3) Wastewater can be classified based on the type of constructed wetlands used for treatment, such as surface flow or subsurface flow wetlands.
4) There must be standards established for wastewater reuse depending on its intended use such as irrigation or industrial applications.

The passage discusses stereotypes and false judgments in Barbara Kingsolver's novel The Poisonwood Bible. It provides two examples from the novel where characters are judged based on stereotypes: 1) The Kilanga boys do not respect Leah Price as a teacher because of the stereotype that women should not be educators. 2) Nathan Price does not think daughters should go to college, believing education is wasted on women, showing his stereotypical views. The passage argues that judgment is always influenced by stereotypes, which leads to false feelings and notions.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can

One reason a drum is thought of having medicine is when the drum is made from cedar. The Cedar
tree has been known as a powerful healing tree and thus this medicine is passed on to the drum as a
sort of healing energy. The other reason that a drum is thought to have medicine is because of what
type of skin is used. Elk, deer, buffalo, horse, and moose, just to name a few, all have some kind of
significance when it comes to being used on a drum.
To the First Nations, deer is considered to have a connection to the circulatory system. To be more
precise, the Heart, the heart can be left unattended for long periods of time. This lack of attention can
lead to high poverty in the sense that there is never enough time, never enough money, or never
enough love. Native Americans believe that Deer opens the heart to allow them the teachings of trust
and to allow them to empower the power of love and wisdom. They feel that drumming with Deer has

remind them that they live in a universe filled with more than enough of every thing that is needed.
Drumming with Deer helps when the feeling of being unloved engulfs someone, it in turn reminds
them of the laws of circulation. In other words, when one is feeling unloved then its time to love
others and all things, and soon that love will be returned tenfold.

5. The Lost Worlds Of Flaherty Summary
As a young boy in Michigan, Flaherty spent little time in school and more time living a nomadic,
frontier life with his father, a mining engineer. His family soon moved to Canada and he soon found
himself prospecting for gold and iron ore from camp to camp and during this series of expeditions,
Flaherty learned to survive in the wilderness from the miners and the local Inuit ( The Lost Worlds of
Flaherty ).
After a second expedition to the Hudson Bay area, upon the suggestion of his boss, Sir William
Mackenzie, Flaherty bought a Bell and Howell 16 mm film camera and decided to make a visual
record of the extraordinary lives and customs he witnessed in the Canadian north ( The Lost Worlds of
Flaherty ). Flaherty mentions in the preface of Nanook of the North that when he was not seriously
engaged in exploratory work, he would compile films of the Eskimos living with him ( The Lost
Worlds of Flaherty ). He also notes that he has no prior experience in filming. Considering the quality
of Nanook, I find this particularly remarkable. That said, Flaherty s first efforts to make his visual
record of the desolate Canadian north were wasted due to the film catching fire just as Flaherty
finished editing it. Flaherty went north again, for the sole purpose of making a film, and this
ultimately led to the making of Nanook of the North, which is essentially a typified, romanticized
version of a young Inuk man and his family s life and struggles ( The Lost Worlds of Flaherty ).
Even though some parts of his documentaries were staged, I believe Flaherty staged some of the
events in his documentaries to present a more compelling story, and not necessarily to deceive the
viewers or portray a skewed depiction of the subject. Also, given the technology at that time, Flaherty
might have staged some scenes in his documentaries for practicality purposes. I don t think anyone
would want to waste film just filming mundane everyday activities, given that film is expensive and
hard to come by during the time. I believe Flaherty staged some scenes to create a structure for his
documentaries. He did it to make the audience relate to his work more. That said, Flaherty was still a
man of his time and he definitely did not see his

6. Ethnographic Analysis Of A Park
1.0 Introduction
Information from the informant and the urban residents provides background information concerning
the park, analyzing the importance of the park over the years, and also getting opinions and attitudes
of the park users. Based on this information, analysis of the goals for the park are developed and
articulated in well architectural drawings that will play part in setting the platform for the eventual
redesign and development of the park.
1.1 Architecture
Architecture can be seen as the process and product of planning and designing. For instance,
architectural designs and plans often give constructors the overall view of how buildings and other

By so doing creation of sustainable revenue for the park will be achieved leading to creation of

2.2.1 Provision of greater accessibility to the park

who will design and plan how the park should accommodate the ease flow of people within the park.
The park should be upgraded to provide for improved parking lots and access and also provide for a
more centralized public transportation access within the park.

