus femininity in the Doctor and
the Doctor s Wife is shown when the doctor is cleaning his shot gun and the wife
says you didn t say anything to anger him did you? and the doctor replies no . This
implies that the wife is weak because she does not want a confrontation. Nick
chooses to go with his father because he wants to be seen as a man and like his
father. The doctor wants to feel like a tough man but walks away from Dick s
Advantages And Disadvantages Of Playing Laptop
A catchy article that was submitted by Phil Reusch on the 20th September 2010,
titled What are the Disadvantages of using a gaming laptop? concerns deeply about
the inconvenience things that may come about if we are having a gaming laptop,
rather than having any kind of common laptop. Like we can see in our daily life,
people who likely or tend to play games commonly have a desire to own a gaming
laptop, since gaming laptop could runs various updated programs that common
laptop doesn t do it as best as gaming laptop, Phil discussed. Besides that, Phil
Reusch also pointed more about its negative effects about having those gaming
laptops. This article probably focused more to the persons who are about to have

For instance is that the battery couldn t last so long and it is insignificant because
it runs to many complex and various program, not that only common program that
usual laptop does, but in gaming laptop it rather needs high end resolution which
make the gaming laptop program need to runs more and thus it needs more energy.
But here in the article Phil said, because of the fairly worthless battery life, we ll
be stuck near a plug. I quiet disagree with it since even if we need a plug, how far
the plug would it be since the cable will be long enough to reach. Different
condition if we are talking about somewhere with no plug. That s quiet cranky too
since will we really going to play games even in places with no plug? We can easily
imagine how those place condition is and I assumed it is totally impossible to
busy ourselves by playing games. Then in other side, Phil discussed about the
weight which is making more burden. I agree with this since in fact the program
and the hardware itself are much thicker than usual laptop. This is also a problem
for anyone who about to carry it everywhere they go. And yes, not only its laptop
we re going to carry, but also it s complementary; like battery charger, mouse, disc,
and other accessories like headset incase. The other disadvantage is

Swisher Mower
Situation Audit
Swisher Mower is a lawn and garden company that manufacturers lawn mowers in
its plant in Warrensburg, Missouri. The company s flagship product is the Ride
King. In 1996, Swisher was approached by a national merchandise retailer offering to
distribute Swisher s standard mower under a private label. The retailer offered to
distribute the product line, but included several stipulations that would change the
Swisher s distribution methods of its product. Sales within the industry are
predominantly determined by changes within the economy. If the economy weakens,
overall sales within the industry decrease. This cyclical effect can hinder or expand
sales for a company, causing many companies to adjust their business strategies. ...

Wisher primarily distributes its mowers in farm supply stores and hardware stores
located outside metropolitan areas. 75% of the company s sales come from rural
areas, while 30% of sales regenerated from wholesalers and 20% from dealer sales.
Much of the company s brand awareness comes from co op advertising through all
sources of media. Swisher s target markets are the Midwest and Southeast, where
the Ride King and their private label Big Mow are primarily distributed. The
company focuses sales on consumers with over an acre of land, as well as farmers
with several hundred acres. The Ride King has a distinct advantage over its
competitors, since it is the only mower that has one front wheel that can turn the
mower 360 degrees without shifting. As the economy improves, Swisher can take
advantage of increasing sales by selling more of its mowers in large retailers. Its
retail price would make it the cheapest product on the market. As other brands have
distributed their mowers under private labels to the growing mass merchandisers,
Swisher s sales could be quickly depleted. In order for Swisher to fully compete, it
must be able to gain market share on other private label brands. Many of its
competitors have an advantage, because they use front engine mowers, while the
Ride King does not. With other manufacturers selling their mowers in the same
locations as Swisher, Swisher must create more brand awareness within urban areas

The South Texas Ecosystems Essay
In south Texas there are several types of ecosystems one of those ecosystems are the
dunes. South Texas dunes are found along the Texas coastline and the general abiotic
conditions are sandy soil, high salt content, some fresh water, flooding in the
occasion of severe storms and moisture from rain and waves. Sea Oats and Bitter
Pancum are two types of plants that dominate the South Texas dunes. Bitter Pancum
adaptation for living in this type of ecosystemis that they are tolerant to high salinity.
Sea Oats are less tolerant to high salt but their adaptation is to grow rapidly. Some
common animal species that live in the dunes are crabs, which are tolerant to high
salt water, gulls, and terns feed on crabs and other species around the... Show more

