Global Access For Crowd Capital
The implications for entrepreneurs seeking to gain global access to crowd capital are discussed
encompassing seven streams impacting the entrepreneurship innovation process from product concept,
design leading up to commercialization of resulting intellectual property from crowdsourced
initiatives along the lines of: (1) decision to buy, build or borrow the crowdsourcing platform; (2)
ownership, technology transfer, and intellectual property rights; (3) leveraging value network,
globalization, virtual communities, collectivities and social media; (4) financial model and innovation
commercialization; (5) leveraging the business model and value creation by aggregating key
competencies between the firm and the crowd while facilitating IP ... Show more content on

Each of these options has advantages and disadvantages. Commercial software can be expensive.
Moreover, it may have more functionality that is not warranted (e.g. prediction capabilities, idea
reward currency, etc). To date, larger corporations, such as IBM, Dell, Cisco Systems, and Ericsson,
have elected to build their own tools. Most have done so using internal staff and available platforms
that conform to their IT environments. In the case of IBM, which has the most advanced tool, major
upgrades have been done annually by external contractors with expertise not available in house. One
advantage of developing a tool is the ability to customize it to the organization s need. On the other
hand, as an increasing number of organizations become interested in adopting crowdsourcing tools, it
becomes inefficient and uneconomical for entrepreneurs to build and code the platform from scratch.
Furthermore, these synergistic solutions of customizing off the shelf commercial solution won t work
well if desired results aren t clearly defined early in the crowdsourcing process. Using in house
development to enhance the off the shelf features of a crowdsourcing commercial

Study Hall Hour Research Paper
Did you know that homework can actually be counterproductive? This is why all students should have
a study hall hour. Denise Pope, co author of a study published in the Journal of Experimental
Education, found that too much homework is associated with greater stress, reduction in health, and
less time for friends, family and extracurricular pursuits. Having study hall prevents the negative
effects of homework. Having study hall benefits the students as well as the teachers. Do teachers like
when students fall asleep in class because they were up late doing homework? That would change
with study hall. In Denise Pope s study 56 percent of the students considered homework a primary
stress. High school students are under a great amount of stress

Principles of Physiology in Health and Social care. Assignment 1 1.1 Discuss with the use of diagrams
the main anatomical features of the human body Introduction The human body is like a machine, and
like many machines it is made up of many different features and parts. The main anatomical features
of the human body include; the cells, skeletal system and muscular system. These systems can relate
to/work with other systems within the body. This can include the cardiovascular system working with
the digestive system by breaking down food to make the nutrients that are then transported around the

Some of these different types of cells are Muscle cells. These muscle cells are for helping movement.
There are also nerve cells. These cells are used for carrying messages around the body so that the body
is able to react to things such as pain. When cells are grouped together they form what is known as a
tissue. Different types of tissue make up different types of organs. The 3 main types of tissue are
Muscular, Nerve and Epithelial. The muscular tissue is made up of three forms, they include the
skeletal, smooth and cardiac tissues. Skeletal tissue is voluntary which means that it is used in the
movements of the skeletal components. The Nerve tissue is a group of cells which react to, many
different types of stimuli. They transmit messages throughout the body which can include things such
as temperature, pain, and pressure. Epithelial tissue is when cells that form together create the lining
of a surface an example of this would be the skin and muscle tissue. The Skeletal System The skeletal
system works as the frame of the body and it is made up of two hundred and six various bones. The
Sections used in the movements of the skeletal system are; the bones, Joints, ligaments and tendons.
This system is also divided into two sections known as the Axial and Appendicular skeleton. The

With the age all of the numbers were very close together, so I think most just guessed. Which is why
the numbers are fairly consistent. With your father s occupation for me the pilot seemed plausible.
Maybe it wouldn t seem very likely if we lived anywhere else but with the wright Patterson air force
base so close by it was a strong possibility that he could have been a pilot. Not just the Wright Patt,
but with Ohio being one of the birth places of aviation, the possibility got stronger. At least in my

event will occur by how easily these instances come to mind. (Markus 123) With your favorite music,

The Impact Of Cultural Differences On Project Management...
Executive Summary
The focus of this research paper is to demonstrate the need for project management, identify the
current and future trends within project management around the world, and discuss the effects of
cultural differences on project management. Project management was first used in civil engineering
and architecture projects but it soon spread to other industries such as the automobile and
communication industries. After technological advancements, such as improvements in computer
mainframes and softwares, project management softwares emerged to help manage complex projects.
These programs along with locating and retaining the right type of talent within an organization
becomes a crucial part of an organization s structure and ultimately their success. Organizations must
be able to assign the right people, with the right technical and soft skills, to the right project.
Certification programs and in house trainings are now available to help improve project managers
technical skills, communication skills, and other soft skills needed to be effective/successful. There
has also been an increased interest within organizations to reach a higher level of project management
maturity. As businesses continue to expand and new opportunities in the market trigger the emerging
of new companies, there is an increasing demand for project managers nationally and globally. Project
management roles are expected to increase up to 28.1 million between 2010 and 2020. Utilizing