Parks have always been classified as either active or passive spaces. Active spaces within the park are
typically those that provide for formal recreational areas and organized for activities such as sporting
activities.Hard non green spaces, such as basketball and tennis courts can be referred to as active
spaces, which enable people to exercise physical activities that enhance their healthy living. On the

7. The Death Of The Road
The boy in The Road is similar to Jesus in his innocence. His father would weep over his son because
of the goodness the boy displayed which the world possessed no longer (McCarthy 129). The boy had
a natural affinity to the world, even though the world treated him so harshly. His mother killed herself
(McCarthy 58), his father was sick, and his childhood had been taken from him. However, he still
showed love to those around him. One example is a man who called himself Ely on the road. Although
the old man was crippled and obviously destined for death, the boy wanted to give him food. The boy
convinced his father to not only give the man some food but to camp out with him for the night
(McCarthy 165). The innocence the boy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because of his boldness he had against the evil in the world, specifically a group of religious leaders
called the Pharisees, Jesus created enemies who wanted to kill him. Jesus became an enemy of the
Pharisees, and they were not going to rest until they found a way to kill him. They schemed against
him and captured him. After some legal dispute, the people decided to crucify Jesus. He endured much
suffering through his death. He was scourged, tortured, and nailed to a cross, suffering an
unfathomable amount of pain as a perfect man (HCSB, Luke. 23). After being dead and buried in a
tomb for three days, Jesus rose from the dead. His resurrection proved he did indeed die for the sins of
the world, and the world now had hope of salvation because of his grace and sacrifice. The boy in The
Road also becomes a victim of the cruel world that he inhabits. He is an innocent boy who becomes an
enemy of the evil world. The world is cold and dark. However, as his father tells him, the boy is
carrying the fire. The father sees the goodness in the boy and encouraged the boy to keep carrying that
fire (McCarthy 278). The man knows that the world would try to extinguish the fire of morality the
boy possessed. However, the man also sees how fire prevails in the midst of coldness and the boy s
morality would prevail in the midst of evil, as long as that fire continues to be stoked by the kindness
of the boy. The death of the father proves the strength

8. Jean Watson Theory Of Caring Paper
Compassion, Care, and Practice Introduction In this paper, the concept of compassion is explored and
examined using Watson s Caring Theory, particularly the Carative Processes. The concept is analyzed
in terms of humanistic behaviours and acceptance of emotions within the context of a specific clinical
experience, one that involves the care of a patient who is unresponsive. Also, the use of touch and
creative communication strategies (specifically towards unresponsive or unconscious patients) are
suggested as potential interventions to promote compassionate acts, and ultimately compassionate
care. Essentially, this paper proposes that the demonstration of caring behaviours promote an
individual s health because it serves to heal one s emotional and psychological features, as opposed to
only treating the superficial disease. Compassion as a Concept Compassion is commonly defined as
the desire to alleviate an individual s distress. A few authors extend this definition to include exploring
one s experiences and promoting one s autonomy. This concept is demonstrated ... Show more content

9. What Is The Impact Of Beethoven Symphony 3
Ludwig Van Beethoven was a German composer and pianist born in 1770. He is one of the most well
known composers in western music history, and is regarded as a crucial figure in the transition
between the Classical and Romantic eras of music. In 1792, Beethoven migrated to Vienna, a thriving
cultural hub of Europe, and lived there for the rest of his life. During this time, which is characterised
as the late Classical Period, society underwent many socio political changes, such as the French
Revolution. In this essay I will examine how the political climate of Europe influenced and inspired
the composition of music, through the example of Beethoven s Symphony No. 3: Eroica.