Human activities pose a threat to Seagrass beds because of boating, stepping on the
seagrass, which damage the root system, dredging, pollution and construction
practices.
Mangrove Forest is another type of ecosystem in South Texas. Mangrove Forests are
found along the coast in salty waters and the general abiotic conditions are high
salinity flooded soils, low wave energy, high temperatures, and muddy soils. Black
Mangrove and Buttonwood are the dominant plant species in South Texas
Mangrove Forest ecosystem. Buttonwood is adapted to this ecosystem because it
resides inland where there is less salty conditions. Black Mangrove is adapted to
sandy salty clay soil and requires protection from wave action and they are
sensitive to cold weather. Some common animal species that live in Mangrove
Forests are many species of fish, crabs, mollusks, and birds. Mangrove forests
provide a habitat, shelter, and nursery to these species that reside in this ecosystem.
Mangrove forest serve as a coastal protection from severe storms and hurricanes also
help remove pollutants and erosion. The economic importance of Mangrove forest is
that they support fisheries, water purification, tourism, and coastal protection. Human
activities pose a threat to Mangrove Forests because of the removal of some
mangroves, boat waves, oil spills, dredging, draining, and diking.
A fourth type of ecosystem is the coastal prairie. Coastal prairies are found along the
gulf coast
Consequences Of Pollution
People have heard of pollution, but what some don t know is that there are many
types of pollution. Pollution can have different consequences depending on what
kind there is. In the world so far there are only nine types of pollution that have been
recognized. Although this can be negative to the world it s also affecting the health of
people as well. In order to understand what pollutioncan do to you and the world you
need to know the types that are causing the harm.
The first type is air pollution. This type can be harm to the world by contaminating
the atmosphere. It can come in matter like dust or excessive gases such as carbon
dioxide or vapors that can t be removed through nature that not even the cycles can
remove them such as the carbon cycle and the nitrogen cycle. Vehicles, forest fires,
volcanic eruptions, dry soil erosion, building construction or demolition and other
natural sources are another cause of air pollution. Although there isn t much of
volcanic eruptions or dry soil erosions those are the ones that seem to be the most
dangerous for other parts of the world while the rest are more common. Study
shows that science prove that they believe global warming is also a way to increase
the air pollution. The largest source of nitrogen is in the atmosphere. Without
nitrogen in the atmosphere the crops can be lost and would affect farmers. If the
farmers are affected there won t be as much crop production to be sold anywhere and
the government would have to
Frederick Douglass Earthquake Madness
Earthquake Madness It is not light that we need, but fire; It is not the gentle shower,
but the thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake . This quote
was written by Frederick Douglass. Every year, more than three million earthquakes
take place. Most of these unnoticed by humans. In addition, a severe earthquakeis the
most frightening and catastrophic event of nature, which can occur anywhere on the
surface of the planet. An earthquake happens which causes cracks in the ground. The
cracks open wide from the pressure of the buildings. Then the buildings fall through;
with people left with no home, work, etc. An earthquake also causes the ground to

Myths are made to tell to children and usually there is a lesson or story the myth
teaches. Another Myth is called Shiva and the Sacrifice. Shiva s father in law held
a sacrifice for the gods, all of the gods were inited but only Shiva was not invited.
Shiva got very angry being left out from the sacrifice that he and some servants of
his world attack the ceremony. They ate all the priests and threw blood on the
priests. While doing this, a drop a sweat fell onto earth and formed disease. Brahma
then promised Shiva could take part in all future sacrifices, in return Shiva made
disease into many ailments, this would trouble the humans and animals
(mythencyclopedia.com,1). This myth was created to show how Hindus believe
disease came into this world and how something you do can negatively affect other
people. The afterlife Hindus believe in is much different but unique from other
beliefs. Hindu s believe life is cyclical. This means that they do not just die once but
are reborn
News Station Bias Essay
Do you watch Fox news,CNN,or MSNBC,and they have changed your mind about
something? Well than that news station must be biased. When a news station is
biased they show favoritism towards a party, religion, cause, etc. When people are
biased they alter the minds of the people. Our society runs on respect so when news
stations are biased they affect our community in bad ways.Although when they use
certain techniques and are honest they help our society run . In the news the
anchors and writers disrespect the citizens by altering facts or avoiding certain
topics. In an article Brent Bozell states That the media was hounding Mitt Romney
while letting President Obama of the hook. (Bonzell,2014) This shows disrespect
because they are in favor of Obama so they go soft, and on the other hand they do
not like Romney so the try to make him look bad to lose the election. With the media

Sports Education of Today In today s society children are increasingly becoming
less active. Lack of physical activity in childhood leads to obesity, can increase one
s risk for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, asthma, arthritis, and poor
health status. Physical inactivity also increases one s risk for dying prematurely,
dying of heart disease, and colon cancer. Technology and video games have
become a major factor in this and have seemed to take over and control lives of
many children. Less children are involved with sports and few play outside. The
lack of physical activity as a child, can pay huge dividends in the child s health, into
his/her adulthood. Lack of exercise for children can have many negative effects. In...

The young people in today s society have open minds and base majority of what
they see on the rest of the world. Their experience is directly influenced by the
specifics of the still unknown world of nature (Christian Corina, 2016). One
particular group took some students on a camping trip where they taught students
and focused on nature, and showed that there is more to life than just technology
and video games. On the first day all children are involved in cleaning the area
around the tents of broken and dry twigs, collect them and arrange for the needs of
the remaining days of the camping trip. This and many other activities, helped the
children expand their minds and also showed them that they could have just as
much fun outside, as they do playing video games inside. By being outside they are
getting some form of physical activity by moving around and being active (llieva,
2016). In the modern schools, too many elementary schools are so centered
academics and don t focus on the well being of the students. The school systems
also don t realize that physical activity can help students perform better in the
classrooms. In the recent years, there has been a worldwide tendency to reduce
school based physical education in favor of academic subjects. Given the beneficial
effects of exercise and the disadvantages of a sedentary lifestyle, cutbacks in
physical education lessons are not near as productive as people think. Systematic

Chapter 1-4 Summary Chapter 4
Turkle introduces Chapter Eight by explaining an experiment conducted by faculty
and students at MIT in which students are connected to technology that connects
them to real and online life simultaneously, making them cyborgs . Now that it is
commonplace for most people in our society to have constant access to technology
with similar and vaster capabilities, we have all become cyborgs. Turkle believes
our ability to constantly connect to the online world changes who we are by
rearranging our priorities, our relationship with those around us, and how we connect
with our surroundings. People adore the new devices as well as the feelingthat they
are never truly alone. This constant access has unleashed multitudinous opportunities

