Thales Of Miletus And The Elastic School Of Philosophy
From Thales of Miletus, the first ancient Greek philosopher, to Socrates and Aristotle, ancient
Greek philosophy has set the standard for modern intellectual and rational thought. They developed
new ways of reasoning and logic to explain the natural phenomena that surround them. Reality,
existence, and the essence of things were the basis of what these philosophers sought to rationalize.
In this paper, I will be discussing the epistemology and ontologypresented by The Eleatics, the
Pluralists, and The Atomists. These three Pre Socratic schools often opposed one another s
epistemological and ontological views. However, each critic resulted in even more theories and
laws that we still use to this day. Their works also improved the standard for argument which
became of great use to the future Classical and modern philosophers.
The Eleatics
The Elastic School of Philosophy, established by Parmenides in the fifth century, was best known
for the development of early philosophers including Zeno of Elea and Xenophanes of Colophon.
The Elastics works often pointed to their use of logic and reason rather than sense experience to
find the ultimate truths . These ultimate truths were concerned with the Being and Becoming of
things rather than the origin of the things themselves. In this section, we are going to focus
primarily on the school s prominent advocates: Parmenides, writer of On Nature, and Zeno, founder
of the dialectic method. Together, Parmenides and Zeno laid the

The Secret Intelligence Branch Of The Shin Bet
If there is one thing true about this documentary is the depressing, and pessimistic nature of it.
The Shin Bet, Israel s equivalent of the FBI act as the secret intelligence branch that serves to
protect Israel from behind the scenes, and Unseen Shield, if you will. The six ex leaders of the
Shin Bet all portray the recent decades of Israels undercover militaristic organisation by retelling
some of their past actions and experiences. All six tell of their actions, that would shock us
uninitiated civilians, with surprising bluntness. One man seems like the typical gentle grandpa
wearing suspenders, who is subsequently called a bully and a monster, another younger man is very
collected yet obviously troubled by the job. And then there is also Ami the bald gaunt man who
likes to quote intellectuals. All speak about the political history of Israel and how they re work has
fundamentally changed them. One of the most important change they face is their entire strategy
involving the Palestinian issue. Their tactics need to change from simply removing extremists to
diplomatic solutions. At the very beginning of the film the man Yuval Diskin introduces the most
thought provoking theme of the documentary, it s unnatural to have the power to give the word and
end a man s life in an instant. In these moments when a person has to decide between taking the
shot and killing a known terrorist and potentially innocent lives around him, or decline and let the
man go on to do some

Differences Between Viruses And Widespread Spread
There is a trade off between rate of transmission and duration of infection. If a pathogen can gain
increased reproduction by using host resources, or doing anything that helps itself and hurts the
host, that tactic can be selected for. A pathogen gains from leaving the host mobile, which generally
entails leaving the host alive. A virus spreads only if an infected individual passes the virus on to
more than one new host.
However, if a virus is too aggressive and kills its host fast its fitness is not as successful. When the
virus makes its host sicker, it reduces its ability to spread due to death or isolation from other
people. The virus would then have a low evolutionary fitness unless it sufficiently increases its
chance of being transmitted by killing its host.
When a virus infects a new host species they may be susceptible to highly virulent strains. In order
to be successful in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Droplet occurs when bacteria or viruses travel on relatively large respiratory droplets that people
sneeze, cough, drip, or exhale, such as the common cold. Airborne transmission is similar. Viruses
travel on dust particles that become aerosolized when people sneeze, cough, laugh, or exhale, and
hang in the air. They can travel on air currents over large distances. Anthrax, Chickenpox, Influenza,
Measles, Smallpox, and Tuberculosis are examples of this .
Vector borne disease organisms are important factors that promote the evolutionary increases of
virulence. Disease organisms transmitted through vectors like mosquitoes, tend to be much more
damaging than diseases that are simply transmitted by people coughing or sneezing (droplet
transmission). In vector borne diseases immobilizing the host does not prevent transmission, but it
might even enhance it. Experimental studies indicate that mosquitoes are better able to bite a
laboratory animal when it is sick with a vector borne disease such as malaria than when it is healthy

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Soybean
Soybean is an important crop, with food, nutritional, industrial, and pharmaceutical uses. Soybean
seeds contain about 40% protein and about 20% oil. They are also abundant in physiologically
active metabolites such as isoflavones, lecithins, tocopherols and saponins, in addition to functional
proteins and are used as an affordable source of foods that promote and maintain health (Sugano
2005).
The genomic era is now under way for soybean, as for other many crops. Recently, a soybean
genomics database has been developed from the whole genome sequence (Schmutz et al. 2010), and
a large number of genomic, transcriptional, and functional annotated sequences can be retrieved
from Phytozome In addition to efforts to sequence the whole genome, several ... Show more content

ADVANTAGES OF SOYBEAS TRANSFORMATION
пѓ Insect and nematode resistance
Insecticidal crystal proteins (cry proteins or Оґ endotoxins) are an active component of Bacillus
thuringiensis(Bt) toxin, a biological insecticide (Tabashnik 1994). Expression of the Bt cry gene in
soybean has proven highly effective for controlling insect pests , and the resistance to lepidopteran
pests in a transgenic line expressing Bt cry1A was confirmed under field conditions
пѓ Disease resistance
Soybean mosaic virus (SMV) is endemic in virtually all regions where soybeans are grown in the
presence of vector insects. SMV can cause serious yield losses (Ross 1969), so virus resistance is
an essential trait for introduction
пѓ Abiotic stress tolerance
Drought stress is one of the major environmental limitations on crop production. Transgenic
soybean expressing P5CR, encoding l О”1 pyrroline 5 carboxylate reductase, which catalyzes the
final step in proline biosynthesis, under the control of an inducible heat shock promoter was more
tolerant to drought and high temperature than non transgenic plants (De Ronde et al. 2004a,