Tragic Fault In Romeo And Juliet
Romeo and Juliet essay There are many people at fault for the tragic ending of the play Romeo and
Juliet. The 2 main characters that played the biggest part in the tragic ending. friar Lawrence because
he married Romeo and Juliet, thinking that he would stop the feud, he sent a very important letter to
Romeo in mantua without mentioning the importance, he gave a potion to Juliet and he fled the tomb
when Juliet needed him most. Capulet, this powerful male made the party that Romeo and Juliet met

George Dickie And I On The Aesthetic Attitude
George Dickie and I on the Aesthetic Attitude Does the term aesthetic attitude have a true definition,
or is it just a crafted myth charged with freeing the Aesthetic theory from an obsessive concern with
beauty? Is the idea of the aesthetic attitude a misleading way of understanding the aesthetic
experience? George Dickie tackles these tough questions in his critique of the aesthetic attitude titled,
The Myth of Aesthetic Attitude (which will from now on be referred to as TMAA). In this essay I will
discuss Dickies critique of the aesthetic attitude. In the first half I will consider the three main ways
Dickie characterizes the aesthetic attitude and explain why he considers it to be a myth. In the second
half I will examine the three reasons Dickie believes the aesthetic attitude is a misleading way to
understand the aesthetic experience and also explain why I strongly agree with his beliefs. George
Dickie begins his essay by introducing three theories that he categorizes according to how strongly he
believes they characterize the aesthetic attitude. He argues that the strongest theory, posed by distance
theorists Edward Bullough and Sheila Dawson, revolves around the technical term distance used in a
way similar to, The man ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

love with her, than what on earth does? I know for a fact that I examine things for how they look and

Although the recidivism cannot accurately be measured just by using arrest data because not all crime

determine whether they have committed crimes since entering or exiting a program or sanction.
Another one is analyzing officially recorded criminal justice events like arrests, convictions, and

Vioxx and Merck Co. Essay
Vioxx/Merck
Summary
The painkiller Vioxx was introduced in 1999 by Merck amp; Co. It has been used by over 20 million
Americans since it was put on the market. Vioxx remained on the market for approximately five years
without adequate warnings about its risks. In September of 2004, Merck took Vioxx off the market
after a study revealed that it doubled the risk of heart attack or stroke for patients that used it for more
than 18 months. Although Merck claimed that they had no idea of these possibly lethal side effects,
some internal documents imply that they had been aware of the problem for years and had not made
moves to change it. Over 300 lawsuits have been filed against Merck, and it is expected that thousands
more will arise. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Without their votes, the committee would have voted that Vioxx should not return to the market.
Response
Personally, I was shocked by the Merck/Vioxx situation. I could not believe that something that was
basically proven to cause heart attacks and strokes was permitted to be put on the market in the first
place, and the fact that it may be brought back is horrible. I believe that things are being handled
terribly. Since so many of the members of the committee are financially connected with Merck amp;
Co., they would obviously vote in a way that would support the company, and in turn, benefit
themselves. It seems that the value of the well being of the patients that use this medication is being
neglected while the Merck and its associates simply look out for themselves.
I do not believe that Vioxx should be put back on the market. For one thing, it has already become
clear how detrimental its side effects can be. Another reason is that allowing this drug to be put back
on the market will only discourage efforts made to create drugs that will be just as effective but
without the negative side effects. I also disagree with the statement made by the committee, which
basically said that it was acceptable to disburse this drug as long as it had a warning and that a person
should be able to

I was born in Russian Far East, at a controversial Sakhalin island. The island belong to the chain of
islands of the east cost of Russia that is contested by Japan as their own. Around 1950, USSR was
colonizing second half of Sakhalin island, as a result, a lot of young people was sent over or came
over to build out the island s economy. My parents were among those settlers. With musical and
railroad engineering background, they end up serving in police force and military intelligence division

Looking back, I think this is where I seeded my carrier in Computer industry. During that time, I built
several basic computers on i8080 and Zilog Z80 microprocessors, learned assembler programming
and concepts of software development utilizing advanced languages such as BASIC. Even before I
finished school, I was spending all available time at University Data Center, growing and practicing
new skills. It was that time when, I put a group of fellow students together to learn and develop
software on PDP 11 computers. That group carried me through a whole period of my life in Russia.
As I was deeply submerged into Computers, Russia was evolving under Eltsin leadership. One of the
radical change brought was to open a door back again for Soviet Entrepreneurs. That change created a
slew of software development companies which begun changing Soviet Union from the inside out.
Few of my friends and I went on and open software development startup. By that time, I was attending
2nd year of University and was working as computer network administrator in the Power Station
Design Company.
Computer networks were becoming a necessity of any business and my sphere of interest. The more I
thought, the more I get puzzled on how to take computer networks to public. I found about the
existence of the modems, BBS and FIDOnet. FIDOnet was a hierarchical dial up network of