Since devices are always readily available people no longer make conscious
choices to communicate, they just do. The online world takes up all of our
attention. This constant connection skews our view of reality. In the online world,
anything is possible but people begin to measure their success in reality by what
would be possible if they were always online. People shaped in a world of quick
responses measure success by the number of people they reached that day. We deny
ourselves downtime in order to have more time for communicating. Constant
communication takes the importance out of what we say. We often worry that our
emails and texts are a burden. They have always seemed destined to be thrown
away. Because of this, we treat people we meet online as objects. Constantly keeping
up with connections changes who we are in the morning. Our cultural forms are
shifting. Networking makes it easier to change your identity, but also harder to leave
the past in the past. Turkle closes the chapter by recalling a conversation with a
student who is exhausted by keeping up with online
The Effects Of Stress On The Workplace
Life is full of frustrations, deadlines, and demands. Stress isn t always bad, many
times it can help people while they are performing under pressure since it will
motivate them to do their best. Scientists use the term stress to refer to any force that
impairs the balance of bodily functions. From this definition, the definition of job
stresswas formed. Job stress can be defined as the harmful physical and emotional
responses that occur when the requirements of the job do not match the needs of the
worker. When stress begins to become overwhelming it can cause damage in
relationships, health, and quality of life. People can protect themselves by
recognizing the symptoms of stress. Numerous studies have shown that job stress is

When a person faces any danger the nervous system will automatically send a
signal to the brain that makes all body functions want to flee away; known as flight
or flee reaction. This stage is known as the alarm stage and this type of stress can be
due to an actual event such as an accident. The alarm stage gives people extra
strength to defend themselves. However, staying in the alarm stage can lead to the
second phase of stress known as resistance. During this stage the body tends to get
tense, tired, along with a weaker immune system. People will begin smoking and
drinking to come out of the stress. The reactions to this phase are anxiety, memory
loss, overreacting, and depression. When stress continues beyond the second stage
then exhaustion will settle in. During this phase the adaptive mechanisms will
collapse and there are many extreme complications that will result if this phase
continues (Stages of Stress). Stress that occurs in the workplace is normal, however
excessive stress can interfere with productivity and emotional health. People can t
always control everything in their work environment and many people are often
stuck in tough situations. Any job can be stressful and in the short term people may
experience pressure to meet a deadline or to complete a task. There are four types of
stress that occur at work and they include: Time stress, anticipatory stress, situational
stress, and encounter stress. Time stress is when

Abstract:
Polarimetric imaging is an emerging technique that uses polarized generated light to

scattering intensities images with different optical states of different seven and
different four independent variables. Polarimetric imaging is an new emerging
technique that uses polarized light to probe the acceptance of the tissue with the
different predefined independent variable states. A polar decomposition technique
reveals the polarization parameters of the soft matter breast tissue effectively. It is

Political Socialization Paper
Political socialization the process in which people create and form new ideas that
are mainly about politics and make assumptions about political points in today s
society. This is important because, in reality people are able form ideas about
political standing points, and socialize about them with friends, family members,
professors, and as well as in classes. I personally found that one family members, my
uncle, that always talk about politicshas influenced me to discover more information
towards government perspectives, and economic views. By doing this I can
understand what in today s society is happening because why wouldn t you want to
know what going on because changes that the government makes can impact the way
we do our daily routines. For example in the sociologytextbook there was one
example that talked about how the government has power and authority in the
decision that you make. The government tells you what kind of gasoline to put in
your car and they control how fast you can drive. This is just one in probably

acquiring the education and degree I would need for free without the risk of putting
myself in debt. This is what I find affecting my education achievements and financial

Pitbull And Human Behavior Analysis
The words Pitbull or Mastiff or even Rottweiler can often cause the ordinary to pull
up their lip, or to gasp. Many times I use the word Pitbull and an immediate
response is something along the lines of aggressive dogs or dangerous animals , but
I ve never believed that to be the case.
In October of 2014, my mom andI had begun to discuss adding a fur baby to out
family. We had the original intent of getting a Rottweiler, a sweet dogwith a big bark.
Of course, things don t always go as we intend them too. A different breed was
immediately pushed on us when we mentioned we wanted someone protective, but
still sweet.

Comparing The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas And

The short story, The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas, by Ursula K. Le Guin is
about a Utopian society that is dependent on the suffering of a young child. Le
Guin uses symbolism of the young child and the people who leave to support the
theme of morality. Musicians write about morality a lot in their songs, and an
example of that is Michael Jackson s, Man In the Mirror. The Ones Who Walk
Away from Omelas and Man In the Mirror have similar themes of morality and not

selfishness. Le Guin writes, ... if it were cleaned and feed and comforted... in that

Rhetorical Analysis Of Liza Featherstone s Article
Rhetorical analyses of What s a girl to read?
In her article What s A Girl To Read? Liza Featherstone takes up the subject of teen
magazines. She does a humorous but thorough critique on the newest teen magazines
that have been published and later on attempts to introduce magazines that she
believes are better suited for teenage girls. Featherstone looks down on publications
that emphasize most of their print on Fashion, relationships and celebrities and
advocates for magazines that stimulate intellectual growth, promote a healthy body
image and include diversity. As an active journalist, columnist and activist, Liza
Featherstone makes a good point in her article all while using most abundantly three
rhetorical tools: logos, ethos and pathos that she wove into a studied text organization