Riordan Manufacturing s Implementation Stage
Riordan Manufacturing s implementation stage is going to take a group effort. To combine talents
from many different fields to complete this stage of the project effectively. This implementation
will rely on the human resources department and the information technology departments. We
included both departments in the design and development processes.
The developers have chosen a software package that was designed by Microsoft to implement the
Riordan HRIS. The decision was largely pushed due to the fact that Riordan current OS is the
Windows platform. Our team will be implementing the Microsoft base software, which will
automatically create a new database on the MySql.
Using the waterfall approach the system developers will be able to focus on one piece of the
system and move on each part separately. This will give the design team more time to focus on
small sections of the new coding. Moving from one stage to the next means that each step has been
checked thoroughly and is completed.
According to Implementation Phase Recommendations (2014), During the testing phase, these test
cases are implemented, automated, and initially executed to verify that, as various parts of the
system reach code complete, testing is ready to verify performance. In addition, anticipate running
the verification tests many times during a test pass as performance bottlenecks are identified and
fixes provided. Having the tests automated makes it easier, faster, and more consistent to re run

Bruckner s 8th Symphony Essay
With a sense of mystery, highly acclaimed New York Philharmonic conductor Lorin Maazel opened
Bruckner s 8th symphony with a tremolo on the strings and then repeats this tremolando in forte
while the brass gloriously brought in the first major theme. Amidst the bright colors and amazing
acoustics at Disney Hall, the audience sat in eager anticipation; many of the present members were
experienced with Bruckner s pieces and Wagnerian style. Sitting next to me, David Barry of the LA
Philharmonic Board of Directors gave me an introduction to the history of Disney Hall, the LA
Philharmonic musicians, and Anton Bruckner. He quickly detailed several prominent musicians
profiles, including that of the only timpanist at the concert, and then, he... Show more content on

This astounding range of emotions, within just a few bars, was so new to me; at first, I was afraid
that I misunderstood the music. I had never heard music with such a strong Romantic style before,
but as the concert went on, I let the music wash over myself and lead my imagination to experience
Bruckner s dazzling array of emotions portrayed in this work.
Maazel s brilliant portrayal of Bruckner s swaying emotions was evident as the pizzicato on the
strings transitioned into the brass, fiercely bellowing the third theme. With my inexperience, I was
rather uncomfortable with the sudden and almost jarring shifts in the mood at first, but gradually, I
began to appreciate how Bruckner alternated between his themes, using them, as Mark Swed of the
LA Times noted, as gigantic melodic building blocks to construct a massive cathedral of sound.
Despite the complex, intertwining development of the three themes, the first movement vanishingly
surrendered itself, as elusively as the introduction.
In the subsequent scherzo, David Berry explained some of the influences of Beethoven, my favorite
composer, had on Bruckner s piece. Although I didn t really understand much, the second
movement s numerous reiterations of the bold principal theme left me feeling as if I were caught
in a powerful thunderstorm of divine glory, a contrast of loving compassion for the

Peoria Analysis
The choice of Peoria, IL an IRS office in the Midwest to set the novel is anything but
coincidental. Apart from being one of the very few rather unpopular American institutions, it is
also, largely, extremely efficient, which is aptly summarized by the sardonic but true observation
often ascribed to Benjamin Franklin (who used it in the current form in a letter to Jean Baptiste
Leroy in 1789 but dating back to Daniel Defoe s Political History of the Devil written in 1726),
that in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes . But the inevitability of

The latter expression is a direct quote from 1 Corinthians 13:11, clearly implying something akin
to a quasi religious awakening whereby a self professed slacker and wastoid , ironically through
his inability to pay attention, evolves into a full on accountant. At this point, in order to further
explore the theme of boredom in The Pale King, let us revisit the definition of boredom itself after

The Pros and Cons of Greeting Guests at Church Services
The Artifact We all know about it (personally it s the one thing I dread each Sunday morning), the
greeting of the guests. Greeting of the guests is at some point in a Church Service (usually around
the beginning of a Sunday morning service) the Pastor, or Music Minister will direct the
congregation, specifically church members to go out and specifically find someone who is visiting,
target them out and begin talking to them. I will look into the positive and negative aspects of this
practice, and what the church should or shouldn t do in practicing this event every Sunday morning.
The Message It can be very tricky, because people can interpret the greeting of guests in a number
of different ways. You can interpret it as genuine... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Paul was a scholar of the Old Testament, and there s no doubt he knew about laws; but after his
encounter with God on the road to Damascus, he was introduced to grace which is something we
all need (but we don t deserve). Paul s letters to early Christians help contribute a code of ethics
for believers to live by in all sorts of situations, even things we may not think about like head
coverings or meat that may have been sacrificed to pagan idols. As Christians we should not be
boasting about whatever it is we have accomplished, because without God we could get nothing
accomplished, rather we should rejoice with each other that God gave us opportunities for us to
show his glory and make it know to other people. With this approach, it seems that materialism has
been around as long as people have had possessions, however, it seems that in today s culture, many
more people a susceptible to a materialist mindset.
In My Life there has been many times where I have fallen victim to gloating about my
accomplishments, not necessarily purposely, but taking credit for things that weren t my
responsibility. I cannot recall if I have committed this sin in the act of greeting of new visitors,
but I know that I have acted upon this fleshly desire before. I feel as if once we greet a non
believer in the Church, he is given a first impression of the entire Church, and the fact of the matter
is, no matter how the greeting went, everyone in the