It is most well known for its connection with the historical figure Napoleon Bonaparte, who was a
primary leader of the French Revolution and First Consul of the state at the time. Being a
revolutionary himself, Beethoven held Bonaparte in high regard, and dedicated Symphony No. 3 to
him, with the initial title Sinfonia Bonaparte . However, later in 1804, Bonaparte declared himself
Emperor of France, and upon hearing this, Beethoven flew into a rage, [...] took hold of the title page
at the top, ripped it all the way through, and flung it on the floor (Sipe, 31 ). Only then did he rename
the work Sinfonia Eroica , or Heroic Symphony . Thus, it is apparent through the initial title of
Sinfonia Bonaparte , that the composition of this piece was primarily influenced by Beethoven s
political convictions of the revolution, and his great admiration for the man who appeared to be its
leader. We can also see that the sudden destruction of the cover page of the symphony and the abrupt
title change was due to the sudden betrayal by Bonaparte, and this shows us the intensity of Beethoven
s feelings of rage as his homage was turned into disillusionment when Bonaparte crowned himself
Emperor and altered politics in France

12. Persuasive Essay On Land Value Tax
Taxes have always been a contentious subject in any political discourse. Tax rates, methods of
taxation, and other such details are constantly debated and reshaped in order to generate the most
revenue and best serve the public. It is the responsibility of the government to pass fair taxes on its
citizens that provide optimum efficiency as well as tangible benefits to the welfare of its citizens. One
crucial reform to taxation that is being proposed is the Land Value Tax(LVT) which will have
compounding benefits to the country it is implemented in. A LVT is a tax levied on the unimproved
value of land as opposed to property taxes which take into account the value of the property on the
land itself. The idea of LVT originated all the way back to the 18th century and it has seen successful
modern application in countries like Australia, Hong Kong and Estonia and even the U.S. state
Pennsylvania. Land Value Tax must be implemented in the United States because the LVT encourages
economic decision making, it is a progressive tax that benefits the poor in society while combating
harmful speculation and it is more efficient than its counterpart, property taxes. Financial risk is the
foundation of any economic decision and often more risk results in a greater reward. One of the main
arguments in favor of Land Value Taxes is that they will incentivize home improvement and property
buildup which are economically risky decisions. The reason for this is that in the status quo, property
taxes increase when a property is improved or built upon which discourages people from making said
decisions. According to Amanda Hurley from The Architect magazine, Economists believe that LVT is
superior to a property tax because the latter disincentivizes owners from improving a property, while
the former might encourage them to make the highest and best use of their land (Hurley 2017). In
simple terms, deciding to build upon or improve property has no negative effects to the owners of said
property. This will provide an increase in the development of properties and previously abandoned lots
wherever the LVT is extolled. Development is an invaluable barometer for the economic prosperity of
a city because if more people decide to

The Odyssey is an epic by the ancient Greek poet Homer that tells the story of Odysseus s journey to

has to face many challenges to get home. In the story, Odysseus was sometimes at the point where it

through lighting, texture, and music played a significant role in customer s experience. As mentioned
previously in the report, the atmosphere of a store is important to how consumers will interact with
products and make decisions within the store. The atmosphere at Festival Foods and Capitol Centre

other hand, Capitol Centre Market was overall more enclosed with very little to no natural lighting.

The grid organization of both grocery stores helped people easily find what they needed while
encouraging people to buy more items. The signage is also another factor that influence customers
wayfinding and shopping satisfaction. Festival food particularly had very good signage. Each different
districts of the grocery store was well marked and each aisle was numbered and had overhanging signs
with the type of items that were in each aisle. Similarly, Capitol Centre Market s aisle were also
labeled, however, the signage was minimal can make it difficult to find the product people needs. The
minimal signage, according to the customers we interviewed, was compensated by the fact that their
employees were helpful and knowledgeable about where things are. It is also important to keep in
mind that Festival Foods is a significantly larger grocery store than Capitol Centre Market so the
signage for the two different stores varied. Overall, most of the interviewees were easily able to find
the items they needed with the help of signs, organization, and employees.
The theory of Gibson s Affordances, a concept that refers to the idea that certain surfaces, substances
or layouts will elicit specific behavioral responses in people (Gifford, 2014, p. 30) is also apparent and
extremely relevant. For example, Festival Foods has tall vertical aisles in a store which encourages
customers to proceeds to walk through them because