Spirituality Is The Fundamental Element Within The...
Spirituality is the fundamental element in the formation of Indigenous identity.
However, since the arrival of European settlement, the sense of spirituality has been
severely damaged. Since 2009, Deadly Choices have effectively empowered
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to make healthy choices for themselves
and their families. Deadly choices offers an effective path to help Indigenous people
reconnect to their land, culture and beliefs through the identification of the
breakdown of spirituality and thus, providing a variety of educational programs
about health and leadership to support in the recovery of their lives. Furthermore, the
employment of well known and inspirational Indigenous ambassadors offer guidance
and encouragement to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people represent
their culture with pride. Indigenous spirituality primarily focuses on the sense of
connectedness to the land, family, beliefs and traditional culture. Mudrooroo is an
Aboriginal writer who explains that spirituality is a oneness and an
interconnectedness with all that lives and breathes, even with all that does not live
or breathe. This sense of oneness with the world is also known as Kanyini, which
involves 4 key elements, connection to land, spirituality, beliefs (values) and family
(Lai, 2013). A connectedness with land plays a crucial role in Indigenous spirituality.
The land is often spoken of and referred to as Mother Earth , which all living things

Many children were afraid of the Radleys. The stories about when and where Boo

combination of existing corporate data and a number of reasonable adjustments
and assumptions. There is presently no publically available financial information
regarding the innovation, so it is impossible to accurately know the product s exact
cost structure or even its expected sale price per unit. Therefore, the choice was
made to make reasonable assumptions using publically available corporate financial
data as a starting point. The primary source for that was data thus obtained from the

direct effect on net income for the three previous fiscal years and according to the

The Amendment to the Trade Practices Act 1974
Prior to its amendment in 1986, the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) was aimed at
protecting corporations and big businesses against unfair trading. The amendment
led to the incorporation of section 52A, which was then later repealed in 1992 when
sections 51AA and 51 AB were enacted to replace it. The new section did not really
extend the law a great deal and only section 51AA contained anything new .
Section 51AB is an exact re enactment of section 52A... it prohibits a corporation
acting in trade or commerce, in connection with the supply or possible supply of
goods or services to a person, from engaging in unconscionable conduct. It therefore
applies specifically to consumer transactions. The amendment to the Trade Practices

As an intending shareholder in the company, she relied on the information given to
her by Mr Freeburn, and acquiesced in his negotiating on behalf of them both in
making arrangements for the credit facility and for the giving of the guarantee in

creditor and the debtor extends, in circumstances such as those which existed in the
present case, to the disclosure to one co surety of adverse information acquired by
the creditor concerning the financial worth or credit worthiness of another co surety.
On the other hand the respondent submits that the duty does not go so far and that it

Threat Assessment of Ping Sweeps and Port Scans Essay
Threat Assessment of Ping Sweeps and Port Scans Ping sweeps and port scans are
two techniques that a malicious computer user such as a hacker can utilize to

email address: Done by installing a virus program into a user s email client through a

Port Scanning Port scanning is technique used to identify any open or closed
Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) or User Datagram Protocol (UDP) network
communication ports or services on a network host device. For example, port
number 110 is assigned to Post Office Protocol three (POP3) for email client
application communications on a network. There can be up to 65,000 ports any
one computer or host device and any unused open ports as determined by a port
scan may allow a malicious user unauthorized access to it. This is akin to an open
window in a house whereas a burglar can gain access to it ( Facts about port, ).
Also, accessive port scanning can lead to a denial of service (DoS) attack and not
allow authorized users to access their data. Finally, there are again several utility
tools available to perform port scanning such as Nmap as mentioned previously or
SolarWinds Port scanner.
Firewall
To mitigate the security threat posed by ping sweeps and port scans it is highly
recommended that firewall protection on all network hosts devices should be enabled
to close any unused ports to protect them from unauthorized access. Also, is
recommended that the use of a firewall server to protect the network from any
outside intruders be used as well. In conclusion, ping sweeping and port scanning can
threaten the security of a Business Enterprises network and steps
The Importance Of Alarm Fatigue And Its Effects On The...
Chapter Four: Evaluation
The purpose of this project was to determine if traditional education had a greater
impact on the number of false and non actionable alarms over presenting education in
an online educational format. Evidence supports that alarm fatigue is a nursing
problem that puts patients at risk for ham. Reducing the number of nuisance alarms
decreases the occurrence of alarm fatigue among registered nurses. Evidence also
supports patient harm is lessened when alarm fatigue is reduced (Sendelbach, S.,
Funk, M. 2013). Nurses are ethically obligated to reduce and remove the risk of
patient harm. Patients are at a greater risk for harm when nurse do not appropriately
manage nuisance alarms. Nurses are ethically obligated to reduce this risk of hazard
to patients by following evidence based strategies to reduce these nuisance alarms.
This chapter includes the implementation for this project, and step by step details
will be outlined. The project s results will be discussed as well as the evaluation of
the findings. Also in this chapter, evaluation of the project s design and evaluation of
the project s implementation will be examined.
The project was designed to compare false, non actionable alarms prior to education
on the evidence based strategies to reduce alarm fatigue, after online education and
then again after traditional face to face education. The project included nurses in the
14 bed cardiac intensive care unit, within a 456 bed, not for profit
True Professionalism is Related to a PersonВґs Attitudes,...
Nowadays, the competitiveness of companies and the fight for customers, it s
increasingly more and more difficult to attract and retain clients on their side. For
this reason, companies must pay great attention and care to their employees, as
they are the ones in constant contact with customers. This essay will talk about
professionalism, particularly what constitutes professionalism, what are the
consequences when employees do not follow the company s conduct for the big
company such as Rolls Royce and will look at some of the facts how Rolls Royce
deals with these kind of issues. Furthermore, I will reflect on the situation when
acting as professional become an issue during the placement with Rolls Royce.
The word professionalism is often referred to as person s attitude, behaviour , and
capabilities in their job (Smith and McKeen, 2003). Maister (1997) explains, being
professional does not necessary describes a person with a set of job qualifications,
it is rather a label one have to earn in the eyes of others. So what describes true
professionalism? There is no generally adopted norm of what constitutes
professionalism, what defines professionalism in one company may not apply
somewhere else, however, it is recognized that manners and appearance are
inseparable part of it (Smith and McKeen, 2003). Physical appearance is just as
important as actual behaviour on the job. If IT employee s appearance does not fit