Cost-Benefit Analysis of Arbitration
Cost benefit analysis of arbitration
Introduction
Arbitration is legal technique used to resolve any disputes outside of the courts. Arbitration allows for
speedy and cheap resolution of any disputes, the parties involved in a dispute agree to appoint a third
person (arbitrator) who will hear their testimonies, and look into the evidence they provide. The
arbitrator s decision cannot be challenged in a law court as it is considered final and the parties
involved have to accept the decision (Brams Merrill, 1986). There are only very limited circumstances
where the decision of an arbitrator can be challenged, and this is mostly if there can be proof from one
of the parties showing that the arbitrator was biased in their decision or ruling. The chosen arbitrator
will be an experienced person in the area of the dispute.
Arbitration Costs
The costs involved in normal arbitration are minimal and the amount of time the arbitrator takes in
order to reach a decision is short as compared to normal litigation cases. The costs are minimal as
there is no need for judges and juries to be involved. Some arbitration decisions may drag on for
longer just as the normal litigation cases, and this would increase the costs incurred in preparation for
the arbitration. The arbitrator s fees vary depending on the amounts involved in the suite and also the
country where the arbitration will take place. Considering that the deals the firm is signing are for $1
million then the fees will be

Different Personalities in Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli Essay
How far can you go to lose yourself? What distance are we willing to tred to dim the glow of your
own starlight? In Jerry Spinelli s Stargirl several characters have vastly different personalities. Or do
they? Is Leo Borlock really different from Hillary Kimble? Do they not both care for normality? For
the attention of others? When Stargirl Caraway arrives, a butterfly engulfed by mist, the world shifted
and grasped for an opportunity to hold onto something... divergent. An anomaly so far down their

It is society as a whole telling us the individuality can be reached while raising you to conform to its
generalized population. In the previously cited book, Stargirl Caraway embodies this idea. Leo
Borlock, on the other hand, embodies the rest of us. As children, our minds are our own, and we
follow the ways of this extrovert girl that thinks deserts dance and enchanted places are a reality.
While, as we grow society has unexplicitly forced us to follow the group, because they have really not
given us any other options. This can be related to Robert Frost s poem Nothing Gold Can Stay in
which children are unique and golden, although slowly they begin to see things with the rest of the
world, through a single point of view, and lose their individual color.
Furthermore, any person s individuality is delicate. And extremely fragile. A friend or loved one can
very easily change someone, even if it s very slight. As kids, we have idols. People we deeply admire
and wish to be like. We do anything, even while growing up, to bend ourselves to become what we
feel is comfortably close to our hero. This is why we large populations torturing their bodies

taste of feeling perfect. On and on we struggle for approval, and we don t even know whose. Leo, for
example, would do anything to receive approval from Stargirl, the girl he loves. As she proved

Essay on Analaysis of the American Way
No matter how liberty and freedom are defined, America and its people have always prided itself on
being founded on their principles. Looking back at the founding of America , slavery, Civil War,
emancipation, reconstruction, and the times following all the way through today I would say everyone
should ask, is liberty truly the American Way?
Since I have not yet taken American History 1, I had to look outside this week s readings to review the
Monroe Doctrine and Manifest Destiny that lead to some of the attitudes and events covered. In 1823
in the Monroe Doctrine, America essentially told Europe and other powers in the eastern hemisphere

These problems with people and the suppression of freedom were not confined to the frontier but the
south and north as well.
In the south, African Americans were technically free but the 1896 case of Plessey vs. Ferguson
established legal segregation. Worse than segregation were the lynchings. In 1898, Ida B. Wells
Barnett wrote, Mr. President , the colored citizens of this country in general, and Chicago in particular,
desire to respectfully urge that some action be taken by you the chief magistrate of this great
nation........For nearly twenty years lynching crimes, which stand side by side with Armenian and
Cuban outrages, have been committed and permitted by this Christian nation. (Wells Barnett) The
north was plagued with discrimination against Slavic and Italian immigrants. While American born
citizens moved into management and skilled labor jobs new immigrants were given less skilled work
many times based on discrimination rather than qualifications.
Both the racism already prevalent in American and nationalism led America to not only seeking to
expand in the west but overseas. As with Manifest Destiny Americans felt the obligation to right the
wrongs of not just on this continent but in world and the western hemisphere in particular. Governor

were the war in Vietnam and civil rights. This era changed the way the public was able view the
events, there was television and photography which allowed the world to see for the first time what
war was about and journalism was not always unbiased. This era was an era of advancement, where
many protested the war, there were the civil rights movement activists striving to gain equality for all

country, a war against poverty and inequality. People of color were fighting for their rights to be seen
as equals in the labor force, education, and in the military. One of the famous leaders of the civil rights
movement was Martin Luther King Jr. who was backed by President Lyndon B, Johnson. President
LBJ was interested in creating welfare programs that would benefit those in poverty and give them
hope, he was all about creating a level playing field to create opportunities that would benefit society
as a whole. According to the Virginia Historical Society there was a piece written by P. B. Young,
editor of the Norfolk Journal and Guide, a newspaper at the time, wrote a few touching words to
Liberals, Help us get some of the blessings of democracy here at home before you jump on the free