16. Analysis Of The Film Portrait Of Disability
Portrait of Disability in the Film Industry
Perceptions and stereotypes of people with disabilities have tended to remain the same over the past
year, despite the continual progressing technology and legal rights. People with physical and mental
disabilities are stigmatized because their bodies and minds do not reflect the norm. Different
organizations and scholars have argued that the film industry in most of the cases has unjustly
represented disabled people. Using the method of observation to analyze A Beautiful Mind (2001),
Silver Linings Playbook (2012), The Intouchables (2012), and Me Before You (2016) one can point
out those moments where these movies break or perpetuate the major stereotypes and myths about

Acts of kindness and charity make the world go round . As one person helps another, a type of pay it
forward phenomenon may occur. If this did happen, and everyone who was helped gave up a little bit
of their time to help another, many lives would be changed for the better. In many cases, where quite a
bit of participation is needed, overseers may lure contestants in with some sort of inducement. Do
people really deserve and often expect accolades for what they have done? Even though some rewards
in return for acts of charity are healthy in moderation, frequent incentives would undermine the actual
cause of helping others. If every good deed had a small reward, opposition would be scarce. However,
if this reward would be used to boost students grades or give employees raises, many would become
skeptical. This is evident when students receive enrichment points for participating and contributing to
a charity drive for those affected by natural disasters or other catastrophic events. When students know
ahead of time that they have an opportunity to increase their grade in a certain class, they will most
likely contribute as much as they can for free points. The careless donating may seem impeccant and

From the Crusader s point of view, Islam and Judaism should be replaces by Christianity totally even
with the help of violence. In this way, the Crusaders began their persecution against the Jews
throughout the European continent. When Jerusalem was finally caught, the Muslim and Jewish
people were killed in bulk. Later, the slaughter against Muslim and Jews was utilized as an excuse to

people in the European began to lose faith in the Roman Catholic Church since it was no longer

Is being human perfect without flaws or can we be a little imperfect? Are we humans not permitted to
show weakness? Do we need to act more like machines with no flaws in them? Christina Perri s song
Human from her Head or Heart album, is about being able to admit your defaults and accepting them
without changing yourself. The song Human by Christina Perri uses repetition, symbolism and
metaphor to reveal that we re human that have faults, we cannot be perfect without having faults and
we shouldn t change for anyone. The message of the song is we re human that have faults, we cannot
be perfect without faults and shouldn t try changing for others. The song s constant use of I can... is
saying that we can do anything, but then we hear; I m only human , which contradicts each other.
Because the lyrics saying you can do anything but at the same time its saying we have limits. I can do
it/But I m only human (11, 14). Christina repeats these two phrases through out her song to make us
understand that it s okay to not be perfect. We see that the singer makes herself believe that she cannot
be flawed, because then she won t find happiness. Then she goes and tells us that she s only human,
which we realize that us human are not perfect. Yet she says its fine being defected. The singer makes
us relate to what she is singing about by repeating; And I bleed when I fall down/I m only human/And

Figuring out what made you, you is a hard thing to accomplish, is it a mixture of your mother s

that distant look in your eye you got from your grandmother. To include education into this age old
question brings up another. Who had the biggest impact on my life, the one who made me decide that
continuing my education was worth it. I would have to say it would have to be my father, a man who

The term, progress, is synonymous with phrases that denote moving forward, growth, and

viewed: as being a natural progression from the outdated and tried towards the new and improved.
Wright posits that it is the world s relentless creation of innovative methods that ironically contributes
to the progress trap rather than to progress itself, the intended objective. Wright s coinage of the term
progress trap refers to the phenomenon of innovations that create new complications that are typically

The humans living in that period were unable to supplement their previous diet, which was rich in

resource depletion. What is interesting is the similarities that can be drawn from the examples of
Easter Island and Sumer, like the widespread ignorance of the masses to actively prevent the abrasion

24. Mexican American Perception Of Mexican Immigrants In America
Izard, Isaac
16 Oct. 2017
The Problem with America
The pattern of companies recruiting Mexican workers and those workers being deported, and the
blatant racism present in America, including actions by the US government laid the foundation for the
Mexican Struggle. The people who exploited Mexican workers began by propagating specific
stereotypes that were to their favor. These corporations insinuated that Mexicans were genetically
made for the kind of work which they were being given. The spreading of these stereotypes played a
significant role in the Mexican American reception of Mexican Immigrants. They didn t want to be
associated with the negative ideas being spread around about Mexicans. Thus, they took shelter in
their American citizenship and before long, they too were rallying for the same immigration
restrictions.
Understanding how Mexican Americans felt about Mexican Immigrants is important to understanding
a specific aspect of the Mexican Struggle. Mexican Workers also had to work against Mexican
Americans in the United States. Not only were white rallying for immigration restrictions, but so were
Mexican Americans. Lots of Mexican Americans didn t like Mexican Immigrants due to the state of
the job market. Many whites believed that Mexican workers were temporary and had no staying