The Eyes Were Watching God Character Analysis
Model Amber Valletta wrote, We are what we see. We are products of our

or past events of their lives. Janie Crawford is certainly not an exception. This is the
story of Janie s Pursuit for love where she, a widowed woman, unfolds her story to
her friend Pheoby at dinner. She talks about her childhood with Nanny and The

experiences with them along with events that took place while being with them or in
relation to them, how they affected her mentality, and how she grows up and matures

Fame And Glory In Beowulf
In the Anglo Saxon epic poem Beowulf, the main character, Beowulf struggles with
prioritizing health and defending himself over his desire for fame and glory.
Throughout the story Beowulf shows that he would rather get the most fame and
glory possible then to protect himself. Especially towards the end he starts to not care
about his health, and this shows through the fact that he is around 70 and about to
fight a dragon just for fame and glory. Beowulfshows that he would rather risk
everything to get glory and fame throughout the battles with Grendel, Grendel s
mother, and the dragon. In the battle against Beowulf and Grendel, Beowulf is so
eager for ultimate glory that he decides to use no weapons or armor. Beowulf
states, I have heard, too, that the monster s scorn of men is so great that he needs
no weapons and fears none. Nor will I. Beowulf says this to tell the people of Herot
that he will not fight with weapons or fear if the enemy is not doing the same.
Another account of this is when Beowulf explains, My lord Higlac might think less
of me is I let my sword go where my feet were afraid to... He is willing to use no
weapon at all then to use one and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His last battle was against a dragon. In this battle he wore all of his armor ,and he
brought a sword with him to defend himself. Beowulf states, I am old, now, but I
will fight again, seek fame still... This means even though Beowulf knows he is
old, he is not going to let that stop him from seeking glory and fame one last time.
When Beowulf is being scorched with the dragon s fiery breath Wiglaf mentions,
He meant to kill this monster himself, our mighty king, fight this battle alone and
unaided... Wiglaf says this after the other men have fled and left Beowulf to die.
Beowulf knew he was most likely going to die in this battle but his passion for glory
and fame overpowered all logical reasoning of keeping him and others
No Tolerance For A Lack Of Maternity Leave
Zero Tolerance For A Lack Of Maternity Leave Whenever we hear a story on the
news of a woman or her family struggling because they re being refused maternity
leave it breaks our hearts. These women, expecting mothers, have to carry or have
carried a child for roughly 9 months. Most if not all have done so by being on their
feet all day and have only had the required minimum for breaks. Is it then wrong to
ask for maternity leave? Should pregnant women not be allowed some work
accommodations? Well, contrary to popular belief, maternity leave is more than
just a time for a woman s gestation period or relaxation. In a country with a
population of more than 308 million women I think maternity should be a right.
So, then who is to blame for the lack of maternity leave? The answer: male bosses.
It s thanks to these bosses that once women are mothers, they have to go back to
work as soon as possible. All these new mothers are told by their male bosses that
they are expected back as soon as they can. These men allow little to no maternity
leave for women in the work force. And I think we can all agree that this is a serious
issue for our nation. There must be a solution to this detrimental illness afflicting our
country. Which is why I have proposed a solution that will benefit not only women
but our whole nation. If male bosses are forced to wear maternity belts they will feel
sympathetic to the struggles of pregnant women. They in turn will be motivated to
give paid maternity
Midbrain Research Paper
The arrangement of the human brain comes from the physical arrangement set as an
embryo. The forebrain is the part of the brain farthest forward, followed by the
midbrain, then the hindbrain toward the back of the neck.
The hindbrain, located directly above the spinal cord, contains the medulla, pons, and
cerebellum. The medulla controls breathing, heart rate, swallowing, digestion, and
maintaining an up right posture. As well, the medulla is where nerves from the left
brain transfer to the right and nerves from the right brain transfer to the left. Below
the medulla are the pons. The pons control sleep and arousal. Behind both the
medulla and the pons is the cerebellum. The cerebellum is involved in regulation and
coordination of body movements and learning.
Above the hindbrain is a small, neural area called the midbrain. The midbrain, in its
retical formation, is responsible for regulating and maintaining consciouness.