Roosevelt s wife, Eleanor, said The nation cannot expect the colored people to feel that the U.S. is

that young black men faced in the military it was still a better option than being unemployed and

Rhetorical Analysis Of The Ugly Tourist
Rhetorical Analysis of The Ugly Tourist Daily, hundreds of thousands of people are traveling, whether
it s by plane, car, bus, boat, or foot, people are traveling to new locations and being immersed in
different cultures. Many fail to realize how ignorant of a tourist they are. Kincaid explains that tourists
are morally ugly and use other, less fortunate people, for their own amusement. She tries to enlighten
those who are privileged to be more considerate when they are visiting new places. Published author
Jamaica Kincaid wrote The Ugly Tourist, originally written in her book, A Small Place, where she tries
to convince readers that tourists are, a piece of rubbish (207). Kincaid s attempt to convey to the
audience that tourists are ignorant and morally ugly is partially successful, due to her satisfactory
emotional appeal, yet inability to produce a less angry tone, along with minimal logical appeal. To
begin, Kincaid uses emotional appeal throughout the essay to further her argument. She begins by
painting the audience a picture of themselves in their everyday life. Walking with an everyday crowd,
they begin to realize how alone you feel in this crowd, how awful it is to go unnoticed, how awful it is
to go unloved (Kincaid 206). Kincaid starts off her piece by making her audience feel isolated and
alone, setting the tone for the rest of the piece. She makes the everyday audience, who can afford to
escape their everyday life, feel unappreciative of their situation. This furthers her argument by making
the audience feel poorly about things they may take for granted, that many natives from poorer
countries cannot afford. They may have the luxury to travel outside of their bubble, while natives do
not have the same luxury as them. In addition, Kincaid makes the reader feel embarrassed. Kincaid
restates, An ugly thing, that is what you are when you become a tourist, an ugly, empty thing, a stupid
thing, a piece of rubbish pausing here and there... behind their closed doors they laugh at your
strangeness (207). She gives the reader the idea that the natives are mocking tourists because they are
not familiar with their surroundings. Where people should feel the joy of exploring new places,

Bureaucrats Vs Political Parties
The Constitution contains a self contradictory structure that monopolist government bureaucrats and
the police have been ignoring for many decades. In fact, it is the very Constitutionally mandated
monopolies that bureaucrats illegitimately have that violate our God given rights. A century of
government central planning has created generations of shortsighted, irresponsible rulers in America.
With rule by emotion and not reason, we have police, legislative and court bureaucrats who do not
seem able to see things form the point of view of an individual being criminally victimized by agents
of the State. This immediately violates the individual s right to establish voluntary contracts with

Reading Philosophy
Reading Philosophy
In order for a child to excel in school they need to be well versed in reading therefore; I believe that it
is vital for all children to learn to read. Not only should reading be a fun and enjoyable experience but
something that influences the child to succeed in all subject areas. Reading is an integral part of life
that needs to be mastered. A child can master the basics of reading in the early years and should be
learned at that time due to the aggravation and frustration of learning those skills later on, as he/she
gets older. Although there are many children and adults alike that hate to read it is our job to spark an
interest in these children so they will find reading enjoyable. All of the aspects of ... Show more

Also, phonics instruction is essential when a child is learning to read for the very first time. Again,
research shows us that in order for our children to read and benefit from phonics the child must have
phonemic awareness. Fluency is another factor that comes into play because when students struggle to
read they have trouble comprehending the text. Fluency is accomplished only when a child practices
constantly so he/she can become proficient

Fire blazed everywhere, rushing through the island s forest as poor Billy cried on the warm beaches of

name Juan, strong, bossy, and a leader. Juan s leg hurt bad and even tho he couldn t walk well he still

Life Solutions Center Observation Report
Hi Maud,
I m happy we had the chance to speak Tuesday morning.
You requested an email listing the ideas I ve had (and that we ve spoken of in the past) for the Life
Solutions Center.
Let me begin with my perspective. It s my observation that the Life Solutions Center has grown, not
only in membership and clients visiting the center, but also in reputation and influence in the
community. I believe the center should try to increase it s influence and capitalize on it. So, what
would this look like?
If the Life Solutions Center is recognized by the surrounding Universities as a place that interns can
work and get college credits we should tap on that resource and well as paid help in implementing the
following:
Videos: Quick, fun, interesting to post to the web site but more importantly all social media outlets.
We would come up with a theme such as Question of the week , Life Solution Tip for This Week ,
And, most importantly, at the end there would be a question such as, Is there something in your life
that you need a solution for ? They would have a consistent format including music, etc. I have a call
out to someone who does this for a living to give me advice on how to go about it the most
economical way and of course how to make it easy for anyone watching to get to the subject matter ...