G quadruplex structures formed in telomeres and proto oncogene represent a potentially useful
target for anticancer drugs. Stabilization of this arrangement may inhibit the further action of
different enzymes involved in cancer cell immortalization. In present work structure based drug
design and synthesis was carried out on series of meso substituted porphyrin analogues. The
interaction of porphyrin derivatives with G quadruplex DNA has been explored by virtual screening
procedure. Some of the potential binding agents were then synthesized and evaluated in vitro by
MTT and PCR stop assay. The study indicates that these compounds had strong G Quadruplex

Language Presentation In Tamburlaine
The prologues to the two parts of Tamburlaine are direct addresses to the audience. The first
promises a new form of drama, elevated in tone and free from the devices and improvisations of
professional actors, and the second proudly points to the great success which that new form had had
with the first audience: The most obvious reason for the success of Tamburlainewas the surprise and
delight with which Marlowe s style was received, a style which has often been analysed, praised,
and criticised in the same time. The blank verse line with its variations in pace and rhythm, the
beauty of the language filled with sonorous place names and words expressing colour, light, and
space, the long sentences, abounding in hyperbole and imagery from classical mythology were the
source from which the rich variety of Elizabethan dramatic blank verse was to flow. In Introduction
to Christopher Marlowe, Tamburlaine, it is stated that the characteristic speech in Tamburlaine is
the exhortation (a special type of deliberative oration), and the plot is arranged so that it should

Pregnancy Pillow Advantages And Disadvantages
Anyone who has ever been pregnant knows that there are aches and pains that come with the
eventual joy. But there are some ways that we can alleviate those pains to the best of our abilities.
One of those ways is by using a pregnancy pillow to get the best rest possible.
Here are some of the benefits of a pregnancy pillow: o When using a pregnancy pillow, your sleep
quality is improved. A pregnancy pillow can help improve your quality by providing your body
the extra support you need and relieving stress from areas such as your back. o When you are
pregnant, you may be advised to sleep on your side. A pregnancy pillow provides extra back
support to help you sleep on your side. The pillow makes sleeping on your side easier even if
you are not used to sleeping on your side. The pillow can help support the back to help reduce
discomfort. o A pregnancy pillow can help you relax into a more natural position which will
relax your muscles. This will help reduce muscle tension and help better align your joints. This
can also help increase blood circulation. o Are you a snorer? Well, that generally is attributed to
people who sleep on their back. With the aid of a pregnancy pillow, snoring can be reduced. This
is because a pregnancy pillow aids you in sleeping on your side, which can reduce or eliminate
snoring, and improve spinal alignment.

She later found out the popping noise she heard further damaged her spine (par. 2). Back injuries
are the most common injuries among nurses. Nursing employees get their back injuries from the
number one cause of lifting their patients. The article explains how lifting a patient is harmful no
matter what way it is performed. These injuries prevent young nurses from continuing their career
(Zwerdling par, 13).
A nurse is susceptible to musculoskeletal injuries which can affect them physically and mentally.
Musculoskeletal injuries are injuries affecting the body s movement (Gropelli 297). An example
is back injuries, happening in roughly 52% of nurses (Gropelli 297). Back injuries are one of the
most important injuries to be careful of. Nurses are being restricted by injuries causing them to be
pushed out of work. It affects them mentally, because they can easily become stressed out about
not being able to work which leads to loss of money. Musculoskeletal injuries severely affect
nurses and the hospitals. The hospital is affected, because they are losing their staff due to all of
these injuries that could be prevented (Gropelli 301).
Because of these injuries and risks, younger nurses must leave the field well before retirement,
which will lead to a nursing shortage. The older nurses, which make up 51% of all nurses, are at a
higher risk of injury due to lack of updated training and physical limitations. According to Patricia

Hobo With A Shotgun Comparison
At a cursory glance Hobo with a Shotgun (Eisener, 2011) appears to be yet another graphic entry
to the overly violent Grindhouse genre. Upon deeper viewing it becomes apparent that the mise

narrative and biblical allegories of good, evil, the crucifixion, and martyrdom present in the plot.
Among the elements used are the hyper saturated colors in the lighting and set design, as well as
the familiar images in the form of both props and text. Unlike other movies of the genre, Hobo
with a Shotgun uses dramatic visuals to bolster its story and themes, rather than add gore for the

Skin Color In The Haitian Community
The status of someone skin color was very important in the Haitian communities. This part of
history is important because the social class was built on the contempt that the lighter skin you are

The Theory Of Emotional Intelligence
Howard Gardner is a Harvard graduate and developmental Psychologist who founded the theory of
multiple intelligences. There are nine different types that allow educators to identify differing
strengths and weaknesses in students. The types of intelligences include; verbal/linguistic, logical
mathematical, visual/spatial, bodily kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalistic,
and existential. Gardner has created a multiple intelligencecharter school that uses these categories
to better teach and shape young minds. Along with Gardner; there is another psychologist, Daniel
Goleman, who expanded the theory of emotional intelligenceover IQ. Emotional intelligence,
differing from multiple intelligence, is the ability to recognize one s own feelings and others
emotions and is just as important to success as multiple intelligence. Multiple intelligences will
greatly affect one s academic and professional success. Depending on which area one is strongest
in, an ideal work environment would allow for that strength to be used. For example, if an
individual were strongest in the logical mathematical intelligence, he or she would want to work
as an IT technician or a financial advisor. It s the same as if an individual had the most strength in
musical intelligence, he or she would want to be a musician or conduct an orchestra. Knowing one
s multiple intelligence could be extremely beneficial to one s academic and career success. For