Within the two hemispheres are four lobes: the occipital lobes, pariental lobes,
temporal lobes, and frontal lobes. The occipital lobes are responsible for visual
processing including shapes, color, and motion. The pariental lobes, located in front
of the occipital lobes, are involved in touch sensatino and monitoring the body s
position. Located below the pariental lobes are the temporal lobes, which are
involved with hearing and language. In the very front of the brain, behind the
forehead, the frontal lobes are found. The frontal lobes are responsible for the
coordination of movement and higher mental process such as planning, social skills,
Essay On Baby Friendly Recognition
As a post partum nurse at a facility on its journey to obtain a Baby Friendly
recognition, I completed a 24 hour of a continue education course on breastfeeding,
and shadowed a lactation consultant during orientation as a requirement to work in
the unit. In 1991, the World Health Organization and the United National
International Children s Emergency Found created the Baby Friendly global
recognition program for hospitals and birth facilities. This recognition is awarded to
facilities that promote and support breastfeeding, while complying with the Ten Steps
to Successful Breastfeeding and the International Code of Marketing of Breast milk
Substitutes . The Baby Friendly Hospital initiative assists hospitals in giving all
mothers the information,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I have taught mothers the benefits of breastfeeding, for the mother as well as for
the baby. Breastfeeding decreases the risks for breast and ovarian cancer, transfer
antibodies to the baby related to help decreased allergies, lowers chances of
autism, enhances cognitive outcomes for babies, promotes bonding, among others.
However, something has stood out, even though I have witnessed exclusive
breastfeeding newborns struggled, I was never oriented in the risk factors from
breastfeeding. Risk factors such as dehydration, rapid weight loss, hypoglycemia,
and increased bilirubin levels. In the article Re hospitalization for neonatal
dehydration, a nested controlled study was performed concluding the following
Re hospitalization for dehydration occurred in 2.1 per 1000 live births. Among
vaginal births, the most important risk factors were being born of a first time
mother; exclusive breastfeeding maternal age equal to or older than 35 years
(AOR, 3.0; 95% CI, 1.5 6.0); and gestational age younger than 39 weeks (AOR, 2.0,
95% CI, 1.2 3.5). Among cesarean births, having a birth hospitalization length of
stay less than 48 hours was associated with dehydration () Escobar GJ, 2002) Signs
of dehydration in babies are concentrated, crystals, orange urine. Other symptoms
include dryness of the lips, and excessive crying even after feeding. Newborns body
is composed of mostly water, but their only way to received hydration is throughout
breastmilk or formula. Fluid requirements for the newborn and infant range from 100
to 150 mL/kg daily (Susan Scott Ricci) Additional water supplementation is not
recommended because there is not nutritional value in plain water. Each feeding
should have satisfied the newborn metabolic demands from fats, protein, and carbs to

Character Analysis Of Oedipus
When contemplating the character of Oedipus in Oedipus Tyrannus, it would be
easy to dismiss him as merely a tragic character with only a cursory glance. One
must dig deeply into Oedipus to fully understand him as a man. Aristotle understood
this when used Oedipus as his example of a tragic hero. It is through deep analysis
that one fully grasps that while Oedipusis a tragic character, he is also heroic in his
being and his actions. Yes, Oedipus does make mistakes due to his hubris, but this
does not negate that he is a noble person who does act nobly. Part of Aristotle s
discussion of the tragic hero is that he must be a person of greatness. This greatness
entails not only a high social position, but it also includes a nobilityof character.
Oedipus displays virtuous characteristics even before becoming king of Thebes.
He becomes king because of his encounter with the Sphinx. Thebes had been under
the Sphinx s thrall for some time with innocent lives being taken due to an
incorrect answer to the Sphinx s riddle. When Oedipus encountered the Sphinx, he
demonstrated wisdom and insight by correctly answering the Sphinx s riddle.
Oedipus triumph over the Sphinx was viewed by the Priest as an act of bravery and
as a rite of passage. The Priest refers to Oedipus as the one who saved Thebes from
the Sphinx (Oed. Prologue.40). His actions led Oedipus to be called a king of
wisdom tested in the past , Noblest of men , and Liberator (Oed. Prologue. 46, 53,
55). Thus, it was Oedipus actions before he was king that made him heroic.
Not only was Oedipus heroic before becoming king, he was also heroic once he
was made king. The play begins with Thebes suffering from plague that has been
caused, according to the Oracle at Delphi, by the death of Laius, Oedipus
predecessor. Oedipus as a noble king, responds to the cries of his people. In fact, he
refers to them as poor Children as if they are his metaphorical children
(Oed.Prologue. 66). He imposes on himself the responsibility of the safety and
nurturing of the people of Thebes. He sees his people s suffering and is wrought over
it because he has been in tears for a long while over it (Oed. Prologue. 69).
It is this care and concern that forces Oedipus to
Similarities Between Forbidden Planet And The Tempest
Tugba Dilara Erarslan
31.12.2016
Extra Credit Assignment Forbidden Planet as Adaptation of William Shakespeare s
The Tempest Forbidden Planet is a 1956 American science fiction film which is
centered on a starship crew that goes to survey a planet (Altair IV) only to find two
survivors and to see the destruction of the planet at the end. This movie is of great
significance primarily because it happens to be an adaptation of William Shakespeare
s famous play The Tempest. At first glance, forming a link between these two might
seem impossible not just because they are two different genres, but also because one
is a play proceeding with magic, the other is a science fiction film with a high focus
on technology. However,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In both versions, there are two different worlds. The Tempest takes place in an
island that takes up a very small part of the world. The island is compared to the
vast unseen parts of the world. This fact becomes more pronounced in the case of
Miranda. She s never seen any place other than the island they live in. In the movie
version, Altair IV is where our attention is directed. Altaira, like Miranda, has seen
no human beings other than her father and wants to visit the Earth. Unlike the
island, this planet is huge, making the comparison very much harder. The planet
Altair IV, where Morbius leads a solitary life with his daughter, resembles Prospero
s island. Whether Morbius stays there out of will or forcefully is open to
discussion but whereas Prospero wants to recover his kingdom and go back to his
old life, Marbius claims that he has no need for assistance and is quite satisfied with
the current circumstances of his life. Prospero stages a storm in order to take his
revenge on those who tortured him in the past and uses every means to draw them
into the island. Morbius, on the other hand, constantly warns the crew not to land and
warns them against the possible dangers they might come across: Your best procedure
will be to turn back at once without
The Majority Of Male Characters
The majority of male characters in Bernard Shaw s Pygmalion appear to be
fundamentally flawed in some important way. Freddy Eynsford Hill is raised as a
gentleman and, thus, is a fool who has trouble hailing a cab, let alone finding any
suitable occupation for himself. Henry Higgins is well educated but ill mannered,
alienating him from society due to his inconsideration for others. Alfred Doolittle
appears to lack any sort of morals and seems equally free from fear and conscience.
The only male figure who stands out is Colonel Pickering, who seems talented,
respectful, and compassionate compared to his competition. Even so, Pickering is
only superficially a gentleman; his concern, respect, and treatment for others are
overshadowed by his lack of growth and the play s criticism of gentlemanly
behavior as a whole. Pickering s true concern and compassion for others,
particularly Eliza, distinguish him from the other male characters. His first words
to Eliza are, won t you sit down? (Shaw II, 39). This courtesy, which Higgins does
not extend, rightfully suggests that he thought and felt about her as if [she] were
something better than a scullerymaid, much to Higgins chagrin (V, 122). At the
same time, Pickering is not infatuated unlike Freddy (V, 130), who laughably spends
most of his nights on Wimpole Street because it s the only place where [he s] happy
(IV, 106). All Eliza wants is a little kindness, and Pickering, who is neither
inconsiderate nor
Summary Of God s Acres By David Jurkiewicz
Before someone can be published though, the story has to be written. David
Jurkiewicz, better known by his pen name, David Gerard, has had multiple years
in the writing and publishing business. Jurkawitz decided to become a writer after
his brother began writing a book. He liked to read just like the rest of family. He
worked as a reporter and opinion columnist for The Muskogee Phoenix newspaper
and has published three books. Jurkawicz is very knowledgeable when it comes to
the publishingprocess.
Most writers create their stories from their own interests or experiences. Jurkawicz
wrote his book, God s Acres, from his childhood memories. Jerkawitz says that
clichГ©s should be avoided in all ways because it is up to the author to be original. ...