I do think, however, there was too much going on that evening for students or parents to really absorb
what the speakers had to offer. That kind of serious, proactive group would be great to have an
evening where we had their full attention and the attention of their parents. If we did that we would
want to know, in advance, who was attending beforehand and what things they are thinking of for the
next step and future steps of the Ram Council. This way the presentations would then be geared
toward what they want and need, succinct and interactive. I think this way will build rapport and

Don t Judge A Book By Its Cover
Don t judge a book by its cover was a saying during my childhood I heard every day. Growing up I
was not the handsome boy you ever seen. I had a double chin, side rolls, and my stomach overlap my
waistline. That s where the name I received, fat boy came from was because of my appearance. That
name for some reason made my father and brother laugh till tears come out. As I got older the double,
side rolls, and my overlapping stomach started to slim and made me start looking normal size. As I
was starting to look human all of sudden these pimples and acne started to appear. Transitioning to this
stage of my life which caused my mom to teach me a valuable lesson and that was to Don t judge a
book by its cover . As I was growing up my family and I had what we like to call weekly reunions,
which started in 2000 as I was approaching age 4. These reunions consist of playing cards such as
poker or blackjack, kids would be outside playing kickball and musical chairs, and the grownups
would be competing in a drinking contest. When daylight started shifting to night we would always
get together in a big circle and sing songs by James Brown or Charlie Wilson on the karaoke machine.
Then in the last 15 minutes our grandparents and great grandparents would tell us life stories, in which
these was very motivational and inspiring. As years pass these weekly reunions was starting to
become a tradition but these weekly reunions started to become torture for my mom. There is a total of

Essay on Faith as a Basis of Knowledge in Religion
According to the bible in Hebrews 11:1 faith is said to be an assurance of things that are hoped for,
evidence of things that are unseen, on the other hand, faith is generally defined as a strong assurance
based on assumptions but not a certain decision based on evidence. Throughout history faith as basis
of knowledge has been regarded as a controversial issue, especially in religion. This is mainly because
religion is archaic, there are no traces of evidence but people strongly believe in it and they consider it
as the truth. In science as the other area of knowledge, faith is founded on philosophies that scientist
have proposed and disproved based on data. Nonetheless, faith is something that s very personal and a
lot of emotion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unlike science, most people hinge on supernatural happenings in order to strengthen their belief, due
to faith it has weakened religion because there is no evidence that s rational enough to support it. Take
for instance, biblical claims are crammed with hidden connotations such as proverbs and various
accounts such as the virgin birth of Jesus, the burning bush witnessed by Moses and the walking on
water are perceived as either being misinterpreted, or embellished because the logic doesn t add up
and their hasn t been any similar occurrences observed that could support this claims. Nevertheless,
many people have stated that their religion is true and real; however there is a lot of emotion entangled
in the belief which exposes certain people to confirmation bias. Most people are too obstructed to see
something that s beyond their religion, considering the fact that there is no justification and evidence
which makes it an even more fallible assumption. On the other hand, with religion comes faith and
what faith tries to do, is to enlighten that the
higher being cannot be studied in order to be comprehended therefore blind faith is the only way get to
understand the purpose of this higher being . In the bible it s hard to present evidence however,
recently a potent relic of Christianity was exhibited which stirred up debate because throughout
history religion has been passed across

ELL students are grouped together in these classes so they can receive differential instruction and have
peer support. Students with 504 plans are supported by the school counselors and teachers to ensure
they are receiving accommodations necessary depending on their disability. Students with
Individualized Education Plans (IEP) are supported by the school counselors, teachers, and special
education case managers. Students receive support as determined by their IEP s, with some receiving
ongoing counseling with a school psychologist, placement in directed studies classes or in sheltered
and co teach classes to receive direct resource support. These support systems in place at Carlsbad
High School are a multi tiered approach to best meet student s individual needs.
During my internship experience I recognized that I when I start working with a student I see them
first as a student then explore and evaluate the cultural factors that are impacting them. Rather than
my current practice of doing this sequentially I believe I should be doing this concurrently. Culture,
whether it is ethnicity, class, or students with disabilities, goes hand in hand with supporting a student
towards success in their academic, personal/social, and career domains. It is important that as a school
counselor I am developing a strong rapport with my students

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Lo Essay
Louis XIV and Peter the Great
Both Louis XIV and Peter the Great were famous rulers of the late 17th early 18th Centuries. Both
took the throne at a young age and both had many strengths and weaknesses. Louis XIV had many
strengths during his reign as ruler of France. Appointing Jean Baptiste Colbert as his minister of
finance made some of his greatest strengths and accomplishments. One strength was that of
mercantilism, which is an economic theory under which a country increases its wealth by exporting
more goods than it imports. By accomplishing this, Louis XIV made himself and France very wealthy.
More wealth was made when a balance of trade brought more gold and silver into France. A high tax