Try not to be cruel, be honest, don t say things that might confuse or hurt like bringing back the
past or the reasons why you want to end it. Be prepared for any reaction, the dumped can react
since he or she didn t see it coming. You should try to be comforting but not too attach but also
don t just storm out of there. For both of you to have a chance to move on, you should avoid
each other and if you have each other s thing try to sort it out so you both won t have an
argument. The best lesson of a failed relationship is to learn from it and don t let it repeat it.
Also know when to walk away, why be bickering about a lost cause. After the break up don t try
to stay friends, you wanted to end it for a reason so why go back when you can keep moving
forward. Take some time for yourself since not everyone understands that the one who broke up
is also in pain as the one who was dumped. Because you re the one taking the bullet and it s true
since you might feel guilt and even though you want to go and party to try to feel alive and free of
everything, it s better to go to places you feel comfortable.
Just because you got off the horse doesn t mean you need to get back up after the break up.
Since both of you took time apart it helps with the healing process. Don t try to start dating
quickly, remember if it s meant to be, it s meant to be . Now that you re single you should change
things like a new look or set new goals and be happy. Don t be stuck in the past

II.What does marital success and family look like in this culture?1
There are three different types of marital unions in the DR these include church marriages, civil
marriages, and consensual unions. Church marriages and civil marriages are dominant among
the upper classes and the weddings can be expensive, while consensual unions are most common
among the poor. This can be traced all the way back to the slave periods. During this time Slave
families were broken up and marriages were not allowed. It is also important to note that the DR
is a leader when it comes to the number of girls that get married before the age of 18. A startling
41% get married before they reach the age of 18. And almost 13% were married before they
turned 15. Overall, marriage is an important part of life as a Dominican.
III.What are some proper etiquette rules?
When meeting someone the rules are not that much different than the American way of meeting
someone new. A simple handshake with good eye contact and a welcoming smile is the norm.
Although it is important to note that in the DR culture maintaining eye contact indicates interest
and it may be considered rude not to make good eye contact. If you are invited to dinner it is
expected to bring a small gift such as chocolates or pastries. It is important to note not to bring
gifts that are purple or black as these indicate mourning colors. And expect the gift to be opened

The Big Data
Imagine being in a room with 10 people talking to you. Would you be able to understand the
conversations? It would be hard to concentrate on any one person s conversation, but you could
probably do it. Now, imagine being at the Superdome with 70,000 people talking to you. Would
you be able to understand any of the conversations? You probably could not understand any one
person for a length of time, but again you might pick out some of the words. Well, what if the
scenario was 7 billion people speaking 6 thousand languages at an auctioneer s pace on the topic
of their personal family lineage; would you be able to create someone s whole family tree? This
is the type of scenario that represents the different facets of Big Data. What does it mean to say
big data ? Big Data is more than just massive amounts of data stored together. It is more than just
data delivered or analyzed fast. Meta Group s Doug Laney described it as data that has volume,
velocity, and variety (2001). This is the 3 V s of Big Data and is widely used to define it.
Additions to this definition include other V s, such as veracity and value (XXX). What is volume?
Volume could be 7 billion people speaking at once. It can be the data created by millions of

the volume of data being created by researchers at unprecedented amounts to chart the stars, to map

which may be determined by his social environment. Tao Qian lived during the Eastern Jin and

With that being said, it exerts pressure to the company as customers will hold a certain degree of
bargaining leverage as they can easily switch to other competitors so as to be able to gain more
profits for themselves. As a result, Nike will have to lower their product price in order to retain
and attract more customers. Hence, the high buyer power poses as a threat for the company.
3.3 Competitive Rivalry
Intense competition from established and new sportswear manufacturers and accelerated changes in
technology and consumer preferences in the industry for sportwear can potentially threaten Nike s

It is important to have clients and customers update their personal information most of the time.
By having clients change their personal information, they will be able to protect the data that
they have in their ways of living. Another way of thwarting social engineering is to avoid having
the customers reveal how they infrastructure of the company has been done and structured. It is
through concealing the way the customers get to the system. There is also a need to have
crushing of information that will reveal the data and information of the clients in the way they
will have access the data and information on the website of the company. One of the measures
that can be done in order to have secure and data protections is to destroy customer s information

Bedrocks In The Handcart Gulch
The bedrocks in the Handcart Gulch consist of Proterozoic meta sediment and meta igneous
rocks and Tertiary porphyry intrusive rocks (Bove et al 2012, Lovering 1935). Bove et al.,
(2002) measured rock properties including mineralogy, alteration, and bulk chemistry from
recovered cores. Four deep wells (WP1 WP4) were located in the upper portions of the
watershed, and nine shallow wells were along the main channels (HC wells). The WP1 was
located on ridge top of Webster Pass at 3687 m, and drilled to a depth of 610 m, and WP2 was
located in the upper portions of the watershed, and dilled to a depth of 460 m. The felsic rocks
in WP1 and 2 were hydrothermally altered due to the intrusion, and the degree of alteration varied
with depth. In upper sections, the rocks were altered to quartz sericite pyrite mineral assemblages,
whose depths extended to 300 m in WP1 and 200m in WP2. In deeper sections, the rocks were
weakly altered to propylitic assemblages that contain calcite, chlorite, and primary feldspars.