Jerkiewicz, who worked in the newspaper business for 15 years, said the
subscriptions have fallen drastically. In 1995 the newspaper has about 24,000
copies in circulation, but in 2010, only has 9,000 copies in circulation. The readers
however, had not quit reading the news, but had turned to online sources. He adds
that magazines and newspapers should have a strong digital marketing plan. He
thinks that traditional printing will continue to decline, but will never die out.
There will still be a market, but it will just be smaller than it is now. He says that
Kindle had not run print books out of business, and it never will. He adds that
printing is so cheap now that printers are going out of business because falling
subscription levels are leading to

Weight training in body building is a very huge part of any exercise regimen, but itГs not the only part. However, when you have a strong weight training plan, your body building goals become easier to achieve. In order to work certain muscle groups, you need to lift weights that will provide resistance to those areas. As you start your weight training body building program, remember to start small and work your way up. That means start out with a weight that is difficult to lift, but you are able to do it with some effort. As that weight gets easier to lift, add more. The idea is to build up slowly so you donГt risk injury

While there they witnessed the baby s father commit suicide. This sparked Nick s curiosity with death. Both stories detail Nick s coming of age into adulthood. An Indian woman had been in labor for 2 days, and was in pain and screaming. While the woman helped her the men went off. The man had moved off up the road to sit in the dark and smoke out of range of the noise she made. (92) This is sexism because they left the women to care for the Indian woman that was having a baby. They think it is for women to care for her and did not help at all. Instead they tried to go far away so they didn t even have to listen to her pain. Also sexism is in the article Forget the Legend and Read the Work by Margaret Bauer. Therefore not only do I not dispute the opinion that the woman in labor is a mere prop in Indian Camp, but also I defend Hemingway s using her as a vehicle toward Nick s potential development and a means of revealing Nick s fathers callousness. Discussing the issue that women in much of Hemingway s work are not very important of and by themselves (Bauer 2). In the Doctor and the Doctor s Wife, sexism is portrayed by Hemingway when he describes the interaction between the wife and the doctor. He leaves her without answering her questions and goes off to hunt with his son. Hemingway can be determined as a sexist by the way he portrays the women in his stories as weak and inferior to men. Some people believe that sexism was part of Hemingway s life because he was married 4 times and had many mistresses and because of this and the way that he writes he is viewed as a sexist. An example of masculinity versus femininity in the Doctor and the Doctor s Wife is shown when the doctor is cleaning his shot gun and the wife says you didn t say anything to anger him did you? and the doctor replies no . This implies that the wife is weak because she does not want a confrontation. Nick chooses to go with his father because he wants to be seen as a man and like his father. The doctor wants to feel like a tough man but walks away from Dick s

The retailer offered to distribute the product line, but included several stipulations that would change the Swisher s distribution methods of its product. Swisher s target markets are the Midwest and Southeast, where the Ride King and their private label Big Mow are primarily distributed. The company focuses sales on consumers with over an acre of land, as well as farmers with several hundred acres. The Ride King has a distinct advantage over its competitors, since it is the only mower that has one front wheel that can turn the mower 360 degrees without shifting. As the economy improves, Swisher can take advantage of increasing sales by selling more of its mowers in large retailers. Its retail price would make it the cheapest product on the market. As other brands have distributed their mowers under private labels to the growing mass merchandisers, Swisher s sales could be quickly depleted. In order for Swisher to fully compete, it must be able to gain market share on other private label brands. Many of its competitors have an advantage, because they use front engine mowers, while the Ride King does not. With other manufacturers selling their mowers in the same locations as Swisher, Swisher must create more brand awareness within urban areas by