He always demanded opera and made it popular. He was also the principal patron of many famous
artists, and brought their work into Versailles. His palace housed many people, including 1,000 nobles
and their 4,000 servants in the palace s 226 rooms. Another 5,000 servants were housed in nearby
annexes.
In addition to his strengths, Louis XIV had weaknesses. After Colbert died, Louis made one mistake
that undid all of his work. He revoked Edict of Nantes who protected the religious freedom of the
Huguenots. Instead of being imprisoned, more than 200,000 Huguenots fled from France. The country
lost many of its skilled workers and business leaders. Louis XIV also fought many costly wars that
caused his people great suffering. Many of the wars left France on the brink of bankruptcy.
Peter the Great had many strengths, but his best was he modernized Russia. By seeing Europe, he
changed many things. He changed the calendar so the New Year would be January 1. He increased
agriculture by growing new crops and increased the number of factories in Russia. He also started the
first Russian newspaper and enlarged their army to 200,000 men. He also got a warm water port for
his window on the sea.
A big weakness for Peter the Great was he ignored and abused the people of his country. Many of the
changes were for the sake of increasing his own power. He ordered many

Root Rot Caused By M. Phaseolina
Root rot caused by M. phaseolina (a soil as well as seed borne fungus) is a devastating disease of
mungbean and causes serious yield losses. The present study has demonstrated that the fungus induced
severe root rot in mungbean cv. T 44 and exhibited significant decline in the plant growth and yield.
This has verified that the tested mungbean cv. T 44 was susceptible to the root rot fungus. Rotting of
tap root and presence of few lateral roots is the characteristic symptom of the disease. Because of few
lateral roots and root hairs, drying and withering of leaves occurs due to less water absorption. During
the initial stages of pathogenesis, the fungal hyphae penetrates the root epidermis which is restricted to
the intercellular spaces of the cortical tissues of the primary roots. Due to this, collapse of adjacent
cells occurs and heavily infected plantlets may die. Afterwards at the onset of flower, the mycelium
grow intracellularly through the xylem and plug the vessels [28, 29], produce toxins and several
enzymes [30, 31], and thereby disrupt host cells. Inoculation with M. phaseolina decreased the growth
and yield of mungbean by 32.1 45.5% and 36%, respectively.
Soil and seed borne nature of the pathogen creates problem for an effective management of the root
rot disease. Use of the chemicals is one of the best options for the management of plant diseases which
is quick as well as effective method. The present approach was to manage the root rot disease by using

V) INDUSTRY LIFE CYCLE
HIPANEMA is in a growth phase. It is a phase in the life cycle of an industry when companies move
beyond the startup phase into a phase of increased competition for market share.
Indeed, the turnover increased rapidly after the launch phase. If the market is attractive, the turnover
will increase and the product will not reach maturity quickly.
This period is characterized by a growth in sales of the product with a favorable word of mouth that
brings new customers. New competitors are also entering the market, attracted by the possibilities of
development (which may even be beneficial for the product).
INDUSTRY LIFE CYCLE CURVE
During this phase, HIPANEMA must try to support growth as long as possible by :
Improving product quality
Expand its range to reach more customers
Increase distribution
Continue communication campaigns
Lower gradually low prices.