Nt1310 Unit 3 Assignment 1 Bridge
Bridge:
Bridge is a simple device that aids in interconnecting similar LAN s between local area networks
that use identical protocols for the physical and data link layers in accordance with the IEEE
802.3 standards. As the devices connected to the bridge use the same protocols, the amount of
processing required is minimal. Nowadays, routers are used more commonly to interconnect LAN
s as bridges are Layer 2 devices and pose almost no security while the router is a Layer 3 device and
offers better Data Security.
Routers:
Paraphrasing (Stallings, 2007) the function of routers is to get the packet to a destination network.

network device and sends it to that port. The switch can be configured to disconnect any attached
device, to discard frames intended for an attached device, to send frames with a specific hardware
address to another hardware address instead and to copy a frame to a mirror port which can send it

the Soviets invade and the Taliban become the dominant influence in Afghanistan. Amir s
sumptuous lifestyle comes to an end, and the values of not only his father but also his society

During a routine checkpoint, the truck driver gave the Russian soldier a payment from all of the
passengers for safe travel. Although, the soldier wanted more than just money he also wanted to
ravage one of the woman in the truck. Amir is very frightened by the soldier and especially by
his gun. Baba begins to converse with the soldier asking for decency. I want you to ask this man
something, Baba said. He said it to Karim, but looked directly at the Russian officer. Ask him
where his shame is.

They spoke. He says this is war. There is no shame in war.

Tell him he s wrong. War doesn t negate decency. It demands it, even more than in times of
peace. (Hosseini 115). Amir is bewildered his father would risk his own life for a stranger. He
even tries to stop Baba from speaking up to the soldier. This shows the contrast between Baba and
Amir. Amir knows how courageous his father is and feels guilty because he does not exhibit the
same behavior. Amir does not begin to show his inner bravery until many years later when he has
his realization. Amir is faced with many challenges in his life, but there are two major life changing

Afghanistan and Pakistan for refuge. During Amir s childhood, Amir took for granted his father s
wealth. Until one day when they heard endless gunshots coming from Soviet and Taliban machine

Factors that Contributed to Hitler s Rise to Power Essay
Factors that Contributed to Hitler s Rise to Power
Both long term and short term causes contributed to Hitler s rise to power in many ways.
The treaty of Versailles was a long term cause .It caused chaos in Germany many years after the
terms were agreed. The Germans from the beginning hated it. Hitler often spoke how he wanted to
get rid of the treaty, when he addressed his rallies, this also makes it a short term cause as it was
spoken about in Hitler s speeches at that point in time. Hitler made it matter to him, therefore it
would seem sufficient to the current situation in Germany between 1923 and 1933.

With his ideas he had for the future of his country he was sure he could win over the German
people.
The decision by Papen and Hindenburg to appoint Hitler, as chancellor is a short term inter acted
with long term cause. The decision is short term because at that stage Papen and Hindenburg were
not sure on making Hitler chancellor but they secretly met up with industrialists, army leaders and
politicians to discus the situation, and stupidly thinking they could control Hitler offered him the
post of chancellor, making this only relevant to the current situation in the short term future. At the
same time there decision is long term because they now could not go back on what they agreed
about Hitler being chancellor, even if they cant control his actions, the decision was made and the
future would now be Hitler the chancellor of Germany, a dictator. Both these long and short term
causes were necessary and extremely significant to contributing to Hitler s rise to power, by making
Hitler higher as chancellor, with more authority than ever before.
It seemed nothing would stand in the way of Hitler, once he was a dictator, not Hindenburg or
anyone else could stop him. Hitler s plan was working and the thing that got him to become
chancellor was the

Critique Of Cosmological Argument Essay
Paul Edward wrote an article, A Critique of Cosmological Argument which emphasizes his critics
on Aquinas Five Ways. He argues on the argument of the existence of First Cause a member which
is not itself caused by any prior members claimed by Thomas Aquinas. Paul argues that even the
argument is strong and sound, it doesn t proves the existenceof God; people can perceives it as the
existence of super powerful being. If finite being exist in the form of infinite being. We as human
logically demands that infinite being to be rational, omnipotent, immaterial and eternal because that
s how God is defined a Necessary Being. Edwards also does not acknowledge the argument

It is not reliant after expelling a connection from the causal series or arrangement; rather, the
arrangement itself is not clarified without anyone else and can t be on the grounds that it is not
the pith thereof to exist. For example, if you asking me for an eraser, and I do not have the
effect of having an eraser, thus it is not satisfied. No matter how many people and questions has
been asked, there will be never be an eraser, unless someone has it. Take this example and replace
it with presence or existence. In a sense, I received existence from my dad, and he from his dad,
from his dad, from his dad, etc. But this cannot go to infinity, else the present effect of your
existence would not occur. Edwards fraudulently contends Aquinas is taking ceaselessly the set to
demonstrate God. That is not the situation by any stretch of the imagination. On the off chance that
we have an unbounded arrangement of presence, it is either self brought about, uncaused or it
originated from nothing. On the off chance that self created, it would need to exist ontologically
before itself to bring itself into presence which is a level

Essay Causes Of The War Of 1812
Causes of the War of 1812 The War of 1812 was fought between the United States and Great
Britain from June 1812 to the spring of 1815 (Findling, 15). When the war began, it was being
fought by the Americans to address their grievances toward the British, though toward the end, the
issues eventually were unjustified and reasons manipulated. There is no single cause for the War of
1812but instead, several related causes, such the influence of the War Hawks, the impressments as
well as the Embargo and Non Intercourse acts, and the British s possible interference with the
Indian Nations, and land ownership disputes between the Natives and Americans, ultimately