Cellular
The best known theory of aging in cellular research is called the Hayflick
Effect, which is named after the American microbiologist Leonard Hayflick. He found that certain
human cells could only divide a limited number of times before they die. This may suggest that aging
is programmed into cells. This could also account for the differences in the life spans of different
animal species, and the differences in the life spans between the sexes within the same species.
Physiological
These theories focus on organ systems and their interrelationships. One area currently being
investigated is the immune system. As we age the immune system gradually loses its capacity to fight
off infections and other invaders.
As a result, antibodies are produced that cannot tell the difference between
friendly cells and enemy cells. Most experts now believe that aging represents many phenomena
working together (Poehlman, 2012).
PHYSICAL CHANGES
The physical changes that accompany aging are not necessarily incapacitating, even though they may
be discomforting or limiting.
The body has less strength and endurance as it ages. The rate of energy production in the body cells is
gradually lowered so that people tire more easily and are more sensitive to weather changes. Sexual
desire and ability lower although they never entirely end for either sex. The capacity to bear children
ends in women with menopause, which is the time

Throughout this course, I have studied and participated in various methods of research. There were
some methods I loved, some that I thought were useful, but they had their limitations, and a few that I
did not particularly enjoy. Let s start one of the methods that I enjoyed the most, direct observation. I
used direct observation for the eating observation assignment. I first thought that I would be very
uncomfortable using this method, but once I was practicing it I did not feel uncomfortable. I think this
method is very useful since people act like themselves when they believe no one is watching. This
allows researches to collect accurate data without the worry that the data could be skewed. Since my
participant did not know that he was being observed, he felt comfortable is his surroundings to act like
himself. I do like this research method and I would use it again, however there is a down side to the
method. Since you cannot talk to you re participants you then have to make your own conclusions,
which may not always be accurate. This problem also comes up with systematic observation.
Systematic observation was a method that I did not particularly enjoy. I found that there were too
many flaws with the method, like the one previously stated. Another flaw with systematic observation
is that the researcher is taking their own preconceived notions into their research. With systematic
observation, one is looking for something that they believe people to do. The problem with

The loss of a family member is always hard to deal with and it affects everyone differently. Some
people are open about their feelings and others bottle them up. In terms of relationships within a
family, usually the closest is between the parent and child. When this relationship is cut short or is
nonexistent because of a loss it can be especially devastating. The loss of a family member does not
always refer to an actual physical loss, but can also refer to an emotional distance put between two
people. In The Shawl by Louise Erdrich, there is an example of a physical loss and its effects on the
family, while in Bone Black by Bell Hooks the loss shown is of the emotional kind and it s aftermath.

Courage is an interesting word. Courage can be a feeling or an act. In the novel To Kill a

courage really is. The first character I will discuss is Mrs Dubose. Mrs Dubose is a very old woman
battling an illness and a morphine addiction. Secondly, I will discuss Tom Robinson. Tom is a black
man who is (falsely) accused of rape by Mayella Ewell. Finally I will explain why Atticus Finch is
courageous. Atticus is the father of the novel s narrator Scout or Jean Louise Finch. All three
characters demonstrate great bravery throughout the novel, each have their hardships and each try to
push through the adversity to their best ability.