Global Access For Crowd Capital The implications for entrepreneurs seeking to gain global access to crowd capital are discussed encompassing seven streams impacting the entrepreneurship innovation process from product concept, design leading up to commercialization of resulting intellectual property from crowdsourced initiatives along the lines of: (1) decision to buy, build or borrow the crowdsourcing platform; (2) ownership, technology transfer, and intellectual property rights; (3) leveraging value network, globalization, virtual communities, collectivities and social media; (4) financial model and innovation commercialization; (5) leveraging the business model and value creation by aggregating key competencies between the firm and the crowd while facilitating IP ... Moreover, it may have more functionality that is not warranted (e.g. prediction capabilities, idea reward currency, etc). To date, larger corporations, such as IBM, Dell, Cisco Systems, and Ericsson, have elected to build their own tools. Most have done so using internal staff and available platforms that conform to their IT environments. In the case of IBM, which has the most advanced tool, major upgrades have been done annually by external contractors with expertise not available in house. One advantage of developing a tool is the ability to customize it to the organization s need. On the other hand, as an increasing number of organizations become interested in adopting crowdsourcing tools, it becomes inefficient and uneconomical for entrepreneurs to build and code the platform from scratch. Furthermore, these synergistic solutions of customizing off the shelf commercial solution won t work well if desired results aren t clearly defined early in the crowdsourcing process. Denise Pope, co author of a study published in the Journal of Experimental Education, found that too much homework is associated with greater stress, reduction in health, and less time for friends, family and extracurricular pursuits. Having study hall prevents the negative effects of homework. Having study hall benefits the students as well as the teachers. With your father s occupation for me the pilot seemed plausible. Maybe it wouldn t seem very likely if we lived anywhere else but with the wright Patterson air force base so close by it was a strong possibility that he could have been a pilot. Not just the Wright Patt, but with Ohio being one of the birth places of aviation, the possibility got stronger. At least in my mind. This pretty good example of the availability heuristic, a tendency to estimate the odds that an event will occur by how easily these instances come to mind. • 8. George Dickie And I On The Aesthetic Attitude George Dickie and I on the Aesthetic Attitude Does the term aesthetic attitude have a true definition, or is it just a crafted myth charged with freeing the Aesthetic theory from an obsessive concern with beauty? Is the idea of the aesthetic attitude a misleading way of understanding the aesthetic experience? George Dickie tackles these tough questions in his critique of the aesthetic attitude titled, The Myth of Aesthetic Attitude (which will from now on be referred to as TMAA). In this essay I will discuss Dickies critique of the aesthetic attitude. In the first half I will consider the three main ways Dickie characterizes the aesthetic attitude and explain why he considers it to be a myth. In the second half I will examine the three reasons Dickie believes the aesthetic attitude is a misleading way to understand the aesthetic experience and also explain why I strongly agree with his beliefs. George Dickie begins his essay by introducing three theories that he categorizes according to how strongly he believes they characterize the aesthetic attitude. He argues that the strongest theory, posed by distance theorists Edward Bullough and Sheila Dawson, revolves around the technical term distance used in a way similar to, The man ... Vioxx remained on the market for approximately five years without adequate warnings about its risks. In September of 2004, Merck took Vioxx off the market after a study revealed that it doubled the risk of heart attack or stroke for patients that used it for more than 18 months. Although Merck claimed that they had no idea of these possibly lethal side effects, some internal documents imply that they had been aware of the problem for years and had not made moves to change it. Over 300 lawsuits have been filed against Merck, and it is expected that thousands more will arise. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Without their votes, the committee would have voted that Vioxx should not return to the market. Response Personally, I was shocked by the Merck/Vioxx situation. I could not believe that something that was basically proven to cause heart attacks and strokes was permitted to be put on the market in the first place, and the fact that it may be brought back is horrible. I believe that things are being handled terribly. Since so many of the members of the committee are financially connected with Merck amp; Co., they would obviously vote in a way that would support the company, and in turn, benefit themselves. It seems that the value of the well being of the patients that use this medication is being neglected while the Merck and its associates simply look out for themselves. I do not believe that Vioxx should be put back on the market. For one thing, it has already become clear how detrimental its side effects can be. Another reason is that allowing this drug to be put back on the market will only discourage efforts made to create drugs that will be just as effective but without the negative side effects. I also disagree with the statement made by the committee, which basically said that it was acceptable to disburse this drug as long as it had a warning and that a person should be able to ... • 13. Cost-Benefit Analysis of Arbitration Cost benefit analysis of arbitration Introduction Arbitration is legal technique used to resolve any disputes outside of the courts. Arbitration allows for speedy and cheap resolution of any disputes, the parties involved in a dispute agree to appoint a third person (arbitrator) who will hear their testimonies, and look into the evidence they provide. The arbitrator s decision cannot be challenged in a law court as it is considered final and the parties involved have to accept the decision (Brams Merrill, 1986). There are only very limited circumstances where the decision of an arbitrator can be challenged, and this is mostly if there can be proof from one of the parties showing that the arbitrator was biased in their decision or ruling. The chosen arbitrator will be an experienced person in the area of the dispute. Arbitration Costs The costs involved in normal arbitration are minimal and the amount of time the arbitrator takes in order to reach a decision is short as compared to normal litigation cases. The costs are minimal as there is no need for judges and juries to be involved. Some arbitration decisions may drag on for longer just as the normal litigation cases, and this would increase the costs incurred in preparation for the arbitration. The arbitrator s fees vary depending on the amounts involved in the suite and also the country where the arbitration will take place. While, as we grow society has unexplicitly forced us to follow the group, because they have really not given us any other options. This can be related to Robert Frost s poem Nothing Gold Can Stay in which children are unique and golden, although slowly they begin to see things with the rest of the world, through