The Hawks were confident that Britain would yield to US demands if it saw America considering
military battle. Any way, Britain was already involved with the Napoleonic Wars in Europe, thus
being short on money and men. Ultimately, the War Hawks convinced majority of congress to
vote in favor of this Second Struggle for Liberty . Though a few rebellious congressmen fought
over little details, everyone agreed that it wasn t realistic to expect a peaceful and diplomatic
conclusion to the constant divergence with Britain. In the early 19th century, Britain and France
were engaged in a life or death struggle. After much war through the years, France dominated a lot
of Europe, though Britain was the ruler of the seas. When it became obvious that neither side was
likely to win a decisive military contest, the warring nations turned to commercial warfare: Britain
tried to blockade all of Europe, and France attempted to prevent the sale of British goods in their
possession(http://gatewayno.com/history/War1812.html, War of 1812). During the 1790s, French
and British maritime policies produced several crises with the United States, but after 1803 the
difficulties became much more serious. In November of 1807, Britain issued a trade regulation
called an Order in Council, which compelled all neutral ships to either call at British ports or be
subject to a search by British authorities. A month later, Napoleon decreed

A Short Note On Scsi Test Vehicle ( Stv )
Introduction
SCSI Test Vehicle (STV) is a project to develop an FCP Storage emulator using FICON Express
16G channel adapter present on System z machine. STV is a specialized Firmware (FW) load into
a channel adapter that provides the function of a FCP Target (Fibre channel SCSI Storage Control
Unit). STV emulates IBM shark disk storage.
This document is intended at describing the design and implementation of STV Emulation support
on Power Servers/Blades. The scope of this document is mainly limited to STV component in STV
Type FC channel firmware. This document contains information collected from other documents
and design discussions. STV Emulation support on Power Servers/Blades enables qualification/test
floor teams to use the STV Type channel firmware to test SCSIstream protocol capable devices not
just on system z but other servers such as zBX and zFX as well. Problem Statement
The Current STV based storage emulator requires a FICON express I/O Hardware and system z
for emulation. This is useful for testing in a System z environment but proves uneconomical in
regular zBX or zFX qualification. Moreover since STV uses the resources within the FICON
express module, which are limited. Emulation of Enhanced features such as multipath or increased
LUNs is not possible. This limits the test coverage of the test team. This project tries to work
around some or most of the limitations by moving STV emulation to a Power server.
Limitation of STV:
High cost of testing for

Comparison Of Internal And External Conflicts And Their...
The comparison of internal and external conflicts and their affects on lives.
Essay? HOOK:
The story Blue Winds Dancing by Thomas S. Whitecloud demonstrates the experience of a native
man transitioning to his life into a white society. It exhibits the internal and external struggles in
the native s life that he encounters throughout his life. However, the native is an outcast and has
a longing to go back to his native reserve. In comparison, Angel Levine by Bernard Malamud
describes the life of a Jewish man, named Manischevitz, who lost everything: his children, his
business, and his wife because of her fatal illness. He reaches out to God, but there is no response
which also leads him to lose ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Manischevitz is distraught when a Black Angel appears to help, and he realises that all hope is
lost. This negatively affects Mr. Manischevitz because he seeks affirmation from God, although,
he does not believe in the black angel s powers. This leads Manischevitz down a spiral where he
smote to the naked bones, cursing himself for having believed in God to help him in his time of
need. On the other hand, in Blue Winds Dancing, the native also undergoes an internal conflict; the
native feels alone and lost in the White world. He feels like an outsider with no place in the
white world that he desperately wants to accept him. The native compares himself to a hobo
because they both are outsiders because they cherish different things from a typical white man.
Additionally, the native in the story does not have a name to symbolize that his experience is
very similar to many other natives who want to be apart of the white world. Overall, the native is
having an Identity crisis because he does not know whether to acculturate and become like every
other white man or go back to the blanket because it is familiar to him. He longs for home because
he does not agree with the white man s customs of getting a hill and wanting a mountain . He wants
to return back home where people can be free and the native can truly be himself. These internal
conflicts are similar because both protagonists encounter identity crises which cause them to seek
affirmation in their faith

The Theory Of Biological Evolution
Social Darwinism is defined as the application of the theory of biological evolution to human
affairs. It was used to justify and clarify many notions of nationalism and imperialism. Science
played a huge role in the coming about of this new discovery but in reality, the society shaped the
science of what it was about. Charles Darwinwas the root of new era and was profound to come up
with the theory of evolution. His theory had become one the fundamental unifying principles of
modern biology and led to questioning in regards to what was previously stated in the past.
In the 19th century, the United States and Europe underwent tons of changes. Because of the
Industrial Revolution, Americans were off of the farms, and moved into the cities to work in
offices and factories. Steel manufacturing became the dominant industry with an abundance of iron
coal. There was easy access to cheap water transportation routes which aided in speeding the nation
s economy. In Europe, they too experienced the rise of industrialization; Europeans were also
leaving the farms to migrate to cities in search of jobs, technology and trade. However, this new
liberal capitalism upset the balance of power in the European society causing unrest. Prior to the
19th Century, religion provided the moral, governing perimeters throughout a society. Colonization,
up until this point, was justified by divine right. Commoners did not question those in power; they