As a reader, I found Atticus to be the most courageous character in the novel. The reasons behind this
statement are that Atticus defends a black man in court, he stands up to the lynch mob in front of the
jailhouse and because he can fight without words. First, Atticus is very valorous for taking the Tom
Robinson case. For a white man to be acquainted with a black man who was not his slave was rather
sporadic. Even after all of the physical and verbal abuse Atticus took he kept his word and defended
Tom for all he was worth. I can t stay here all day and this summer is going to be a hot one. (Atticus,
Page 128) As a reader, this was the greatest act of courage executed in the novel. For Atticus to risk
his respect, family and life to protect a black man took great bravery and sacrifice. Secondly, Atticus
protected Tom from he lynch mob at the jailhouse. As the men poured out of the car towards Atticus,
he was undaunted buy the moving shadows approaching him. In ones and twos, men got out of the
cars. Shadows became substance as lights revealed solid shapes moving toward the jail door. Atticus
remained where he was. (Scout, Page 152 153) Atticus fearlessly confronted the mass of angry men

amount of CO2 produced per minute. The results show a trend wherein increased concentrations of
sucrose increase the rate of cellular respiration. Introduction All living cells require energy in order to

Chemical and seed companies have been working the last several years to alter the genetic make up of
certain crops to combat heavy pressure from insects and weeds. Through genetic manipulation plant
breeders have been able to make certain crops resistant to different types of chemicals and insects.
Breeders can alter the crops by adding to a specific plant one or more genes from other related crops
with a known resistance to an insect or herbicide The use of genetically engineered crops has become
a hotly debated topic over the last couple of years. Environmentalists are concerned with how these
new crops will affect the environment. Farmers want to know how these crops will help them to
increase production ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Roundup works by inhibiting enzymes essential to plant growth. By increasing the enzymes produced
in plants, the plant is unaffected by the herbicide (Monsanto Crossroads). With the insertion of the
Roundup resistant and Bt genes, the negative environmental impacts from agriculture can be reduced.
One way environmental damage can be reduced is by decreasing pesticide use. According to
Monsanto, Bollgard cotton, a variety resistant to bollworms, was used in 13% of the total cotton crop
in 1996. Sixty percent of those growers used no insecticide, most others only used one application.
This is compared to an average of 4 to 6 applications. The reduced applications saved a quarter million
gallons of insecticide. Monsanto has also developed potatoes with resistance to the Colorado potato
beetle. Farmers using this new variety reported eliminating 1 5 insecticide applications. The total
reduction in applications of insecticides was between 33% 42% over conventional methods (Biotech
Benefits).
By inserting the Bt gene into the plant cell, only the insects that are damaging the crop are killed.
Conversely, when the Bt gene is used in a pesticide spray many more insects that may have been
beneficial to the crop are killed (ESA Position Statement). By having insect resistance built in, farmers
can eliminate costly trips across the field needed to spray insecticides. Much like Bt corn,

31. How to Satisfy Hunger with Home Cooking for Today
Home cooking offer dishes with exceptional taste and satisfaction. However, modern living often
leaves little time for cooking at home (National Restaurant Association, n.d.). Due to modernization
and adjustments in the lifestyles of many people, the means of complying with the demand of
satisfying their hunger has changed dramatically.
According to a research conducted by the National Restaurant Association (2013), about 33% of the
consumers say that spending in fast food restaurants is an indispensable part in their lifestyles. It is for
the reason that people in this fast phasing world prefer convenience foods that are served very quickly
more than the home cooked meals that take time to prepare. This trend is sustained through the
emergence of a prominent industry the fast food.
Fast food industry is perceived to be an American conception. It is said to first begin in the United
States of America in 1912 with the opening of a simple fast food restaurant called the Automat, which
serve foods and drinks through coin and bill operated vending machines.
The idea of this firm was soon followed and more popularized by the White Castle Restaurant in
Wichita, Kansas in 1916. An article entitled Fast Food (n.d.) said that fast food restaurants have come
a long way when Billy Ingram and Walter Anderson sold hamburgers for five cents apiece, and
launched the first high speed hamburger chain, the White Castle Restaurant.

32. Adult Education Policy Analysis
In terms of policy development, an educational issue that is always changing each year is adult
education. The adult leaner can be one the trickiest populations to educate, because adults come from
many different backgrounds. In my opinion, adult education starts when a student beings their
educational career in undergrad, and continues with post bachelor degrees, work place environments,
and even at home.
According to Kristen Caschera, the three most significant challenges an adult learner faces are
balancing school and life responsibilities, accessibility, and cost (Cashera, 2013). This is an issue in
policy development because in order to run an effective educational program, it must need to meet the
needs of an adult learn, focusing on