a single point of view, and lose their individual color. Many fail to realize how ignorant of a tourist they are. Kincaid explains that tourists are morally ugly and use other, less fortunate people, for their own amusement. She tries to enlighten those who are privileged to be more considerate when they are visiting new places. Published author Jamaica Kincaid wrote The Ugly Tourist, originally written in her book, A Small Place, where she tries to convince readers that tourists are, a piece of rubbish (207). Kincaid s attempt to convey to the audience that tourists are ignorant and morally ugly is partially successful, due to her satisfactory emotional appeal, yet inability to produce a less angry tone, along with minimal logical appeal. To begin, Kincaid uses emotional appeal throughout the essay to further her argument. She begins by painting the audience a picture of themselves in their everyday life. Walking with an everyday crowd, they begin to realize how alone you feel in this crowd, how awful it is to go unnoticed, how awful it is to go unloved (Kincaid 206). Kincaid starts off her piece by making her audience feel isolated and alone, setting the tone for the rest of the piece. She makes the everyday audience, who can afford to escape their everyday life, feel unappreciative of their situation. This furthers her argument by making the audience feel poorly about things they may take for granted, that many natives from poorer countries cannot afford. They may have the luxury to travel outside of their bubble, while natives do not have the same luxury as them. In addition, Kincaid makes the reader feel embarrassed. Kincaid restates, An ugly thing, that is what you are when you become a tourist, an ugly, empty thing, a stupid thing, a piece of rubbish pausing here and there... behind their closed doors they laugh at your strangeness (207). She gives the reader the idea that the natives are mocking tourists because they are not familiar with their surroundings. Where people should feel the joy of exploring new places, Kincaid ... • 20. Bureaucrats Vs Political Parties The Constitution contains a self contradictory structure that monopolist government bureaucrats and the police have been ignoring for many decades. In fact, it is the very Constitutionally mandated monopolies that bureaucrats illegitimately have that violate our God given rights. A century of government central planning has created generations of shortsighted, irresponsible rulers in America. With rule by emotion and not reason, we have police, legislative and court bureaucrats who do not seem able to see things form the point of view of an individual being criminally victimized by agents of the State. This immediately violates the individual s right to establish voluntary contracts with others. Contracts among individuals are the only business of the parties to such contracts, and not the business of government bureaucrats. My philosophy is that if it s none of the neighbors business, it s none of the government s business. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You requested an email listing the ideas I ve had (and that we ve spoken of in the past) for the Life Solutions Center. Let me begin with my perspective. It s my observation that the Life Solutions Center has grown, not only in membership and clients visiting the center, but also in reputation and influence in the community. I believe the center should try to increase it s influence and capitalize on it. So, what would this look like? If the Life Solutions Center is recognized by the surrounding Universities as a place that interns can work and get college credits we should tap on that resource and well as paid help in implementing the following: Videos: Quick, fun, interesting to post to the web site but more importantly all social media outlets. We would come up with a theme such as Question of the week , Life Solution Tip for This Week , And, most importantly, at the end there would be a question such as, Is there something in your life that you need a solution for ? Throughout history faith as basis of knowledge has been regarded as a controversial issue, especially in religion. This is mainly because religion is archaic, there are no traces of evidence but people strongly believe in it and they consider it as the truth. Unlike science, most people hinge on supernatural happenings in order to strengthen their belief, due to faith it has weakened religion because there is no evidence that s rational enough to support it. Take for instance, biblical claims are crammed with hidden connotations such as proverbs and various accounts such as the virgin birth of Jesus, the burning bush witnessed by Moses and the walking on water are perceived as either being misinterpreted, or embellished because the logic doesn t add up and their hasn t been any similar occurrences observed that could support this claims. Nevertheless, many people have stated that their religion is true and real; however there is a lot of emotion entangled in the belief which exposes certain people to confirmation bias. Most people are too obstructed to see something that s beyond their religion, considering the fact that there is no justification and evidence which makes it an even more fallible assumption. On the other hand, with religion comes faith and what faith tries to do, is to enlighten that the higher being cannot be studied in order to be comprehended therefore blind faith is the only way get to understand the purpose of this higher being . Both took the throne at a young age and both had many strengths and weaknesses. Louis XIV had many strengths during his reign as ruler of France. Appointing Jean Baptiste Colbert as his minister of finance made some of his greatest strengths and accomplishments. One strength was that of mercantilism, which is an economic theory under which a country increases its wealth by exporting more goods than it imports. He revoked Edict of Nantes who protected the religious freedom of the Huguenots. Instead of being imprisoned, more than 200,000 Huguenots fled from France. • 32. Root Rot Caused By M. Phaseolina Root rot caused by M. phaseolina (a soil as well as seed borne fungus) is a devastating disease of mungbean and causes serious yield losses. The present study has demonstrated that the fungus induced severe root rot in mungbean cv. T 44 and exhibited significant decline in the plant growth and yield. This has verified that the tested mungbean cv. T 44 was susceptible to the root rot fungus. Rotting of tap root and presence of few lateral roots is the characteristic symptom of the disease. Because of few lateral roots and root hairs, drying and withering of leaves occurs due to less water absorption. During the initial stages of pathogenesis, the fungal hyphae penetrates the root epidermis which is restricted to the intercellular spaces of the cortical tissues of the primary roots. Due to this, collapse of adjacent cells occurs and heavily infected plantlets may die. Afterwards at the onset of flower, the mycelium grow intracellularly through the xylem and plug the vessels [28, 29], produce toxins and several enzymes [30, 31], and thereby disrupt host cells. Inoculation with M. phaseolina decreased the growth and yield of mungbean by 32.1 45.5% and 36%, respectively. Soil and seed borne nature of the pathogen creates problem for an effective management of the root rot disease. Use of the chemicals is one of the best options for the management of plant diseases which is quick as well as effective method. The present approach was to manage the root rot disease by using ...