  • 2. Thales Of Miletus And The Elastic School Of Philosophy From Thales of Miletus, the first ancient Greek philosopher, to Socrates and Aristotle, ancient Greek philosophy has set the standard for modern intellectual and rational thought. They developed new ways of reasoning and logic to explain the natural phenomena that surround them. Reality, existence, and the essence of things were the basis of what these philosophers sought to rationalize. In this paper, I will be discussing the epistemology and ontologypresented by The Eleatics, the Pluralists, and The Atomists. These three Pre Socratic schools often opposed one another s epistemological and ontological views. However, each critic resulted in even more theories and laws that we still use to this day. Their works also improved the standard for argument which became of great use to the future Classical and modern philosophers. The Eleatics The Elastic School of Philosophy, established by Parmenides in the fifth century, was best known for the development of early philosophers including Zeno of Elea and Xenophanes of Colophon. The Elastics works often pointed to their use of logic and reason rather than sense experience to find the ultimate truths . These ultimate truths were concerned with the Being and Becoming of things rather than the origin of the things themselves. In this section, we are going to focus primarily on the school s prominent advocates: Parmenides, writer of On Nature, and Zeno, founder of the dialectic method. Together, Parmenides and Zeno laid the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Secret Intelligence Branch Of The Shin Bet If there is one thing true about this documentary is the depressing, and pessimistic nature of it. The Shin Bet, Israel s equivalent of the FBI act as the secret intelligence branch that serves to protect Israel from behind the scenes, and Unseen Shield, if you will. The six ex leaders of the Shin Bet all portray the recent decades of Israels undercover militaristic organisation by retelling some of their past actions and experiences. All six tell of their actions, that would shock us uninitiated civilians, with surprising bluntness. One man seems like the typical gentle grandpa wearing suspenders, who is subsequently called a bully and a monster, another younger man is very collected yet obviously troubled by the job. And then there is also Ami the bald gaunt man who likes to quote intellectuals. All speak about the political history of Israel and how they re work has fundamentally changed them. One of the most important change they face is their entire strategy involving the Palestinian issue. Their tactics need to change from simply removing extremists to diplomatic solutions. At the very beginning of the film the man Yuval Diskin introduces the most thought provoking theme of the documentary, it s unnatural to have the power to give the word and end a man s life in an instant. In these moments when a person has to decide between taking the shot and killing a known terrorist and potentially innocent lives around him, or decline and let the man go on to do some ... • 4. Differences Between Viruses And Widespread Spread There is a trade off between rate of transmission and duration of infection. If a pathogen can gain increased reproduction by using host resources, or doing anything that helps itself and hurts the host, that tactic can be selected for. A pathogen gains from leaving the host mobile, which generally entails leaving the host alive. A virus spreads only if an infected individual passes the virus on to more than one new host. However, if a virus is too aggressive and kills its host fast its fitness is not as successful. When the virus makes its host sicker, it reduces its ability to spread due to death or isolation from other people. The virus would then have a low evolutionary fitness unless it sufficiently increases its chance of being transmitted by killing its host. When a virus infects a new host species they may be susceptible to highly virulent strains. In order to be successful in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Droplet occurs when bacteria or viruses travel on relatively large respiratory droplets that people sneeze, cough, drip, or exhale, such as the common cold. Airborne transmission is similar. Viruses travel on dust particles that become aerosolized when people sneeze, cough, laugh, or exhale, and hang in the air. They can travel on air currents over large distances. Anthrax, Chickenpox, Influenza, Measles, Smallpox, and Tuberculosis are examples of this . Vector borne disease organisms are important factors that promote the evolutionary increases of virulence. Disease organisms transmitted through vectors like mosquitoes, tend to be much more damaging than diseases that are simply transmitted by people coughing or sneezing (droplet transmission). In vector borne diseases immobilizing the host does not prevent transmission, but it might even enhance it. Experimental studies indicate that mosquitoes are better able to bite a laboratory animal when it is sick with a vector borne disease such as malaria than when it is healthy ... • 5. What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Soybean Soybean is an important crop, with food, nutritional, industrial, and pharmaceutical uses. Soybean seeds contain about 40% protein and about 20% oil. They are also abundant in physiologically active metabolites such as isoflavones, lecithins, tocopherols and saponins, in addition to functional proteins and are used as an affordable source of foods that promote and maintain health (Sugano 2005). The genomic era is now under way for soybean, as for other many crops. Recently, a soybean genomics database has been developed from the whole genome sequence (Schmutz et al. 2010), and a large number of genomic, transcriptional, and functional annotated sequences can be retrieved from Phytozome In addition to efforts to sequence the whole genome, several ... ADVANTAGES OF SOYBEAS TRANSFORMATION пѓ Insect and nematode resistance Insecticidal crystal proteins (cry proteins or Оґ endotoxins) are an active component of Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt) toxin, a biological insecticide (Tabashnik 1994). Expression of the Bt cry gene in soybean has proven highly effective for controlling insect pests , and the resistance to lepidopteran pests in a transgenic line expressing Bt cry1A was confirmed under field conditions пѓ Disease resistance Soybean mosaic virus (SMV) is endemic in virtually all regions where soybeans are grown in the presence of vector insects. SMV can cause serious yield losses (Ross 1969), so virus resistance is an essential trait for introduction пѓ Abiotic stress tolerance Drought stress is one of the major environmental limitations on crop production. • 6. Riordan Manufacturing s Implementation Stage Riordan Manufacturing s implementation stage is going to take a group effort. To combine talents from many different fields to complete this stage of the project effectively. This implementation will rely on the human resources department and the information technology departments. We included both departments in the design and development processes. The developers have chosen a software package that was designed by Microsoft to implement the Riordan HRIS. The decision was largely pushed due to the fact that Riordan current OS is the Windows platform. Our