No Tolerance For A Lack Of Maternity Leave Zero Tolerance For A Lack Of Maternity Leave Whenever we hear a story on the news of a woman or her family struggling because they re being refused maternity leave it breaks our hearts. These women, expecting mothers, have to carry or have carried a child for roughly 9 months. Most if not all have done so by being on their feet all day and have only had the required minimum for breaks. Is it then wrong to ask for maternity leave? Should pregnant women not be allowed some work accommodations? Well, contrary to popular belief, maternity leave is more than just a time for a woman s gestation period or relaxation. In a country with a population of more than 308 million women I think maternity should be a right. So, then who is to blame for the lack of maternity leave? The answer: male bosses. It s thanks to these bosses that once women are mothers, they have to go back to work as soon as possible. All these new mothers are told by their male bosses that they are expected back as soon as they can. These men allow little to no maternity leave for women in the work force. And I think we can all agree that this is a serious issue for our nation. There must be a solution to this detrimental illness afflicting our country. Which is why I have proposed a solution that will benefit not only women but our whole nation. If male bosses are forced to wear maternity belts they will feel sympathetic to the struggles of pregnant women. They in turn will be motivated to give paid maternity

  • 42. Character Analysis Of Oedipus When contemplating the character of Oedipus in Oedipus Tyrannus, it would be easy to dismiss him as merely a tragic character with only a cursory glance. One must dig deeply into Oedipus to fully understand him as a man. Aristotle understood this when used Oedipus as his example of a tragic hero. It is through deep analysis that one fully grasps that while Oedipusis a tragic character, he is also heroic in his being and his actions. Yes, Oedipus does make mistakes due to his hubris, but this does not negate that he is a noble person who does act nobly. Part of Aristotle s discussion of the tragic hero is that he must be a person of greatness. This greatness entails not only a high social position, but it also includes a nobilityof character. Oedipus displays virtuous characteristics even before becoming king of Thebes. He becomes king because of his encounter with the Sphinx. Thebes had been under the Sphinx s thrall for some time with innocent lives being taken due to an incorrect answer to the Sphinx s riddle. When Oedipus encountered the Sphinx, he demonstrated wisdom and insight by correctly answering the Sphinx s riddle. Oedipus triumph over the Sphinx was viewed by the Priest as an act of bravery and as a rite of passage. The Priest refers to Oedipus as the one who saved Thebes from the Sphinx (Oed. Prologue.40). His actions led Oedipus to be called a king of wisdom tested in the past , Noblest of men , and Liberator (Oed. Prologue. 46, 53, 55). Thus, it was Oedipus actions before he was king that made him heroic. Not only was Oedipus heroic before becoming king, he was also heroic once he was made king. The play begins with Thebes suffering from plague that has been caused, according to the Oracle at Delphi, by the death of Laius, Oedipus predecessor. Oedipus as a noble king, responds to the cries of his people. In fact, he refers to them as poor Children as if they are his metaphorical children (Oed.Prologue. 66). He imposes on himself the responsibility of the safety and nurturing of the people of Thebes. He sees his people s suffering and is wrought over it because he has been in tears for a long while over it (Oed. Prologue. 69). It is this care and concern that forces Oedipus to

However,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In both versions, there are two different worlds. The Tempest takes place in an island that takes up a very small part of the world. The island is compared to the vast unseen parts of the world. This fact becomes more pronounced in the case of Miranda. She s never seen any place other than the island they live in. In the movie version, Altair IV is where our attention is directed. Altaira, like Miranda, has seen no human beings other than her father and wants to visit the Earth. Unlike the island, this planet is huge, making the comparison very much harder. The planet Altair IV, where Morbius leads a solitary life with his daughter, resembles Prospero s island. Whether Morbius stays there out of will or forcefully is open to discussion but whereas Prospero wants to recover his kingdom and go back to his old life, Marbius claims that he has no need for assistance and is quite satisfied with the current circumstances of his life. Prospero stages a storm in order to take his revenge on those who tortured him in the past and uses every means to draw them into the island. Morbius, on the other hand, constantly warns the crew not to land and warns them against the possible dangers they might come across: Your best procedure will be to turn back at once without
  • 44. The Majority Of Male Characters The majority of male characters in Bernard Shaw s Pygmalion appear to be fundamentally flawed in some important way. Freddy Eynsford Hill is raised as a gentleman and, thus, is a fool who has trouble hailing a cab, let alone finding any suitable occupation for himself. Henry Higgins is well educated but ill mannered, alienating him from society due to his inconsideration for others. Alfred Doolittle appears to lack any sort of morals and seems equally free from fear and conscience. The only male figure who stands out is Colonel Pickering, who seems talented, respectful, and compassionate compared to his competition. Even so, Pickering is only superficially a gentleman; his concern, respect, and treatment for others are overshadowed by his lack of growth and the play s criticism of gentlemanly behavior as a whole. Pickering s true concern and compassion for others, particularly Eliza, distinguish him from the other male characters. His first words to Eliza are, won t you sit down? (Shaw II, 39). This courtesy, which Higgins does not extend, rightfully suggests that he thought and felt about her as if [she] were something better than a scullerymaid, much to Higgins chagrin (V, 122). At the same time, Pickering is not infatuated unlike Freddy (V, 130), who laughably spends most of his nights on Wimpole Street because it s the only place where [he s] happy (IV, 106). All Eliza wants is a little kindness, and Pickering, who is neither inconsiderate nor

Most writers create their stories from their own interests or experiences. Jurkawicz wrote his book, God s Acres, from his childhood memories. Jerkawitz says that clichГ©s should be avoided in all ways because it is up to the author to be original. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Jerkiewicz, who worked in the newspaper business for 15 years, said the subscriptions have fallen drastically. In 1995 the newspaper has about 24,000 copies in circulation, but in 2010, only has 9,000 copies in circulation. The readers however, had not quit reading the news, but had turned to online sources. He adds that magazines and newspapers should have a strong digital marketing plan. He thinks that traditional printing will continue to decline, but will never die out. There will still be a market, but it will just be smaller than it is now. He says that Kindle had not run print books out of business, and it never will. He adds that printing is so cheap now that printers are going out of business because falling subscription levels are leading to