team will be implementing the Microsoft base software, which will automatically create a new database on the MySql. Using the waterfall approach the system developers will be able to focus on one piece of the system and move on each part separately. This will give the design team more time to focus on small sections of the new coding. Moving from one stage to the next means that each step has been checked thoroughly and is completed. According to Implementation Phase Recommendations (2014), During the testing phase, these test cases are implemented, automated, and initially executed to verify that, as various parts of the system reach code complete, testing is ready to verify performance. In addition, anticipate running the verification tests many times during a test pass as performance bottlenecks are identified and fixes provided. • 7. Bruckner s 8th Symphony Essay With a sense of mystery, highly acclaimed New York Philharmonic conductor Lorin Maazel opened Bruckner s 8th symphony with a tremolo on the strings and then repeats this tremolando in forte while the brass gloriously brought in the first major theme. Amidst the bright colors and amazing acoustics at Disney Hall, the audience sat in eager anticipation; many of the present members were experienced with Bruckner s pieces and Wagnerian style. Sitting next to me, David Barry of the LA Philharmonic Board of Directors gave me an introduction to the history of Disney Hall, the LA Philharmonic musicians, and Anton Bruckner. He quickly detailed several prominent musicians profiles, including that of the only timpanist at the concert, and then, he... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This astounding range of emotions, within just a few bars, was so new to me; at first, I was afraid that I misunderstood the music. I had never heard music with such a strong Romantic style before, but as the concert went on, I let the music wash over myself and lead my imagination to experience Bruckner s dazzling array of emotions portrayed in this work. Maazel s brilliant portrayal of Bruckner s swaying emotions was evident as the pizzicato on the strings transitioned into the brass, fiercely bellowing the third theme. With my inexperience, I was rather uncomfortable with the sudden and almost jarring shifts in the mood at first, but gradually, I began to appreciate how Bruckner alternated between his themes, using them, as Mark Swed of the LA Times noted, as gigantic melodic building blocks to construct a massive cathedral of sound. Despite the complex, intertwining development of the three themes, the first movement vanishingly surrendered itself, as elusively as the introduction. In the subsequent scherzo, David Berry explained some of the influences of Beethoven, my favorite composer, had on Bruckner s piece. Although I didn t really understand much, the second movement s numerous reiterations of the bold principal theme left me feeling as if I were caught in a powerful thunderstorm of divine glory, a contrast of loving compassion for the ... • 8. Peoria Analysis The choice of Peoria, IL an IRS office in the Midwest to set the novel is anything but coincidental. Apart from being one of the very few rather unpopular American institutions, it is also, largely, extremely efficient, which is aptly summarized by the sardonic but true observation often ascribed to Benjamin Franklin (who used it in the current form in a letter to Jean Baptiste Leroy in 1789 but dating back to Daniel Defoe s Political History of the Devil written in 1726), that in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes . But the inevitability of tax burden placed on an average citizen is not the only thing that is characteristic of the U.S. Inland Revenue: dealing with millions of tax returns and myriads of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The latter expression is a direct quote from 1 Corinthians 13:11, clearly implying something akin to a quasi religious awakening whereby a self professed slacker and wastoid , ironically through his inability to pay attention, evolves into a full on accountant. At this point, in order to further explore the theme of boredom in The Pale King, let us revisit the definition of boredom itself after all, to say that the novel is simply a book about boredom would be a serious understatement. The Pale King is not just about the psychological side of this phenomenon, it actually reaches much deeper the religious references described above clearly point to acedia, a concept associated with monastic hermits. This is not just weltschmertz, ennui, malaise, or the good, familiar, everyday boredom: unlike the first three terms, acedia is a high grade philosophical and existential boredom that is combined with despair. And apart from just using it as a motif, Wallace proposes a way to deal with it by paying attention. It is by paying ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Greeting of the guests is at some point in a Church Service (usually around the beginning of a Sunday morning service) the Pastor, or Music Minister will direct the congregation, specifically church members to go out and specifically find someone who is visiting, target them out and begin talking to them. I will look into the positive and negative aspects of this practice, and what the church should or shouldn t do in practicing this event every Sunday morning. Paul was a scholar of the Old Testament, and there s no doubt he knew about laws; but after his encounter with God on the road to Damascus, he was introduced to grace which is something we all need (but we don t deserve). Paul s letters to early Christians help contribute a code of ethics for believers to live by in all sorts of situations, even things we may not think about like head coverings or meat that may have been sacrificed to pagan idols. As Christians we should not be boasting about whatever it is we have accomplished, because without God we could get nothing accomplished, rather we should rejoice with each other that God gave us opportunities for us to show his glory and make it know to other people. With this approach, it seems that materialism has been around as long as people have had possessions, however, it seems that in today s culture, many more people a susceptible to a materialist mindset. In My Life there has been many times where I have fallen victim to gloating about my accomplishments, not necessarily purposely, but taking credit for things that weren t my responsibility. I cannot recall if I have committed this sin in the act of greeting of new visitors, but I know that I have acted upon this fleshly desire before. In present work structure based drug design and synthesis was carried out on series of meso substituted porphyrin analogues. The interaction of porphyrin derivatives with G quadruplex DNA has been explored by virtual screening procedure. Some of the potential binding agents were then synthesized and evaluated in vitro by MTT and PCR stop assay. The study indicates that these compounds had strong G Quadruplex binding affinity with very good inhibitoryactivity in MCF 7 and A549 cell lines. Role Of A Moderator I believe everybody has a clean chance of becoming staff, and I hope to be among that statement, being staff is a big responsibility, it is mandatory to keep focus and stay on tract at all times, they are going to have to be respectful and loyal after a good example is set.
